スタッフの方もよく挨拶してくださり、好感が持てました。

チェックインもスムーズで、　
部屋も掃除が行き届いていました。
特にバスタブとシャワーが別なのが良い。
身体を洗っている間にバスタブにお湯をためられてgood！
立地条件もアクセスが良い場所で大変便利です。

辿りつくまで迷いましたが、立地は抜群です。
お部屋は広くも無く狭くも無く、問題無し。
素泊まりでしたらリピします。

京都市内観光をするのには、便利。
交通の便もよく、食事をするのにも困らない。
ルーフバルコニーも解放されているので、ゆっくりとした時間も楽しめました。
繁華街なので、夜遅くまで賑やかな声が聞こえてました。
スタッフの方も、丁寧に対応して下さいました。

三条木屋町の便利な立地なのに、部屋は静かで快適に過ごせました。部屋も広くて落ち着き、バストイレ別だったので非常に快適でした。

Clean, comfortable bed. Surprisingly quiet. The bathroom sink had non existent hot water pressure and the bidet had only cold water. Other than that great location and would stay again.

Had a corner room. Beautiful tinted windows on two walls. Best bathroom we encountered in our entire Japan stay. A bathtub with a skyline view! Terrific location with a huge array of food and shopping options steps from the hotel.

Très bon

Très bien situé dans Kyoto. Tout peut se faire à pied en centre ville.
L’arrêt démet est à moins de5 minutes à pied
Chambre de taille correcte pour le Japon.
Notre chambre a disposée d’un fauteuil de massage qui fait un bien fou après une longue journée de marche.

Cozy place in Kyoto

Very cute, comfortable, conveniently located. We also got lucky and had a corner room so having to windows with light coming in was amazing plus the tinted glass window sliding sliding covers were good.

The Aru is extremely well located, is very quiet, and has a lovely ambience and decor. The Japanese breakfast was excellent. We also found our room to be quite large by Japanese standards. We loved our stay there and would highly recommend it.

We are an American couple of two — Our room was very, very spacious and had all of the amenities we typically get in the USA, even the outlets. Everything was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. We got some free drink vouchers, free coffee/tea in the lobby, and one free water bottle each day, per person.
We had an incident where an expensive necklace went down the sink drain. The staff was extremely helpful and called a plumber for us to get it out for free! We had to leave kyoto the next day so we were worried we wouldn’t get it in time. The staff worked out many different options and they were very accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel.

Property is located in a central area, filled with shops and food, really easy to get around with public transport close by. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful, rooms have excellent quality amenities, just a little bit small which is understandable. Really enjoyed the stay there and would highly recommend!

Great hotel + location

Had a great time! The location was great for public transit connections, sightseeing opportunities and food. The hotel and room was great, especially the bathroom was quite spacious. We would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family. The beds were a bit stiff for our tastes, and the windows were a bit drafty which made it quite chilly in February. Yet we had a great stay! Arigato gozaimasu, Aru Hotel!

Great hotel in very convenient area of Kyoto, however the beds and 1 pillow provided are very hard, so not very comfortable sleep. A pillowtop on the beds and second softer pillow would be nice. The room and bathroom itself are nice though.

Great location to stay for Kyoto. Multiple options for food close by. Walkable to area attractions and minutes away from the Sanjo Station to take public transit to attractions further away. Staff is friendly and the rooms are comfortable.

Cute and charming

A cute, charming hotel. If you looking for fancy, this is not it. If you are looking for clean, quaint, comfortable, and well located at a fair price this is it! I was worried based on some of the the reviews but was so glad I booked. It's close to the train station and located near the night life. The staff was friendly. The only downside was the hotel bar, though we tried to use the coupons given, was never really staffed. Aside from that I'd recommend this hotel and I would stay again!

Comfortable and Darling!

This hotel is COZY! The entrance is darling and warm. Staff was friendly and helpful. The restroom area was very nice. Great shower! Beds were comfortable. I really liked the stained glass windows in the room. I will stay there again if I return to Kyoto!

Hotel Aru Kyoto was very beautiful, right in the heart of Kyoto. Our room was quite comfortable, though the pillows were a little too firm for my liking, which seems to be a regular occurance in Japan.

We got discounted drink tickets for the bar downstairs upon arrival, which was appreciated, and the bar was always quiet and peaceful when we were passing through. The front of house staff also helped us ship our large luggage overnight to Tokyo, which we would recommend taking advantage of if you are visiting with a large bag in tow!

My main gripe was that the nearby streets are lined with bars and most nights we were subjected to hearing loud karaoke warbling or drunken shouting from below if we had the windows open at all. The aircon system did not seem to go below 20c, so if the windows were closed it did get a bit stuffy at night.

Otherwise it was a lovely hotel, and we would consider staying there again. Thank you!

One of the female staff was impatient while greeting with the travelers. She rolled her eyes at us when we ask her to repeat what she had said. The wadded quilt is too hot and the material doesn’t breathe very well. I sweated a lot everyday I waked up. The room is too small for 2 people which is not able to open two 28 inch luggages.

The price was autumn color leaves season price so it was higher price but the season is delayed this year. I missed autumn color leaves. I felt the price was too expensive because of it. It should be excellent as regular price.

Love the early 20th century style and low key vibe of this hotel! Everything we wanted to see was close by. Popular shopping, eating and drinking areas were within a 5-10 minute walk, but the noise did not follow us back to the hotel. Proximity to the canal was a wonderful amenity.
