河原町5条のバス停がホテルの目の前、セブンイレブンもホテル1階直結、スーパーも信号を渡ればあったので便利でした。
河原町4条と比べると周囲の店は圧倒的に少ないですが、子供と一緒だったので、丁度良かったです。

過剰すぎず、最低限のサービスが整っており、清潔で、非常に満足しました。初めてだったのでフロントの方にチェックインの方法を教えていただいたのですがわかりやすくスムーズで、歯ブラシ・パジャマ・スリッパも必要な分だけ借りることができました。個人的には歯ブラシのコップが紙コップだったのが「これで十分!」と思いました。朝軽食をセルフで食べることができたのもよかったです。
下にセブンイレブンがあるので、なにか不足分はすぐ買いにいくことができます。

部屋が可愛かったし新しいのか綺麗だった。
湯船はないがシャワールームは広くて快適だった。
アニメティなどは部屋にないのでフロント横から持ってくるか、借りに行く必要がある。
コンビニが一階にあるので便利。

Pros: Liked the theme of the hotel. Lounge space and clown machines were cool. Walkable distances from delicious restaurants and the Nishiki Market. Luggage space under the bed is handy since the room is very small. Washing clothes was 100¥ cheaper than other hotels I've been to.

Cons: Found the dark walls to be dreary after a while. Carpet had stains. Bathroom reminded me of a porta potty. If you don't sleep on the floor at home I wouldn't recommend staying here since the beds are futons so mattress and pillows are flat. Room is not accommodating for big people.

Best hotel we stayed in during our Japan trip! Would definitely recommend to first time travellers! The breakfast that is included is quite simple but still good if you want to quickly eat something before leaving early since most places in Japan only open at 10am. The only thing I wouldn't recommend is staying on the section they call "room with a view". They will let you choose your room based on the availability they have and will give you otpions between "quiet and no view" or "room with a view". We choose the view one and it was very loud during the night. Not worth it in our opinion. But other than that it was a 10/10 stay!

A really cute hotel about 15 min walk to Teramachi street. Really cool self service luggage storage system, the whole hotel is designed to be as self service as possible but still have staff on hand if needed. Be warned this hotel is located on a busy junction so not for light sleepers unless you're exhausted. There was a lot of road noise through the night plus road works, I don't usually have issue with noise but I struggled to sleep and had to put earplugs in.

Close to shopping and train. Rooms very dark with all the black walls including the bathroom. Poor lighting. Triple room was uncomfortably tiny with our 3 large luggage and carryons. Trash wasn’t picked up from room the entire 3 days. One of those days, we were offered additional towels.

The property and hotel complex are fine, but the only redeeming feature is the location. However, the price-performance ratio is poor. The beds and pillows are very uncomfortable, and the room is tiny. In my case, we were a group of three; you literally can't move, and there's no room for your luggage.

This hotel was hands down amazing. The room was so clean, so nice, extremely aesthetic. There was a dinning area with a balcony overlooking Kyoto. Overall it was just a beautiful hotel. Everything about it was amazing. If I come back to Japan we will be staying at this hotel again, for longer since it was a great experience. There was the best 7/11 in all of Japan located right at the bottom of the hotel too. Everything was so convenient and great. 10/10.

Basic hotel. Good value for money.

The hotel is well located. You can reach most tourist attractions walking. The bus stop for the bus from the station is in front of the hotel. The rooms are very small, but you have all you need. Modern style. Free very simple breakfast (coffee, tea and croissants only). Their philosophy is to be sustainable (rooms are done only every three days), but huge amounts of plastic stuff at breakfast. Possibility to wash your clothes. Very good value for money.

El espacio es reducido como todo en Japón, pero muy bien distribuido con una mesa muy útil. La cama es muy cómoda y lo suficientemente grande para dos personas. Muchos lugares turísticos y relevantes están cerca caminando o en metro y la estacion igual está a un par de cuadras. Tiene una tienda de conveniencia literalmente al lado. ¡Una muy buena opción para hospedarse!

It was nice and chill. They had a washer and dryer and space to work on downstairs. I liked the room and the art throughout the whole building. Good for families as well with a 7-11 right below. Was not far from train or meeting up with my tour group. Very convenient.

The lounge was very nice. The staff was friendly. The rooms were extremely small with small storage and no shelves or desk or anything at all. Just a small cubby at the end of the bed. And the bathroom? Worse. One small shelf above the sink and a smaller one under the sink. My husband and I had nowhere to put anything. It may be good for one person per room, but that’s it. On top of this, the washer and dryers did not work well. My clothes came out still wet after extending the drying twice. And they smelled bad afterwards. On top of that, they’re small, and there was constantly someone waiting to do laundry.

這是一間距離清水五条站很近的新飯店，房內空間大，床下可以放置兩個登機箱，電視下方可以敞開一個29吋行李箱仍有空間走動，飯店提供24小時入住服務，報到使用櫃檯旁邊的自助機台（可以選擇不同語言）很方便，員工英文溝通能力足以協助所有旅客。
一樓是7-11便利商店，便利商店旁邊隔一條馬路是一間日式餐廳（有自助點餐機），飯店（十字路口）斜對角是一間小型超市，可以購買生活所需以及特價水果。
房價以京都地區而言算是十分便宜，距離清水寺、錦市場等景點都不算遠，若再次到訪京都願意再次入住。

The room was a major disappointment. The entire decor followed a black theme, which made the space feel even darker and more closed in. There was very little lighting, and the window was completely blocked by heavy curtains, preventing any natural light from coming in. Even with every light turned on, the room remained dim and uninviting—definitely not a relaxing atmosphere.

