Nicely renovated machiya in a great location. Very nice to have a bathroom upstairs. Street is very quiet, but with easy access to things. Futon is thin so try to sleep in beds.

Thank you for your kind words about our machiya! We're glad you enjoyed the renovation and found the location convenient. It's great to hear that the upstairs bathroom was a plus. We appreciate your feedback about the futons. We'll certainly take this into consideration for future improvements. We hope to welcome you back again soon!

It’s pretty and very traditional kyoto property. Walking distance to kawaramachi station (10 mins). It’s a nice experience to stay in the house. Just I feel the tatami floor and cushions are not clean enough and the bed mattress was a bit hard. Overall it’s a good stay.
