初めてのアパートメントタイプのホテル！
とても快適に連泊できました。


3世代で1部屋の利用しましたが、リビングありのそれぞれのお部屋にドアもあり、トイレも２つ、ドラム式洗濯機、キッチンにお風呂も2つ(1つはシャワーのみ)とても過ごしやすくて良かったです！

共有スペースに子供のフリースペースもあって良かったです！

また利用したいと思えるホテルでした！

I would not recommend this hotel

Not good. Was forced to change rooms in the middle of the night and as a result lost important items. It was left in the room but never found by the cleaning crew. Was then forced to pay for lost items.

私たちもゆっくりと快適に過ごせました。ありがとうございます。ただ、残念だったのは、浴室の清掃が行き届いてなかった事です。オレンジ色でヌルヌルカビが生えそうな箇所がありました。

Restful stay outside the city

If you're looking to stay in Tokyo, outside the hustle and bustle of the main area, consider Mimaru Tokyo Ikebukuro. It's a great location on the corner a few blocks away from the main street of restaurants and about 5 blocks away from the Ikebukruo station, with a Family Mart conveniently a block away.

The staff is welcoming and friendly. They will get you checked in and to your room immediately.

We had a Non Smoking, 4 Twin Beds and 1 Twin Bunk Bed room (2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room/kitchenette) and it was very comfortable for our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids (8yo, 5yo). Everything was tidy and clean, and you had all the basic essentials you needed in the kitchenette (mugs, cups, plates, utensils, paper towels, soap, sponge).

We also had a washer/dryer in the room, which made it convenient to do laundry each day!

I recently stayed at this hotel and it was a fantastic experience! The location is perfect, just a short 9-minute walk from the station, making it extremely convenient. There are numerous restaurants nearby, offering a variety of dining options.

The apartment itself was spacious and impeccably clean, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment throughout my stay. The staff were also exceptional—friendly, helpful, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure a pleasant stay.

I had such a great time that I am already looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommended!

Great for family stay. Spacious rooms. Appreciate the separation of toilet and bath area. Abt 8mins walk to entrance of station depending on which line you are taking. The walk from station to mimaru can be quite daunting especially late at night with lots of nightlife along the way. Hsekeeping daily, sheets chg every 3 days, 9 days total clean up. Overall an good option and will choose to stay again.

Suite was very large for Tokyo. Bedroom was small as expected, but there was a sizable living room and 2 bathrooms for 2 bedrooms and 4 adults.
New or recently renovated building provided for an excellent stay.
Very close to the train station, about 5 min walk.

The Japanese Apartment was perfect for my family (2 adults & 2 kids). Having tatami style beds means we didn’t have to worry about the kids falling off the bed. There was enough space for them to play. The property is clean & staff are friendly and helpful. The property is about a 600m walk to Ikebukuro Station (exit C9 has an elevator/lift for those with luggage or a pram). We didn’t spend much time exploring Ikebukuro, but there seems to be plenty of dining options nearby.

The staff and room were very good. The area is slightly far from the station but within walking distance. The walk is through a lane hosting girls bars which might be an issue for some but they don't really bother tourists.
Bunk might be small for 2 kids who are teens and we had to upgrade to the 2 bed room category

Mostly English speaking staff. Friendly and helpful. A less the. 10 min straight shot away from Ikebukuro Station. Area always feels alive without being too crowded like some of the more touristed areas like Shibuya. Less than 20 min walk away from Sunshine City which among other things has a Pokémon Center.

The rooms are cozy and clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. The room is spacious and equipped with all electrical appliances.
And there are lots of restaurant around, easy to find good food.
It just take less than 10 mins walk to metro/JR station.

The five members of my family enjoyed the stay overall, but the worst thing was the heaters in each room were stink we couldn't even turn them on even though it was a bit cold at night. A team came to clean them on the day we leave the hotel. I bet there were many complaints about it. Other than that, it is a good place for a big family to stay. It's a bit of a walk to any subway stations.

We stayed in the City View 2-bedroom suite. The view of the city was great at night. The layout of the room especially the hallway entrance was a bit tight. The washer/dryer combo was right across from the shower room so you couldn’t have both doors open without hitting each other. The kitchen was also in the hallway. I would’ve preferred a different layout. The mattresses were a bit firm but the duvet was comfy. There weren’t any nightstands in the bedrooms for my husband to put his cpap machine on and very few outlets to plug our devices in. The shower pressure was awesome. The best shower I had while in Japan. I did not like the washer/dryer unit. It took over 6 hours to do one load. There was also a warning sign that if the dryer overheats, the door would auto-lock which meant that you could not remove your clothes until it cooled down. The sign said to allow for 10-20 minutes but it took well over an hour. I learned to just do a load before we left for the day and when we got back at night. Staff was friendly and welcoming. The hotel is near the red light district but we didn’t find it bothersome and the area felt safe. The train station is about a 10 minute walk and there are plenty of restaurants, shopping, and combinis nearby.

방은 좋았어요, 넓고, 테이블도있고, 다른 리뷰를 보면 아이들과 좋다고해서 갔는데요. 여긴 아이들보다 친구들과 갈수있는곳 같아요. 호텔은 좋은데 주변이 밤에 돌아다니기 좋은곳은 아니었습니다. 서비스는 너무 좋았어요. 영어잘하는 스텝들이 많아서 편했습니다!

It was amazing for families but you have to remember you are not at a hotel kind of hotel.

If you expect hotel services 24/7, this is not for you.

But if you love space and cook your own meal and easy going, this is the best.

We love the location! A little bit away from shops but still close enough! Most of all, everywhere around is fooooooooood!