To make matters worse, the room was not clean. Dust was visible on the furniture, corners, and even on some of the bedding. It clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned before our arrival. Between the gloomy lighting and the lack of cleanliness, the stay felt more uncomfortable than restful.

My only grip with this hotel was the room seemed to be too dark. I wish there was maybe one more light. The storage under the bed was fantastic and staff were amazing. This is a tourist heavy hotel and found some of the other guests to be very rude, Hotel staff helped right away with the issues that came up. The hotel is located right above a 7/11.

Room was large. No coat hooks which is odd. Dark room, needs more lights especially near the only full length mirror on the toilet door. only bathroom mirror is useable. The TV is also tiny and lacks ability to cast which after a long day walking everywhere you might want to come back and just relax before snoozing. The road noise was horrendous, I'd equate it to having your windows wide open and staying in the middle of a nascar track. Motor bikes revving all night long and could even hear the pedestrian crossings beeping. The staff were friendly and this hotel is like 15mins walk from Kyoto station a d has a 7-11 underneath as well as several nice restaurant 5mins walk. If you are a light sleeper I'd avoid otherwise go for it.

Allt var fantastiskt!

Läget var bra och lugnt. Hotellet var riktigt trevligt, det kändes modernt och hade en stor lounge samt bagageförvaring och möjlighet att tvätta. Personalen var alltid glad och hjälpsam. Rummet var mysigt, med en stor säng, kylskåp och härlig utsikt. Skulle gärna bo där igen!

The graphic manga images on the website suckered me in. This place is one step above a hostel. Heavily stained rug in our room, pillows that seemed to be filled with hay, the duvet cover not able to close around a stained comforter, the common areas are in need of repair and the drink dispensers are filthy.
The best part about the hotel is the location. Walking distance to the river and goon district.

Front desk staff are cold not that willing to help. Beds are not comfortable, you have no access from the sides of beds. Room is very small and dim. Room is not quiet and you can hear traffic throughout night.

Not your traditional hotel which excited us, but overall found our stay uncomfortable - the futon style bed did not have any fitted sheets meaning it moved around at night, if you have any mobility difficulties the bed is difficult to enter/exit. For the cost it was okay.

I stayed at Tavinos Hotel during my solo trip to Kyoto and overall had a great experience. The location is spectacular — well-positioned between key tourist attractions and within walking distance to several must-see spots. There’s also a bus stop literally right outside the hotel that connects you to the main bus lines, which made getting around incredibly easy. The added bonus of a 7/11 right next door was super convenient for snacks and essentials.

One of the standout features was the ability to choose your own room — including floor level and whether you preferred a quieter space or one with a view. This is something I’ve never been offered before and really appreciated.

The staff were exceptional — consistently kind, patient, and helpful. Some spoke great English, others still put in genuine effort to make sure I was understood and supported. I also loved the quirky and unique style of the hotel; it gives off a social, vibrant vibe, especially on the third floor which feels like a hub for fellow travellers. For those interested in meeting others or being close to the energy of the city, it’s a great fit.

That said, I did notice some cleanliness issues during my stay. There were several questionable stains on the carpet in both the hallway and my room (I was on the 5th floor), which made me feel a bit uneasy. Additionally, my bedding had a slightly musty smell to it, as if it hadn’t been freshly washed unfortunately. Despite those cons, I would still recommend.

We could hear every car in the street, everyone who walked by our room and the elevator pinning for our and the floors above and below. While the room was tidy, it was also dusty. The was no tea or coffee in the room and you had to go to the public hangout area if you wanted one.

This hotel was ok. The window glass in my room was dusty and also the overflow in the bathroom sink was black of dirt. Just thinking for what they charge per night, they should do a more thorough cleaning. Also the rooms are quite hot so you may need to run the air conditioning during the day if you pop by from your daily activities.

There was visible mold in the AC vent, had to wipe it up. Wouldnt have noticed if it wasnt at eye level. The room was well decorated but after a few nights it was rough sleeping the matress is not very thick. I did really like their tea set up and the convenience of the 711 on bottom level

You totallu get what you pay for but it was enough for what we needed. A place to sleep on. Bed was not comfortable and the dryer wasn’t drying and we had to go find a laundrymat. Line for the laundry was long since they only had 3.

The place was very clean and convenient. 7/11 on the 1st floor before you enter the hotel. Complimentary coffee and pastries in the lobby at 6:30am to 10:30am. They also have onsite laundry and dryers. But they are rather small if you are travel with more than 2.

Location wise is really good, staff was very helpful. And there is konbini next to the gotel. But the thing I don’t like is that the room is doesn’t have any sound proof. The loud exhaust from motorcycle on the street is really disturbing especially during the night. And the window is need to cleaned.

The hotel has a great location. The employees was kind and they have complementary drinks all day.
But the cleanliness of the facilities is a very different matter. Everything from the windows to the glass bathroom doors was dirty. The sheets and blankets were dirty (I think they only made the bed, not changed or cleaned it), and the room was dusty. There were stains on the carpets. The bathroom floor was also dirty. Being eco-friendly is no excuse for not cleaning the rooms properly.

Uber modern and alienating

This hotel is cold and impersonal. The staff is very indifferent. The beds are uncomfortable and the pillows are terrible. It is not particularly clean, and the breakfast is meager and uninspired. I would not recommend this hotel. There are probably much better options in Kyoto.