The perfect place to stay for a family tip.

It was a great experience for us, three adults and one 13yrs boy, staying this place for 4nights in Ikebukuro. It was very comfortable with 2 bedrooms, 2 bath rooms, 2 tv, big living room with 2 tables. The front desk was very nice letting us to have our relatives visiting us and letting us to extend more 2 hours of checking out paying extra 5000 yen, $40.-or so. They also let us leave our luggage at the lounge until we were ready for the airport bus.
The room was 14th floor and very quiet in spite of the middle of the busy town. Ikebukuro station is a few blocks away and there are many shops and restaurants and a big department store. I do stay at the hotel for next time when I come with my family.

Perfect option for families

Mimaru Ikebukuro was an excellent fit for our family trip (me, husband, toddler, and mother-in-law). It was the only place I found in central Tokyo with a 2-bedroom apartment-style hotel room. The size & layout of the apartment was thoughtful, and the amenities were great (e.g. highchair & crib provided, towels changed daily, washer/dryer in unit, etc.).

Staying in the Ikebukuro neighborhood was great; there are lots of good restaurants and shops around, and the local train station is a major transit hub - perfect for sightseeing. There's also a taxi stand and an airport bus pickup at the station. Lastly, the staff at Mimaru were especially helpful; they helped us untangle any challenges that arose (e.g. where to buy diapers in big packs, using Uber Eats in Tokyo, and how to book our bus tickets back to the airport).

We would absolutely book with Mimaru on future trips to Japan!

Good place to stay in Ikebukuro

The services provided were basic but sufficient. Housekeeping doesn’t make the room daily but does so every 3 to 4 days. Fresh sheets are provided when they make the room. Trash in the room is cleared every day and fresh towels were also provided daily. About 7 minutes walk to Ikebukuro Station. Convenience stores located within 2 to 3 minutes walk. Overall, a very pleasant place to stay.

My family (2A 2C) booked this hotel for our first time and are very happy and satisfied with our 8days in Tokyo.

Comfortable and around a 5-7 mins walk from Ikebukoro JR station from west exit. Alot of eateries and familymart/7-11 around to get items.

Front desk staffs are helpful and friendly! However, do note that they do not change bedsheets on a daily basis or make your bedsheet, they do this on every 3days. Towels can be requested to replace on a daily basis.

What we like about this hotel is that the rooms are spacious considering the hotels that we have been to in tokyo are very small to fit a family of 4 like us with young children.

There is a laundry area on lvl 2 to do your washing and drying with detergents provided. There is a resting area should you nees to wait as well.

Overall on the price point and experiences we had, we definately will come back to this hotel again should we come Tokyo in the near future!

Amazing hotel! Ikebukuro is a great location in itself, but the hotel is also well-positioned for explorations around Tokyo. Staff were super helpful and welcoming. Our family room was large, comfortable, and had everything we needed for our 8 night stay. We made use of the laundry room a couple of times and found it very convenient. We would very happily stay here again.

Prior to arrival emails were answered promptly. Rooms are large for Tokyo. Staff spoke English very well and were able to assist in using luggage transfer. Front desk even called ahead to next hotel to confirm luggage acceptance. Would recommend and stay again.

This clean, newer two bedroom two bath suite is recommended with ample space for a family. Practically a full kitchen and clothes washer, which came in handy for our week stay. 10-15 minute walk to train station was convenient and used every day to our trek throughout Tokyo. 711 and Family mart at every block. Friendly staff and front desk. Alia was very knowledgable of the area - esp. shopping in Tokyo 👍.

The staff go above and beyond to help you. Rooms are clean and spacious. Unlike most hotels in Tokyo, this is very spacious. Spacious bathroom, plenty of floor space for luggages, generous closet space. Beds and duvets are very comfortable. Family Mart just a few steps away and 7/11 nearby. Many dining options nearby.

The rooms were spacious. I love the coffee (UCC). The staff was friendly and helpful. When there was forecast of rain they put umbrellas in our room and there were more at the lobby to borrow. There are lots of nearby popular restos that have way shorter lines than in other areas - Ichiran, Ikinari, Gyukatsu Motomuta. The rate is also a lot cheaper than in other branches. Walking distance to bus station (to and from airport, to and from Gotemba) and train. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Cleaning standard is a bit poor

I think the cleaning is a bit poor as I can find stain on the toilet seat when I enter the room. Apparently, the staff did not clean the toilet before checking in. I also think they did not put the amenities in the room which is a bit inconvenient as I need to ask the amenities every time I check in. The size of room is good compare to other hotels.

Nice place for family

Nice hotel for family. You’ll have enough space to open 3 or more suitcases. The bathroom is separate with toilet, so you can occupy both in the same time. You can also communicate with front desk easily by English. The location is also a plus, two convenient store within 2 min walk. The train station is about 10 min walk. Strongly recommended.

Direction to hotel not very clear, couldn't find exit 17. Convenient amenities nearby hotel. Room was huge considering Tokyo but no bottled water provided. Kitchen functions serve well for a family trip with toddler.

接待人員很熱心。房間設施很不錯，家族人員可以分房間住宿，房間裡有洗衣機，可以天天洗衣不用擔心明天沒衣服穿。
飯店距離池袋西口車站步行約十分鐘，靠近池袋西口一帶有很多餐廳可以選擇。或是飯店附近也有便宜好吃的熟食便當店以及超商可以利用。

從池袋站步行前往時，如果按google建議路線走，會經過很多聲色場所，帶小孩可能不OK，或是得改走稍微遠點的大馬路。整體上mimaru的住宿體驗很讚，已住過多間不同地點的mimaru。下此來東京玩，還是會優先選擇mimaru
