とっても良いお宿でした
ホテルと旅館のいいとこどり
大浴場もあり、癒されました。
フロントの接客も丁寧でとても感じが良かった。
ただ、朝食レストランの店長らしき人がお客様がいるすぐそばで従業員を叱責しており、執拗に叱責する声が気になり朝から気分が悪くなりました。
それ以外はとても良いお宿でした。
また機会があればリピートしたいです。

東本願寺の参門の目の前にあります。とにかく朝ご飯が美味しいです✨卵はオーダーをうけてから好みに合わせて料理してくれます。ポテトポタージュは滞在中3回食べました。とってもシンプルで優しい滋味深かった。また泊まりたい。

本願寺ビューの部屋に宿泊しました。
びっくりするほど、東本願寺の真ん前で感激しました。
京都駅や京都タワーにも近く、夜散歩できました。
朝食も種類が豊富で美味しかったです。
お部屋も良かったですが、ほこりが少し気になりました。
それ以外は大満足です！！

予約した部屋と違う部屋だったので従業員の方に伝えたところ、すぐに部屋を変更していただき対応も丁寧で良かったです。しかししばらく使われていなかった部屋だったのか埃が目立ちました。埃さえなかったら良かったのにと思いました。

フロントの方がモタモタしてた。
お客様が　は全くいなかったのに、
出だしからなんか不愉快でした。
お部屋全体も匂いが臭かった。
清掃がいきとどいてなく、
汚い感じがしたので、
拭き掃除してトイレとか使った。
2017年にたったって聞いてとから、
新しいホテルと認識して行ったけど、
そんな感じはしなかった。
息抜きに泊まりに行ったのに
こんなんなら
いかなければ
良かった。

清潔でスタッフの対応もよかった．駅からも近く，料金も安くとてもよかった．別途頼んだアロママッサージはアロマを塗っているだけで，よくなかったが，ホテルに関してはとてもよかった．

落ち着いて過ごせました

東本願寺の真前、ただし、部屋の窓からは迫りくる隣の建物の壁しか見えませんでしたが。露天風呂気持ち良かったです。綺麗に清掃されていました。朝ご飯も美味しく、夕食もと思ったのですが、日曜日だからでしょうか閉まっていて残念でした。
お部屋も広くて居心地良かったです。紅葉の京都、どこに行っても混雑でしたが、ホテルは落ち着けました。

京都駅から近くて移動に便利。露天風呂は割と広くてゆっくり浸かれたし、お部屋も清潔でゆっくり過ごせました。子供用の作務衣もありました。
朝ごはんはとっても美味しかったです。また利用したいです。

部屋の内装は綺麗でしたが、何となく独特の異臭があり気になりました。

ホテルの外観も部屋の雰囲気もいいし綺麗だし何よりチェックイン時間が遅くても大丈夫なところが良い！和モダンな感じが素敵。スタッフさんも親切だし上品な感じでとても良かった！また利用したいと思います！

大浴場は使わず部屋でシャワーでした。バスタブはありませんでしたが独立したシャワーブースだったので良かったです。新しく静かで快適に過ごせましたが部屋の窓からの景色は残念でした。

Manga books at entry lobby!! Check in staff were courteous, welcoming and polite at entry and anytime they saw us! Room had a spectacular view of temple and many restaurants and shopping at close proximity. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at, 4th floor is were I stayed with the room with a view. 404

Our room had a great view of the temple in front of the hotel. We had a shared family room for 4, which worked for us (2 twins, 2 futons). The onsen was really good - there're a large and small one which alternate for men and women daily. The staff we great. We used the free hotel bus to start our sight-seeing which was super fun. And, the breakfast was GREAT! Highly recommended, if you want an authentic,Japanese experience without breaking the bank.

Loved the public bath. It was clean and it was a wonderful way to end each day. The staff is friendly and kind. Minutes from the train station so it was quick to get to all of the sightseeing we wanted to do. It is right across from an amazing temple so we could enjoy it whenever we chose to. I loved the location. Beautiful room and great private bath.

We felt very comfortable and welcomed by the warm and friendly staff. Our bed was comfortable, everything was very clean, the soaking tub was wonderful and breakfasts delicious, generous and beautiful. We would return for sure. Also it's in an unbeatable location, quiet, but central.

Spacious room. I love the fact that the hotel has a traditional old Japanese house. So feel like I am transported to the olden days. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Always have a smile and greet you. Made us feel so welcome.
The room is absolutely lovely. Bed was very comfy. Had plenty of room for our two big luggages.
The bathroom was lovely. Shower was really nice.

10/10. We love this hotel. The property is closed to everything. Buses trains restaurants shops. Very well located. Staff was super nice we spent 3 nights and never had any issues. Room was super nice and we had a great view to the temple across the street.

This hotel has made our stay in Japan all the more enjoyable. For starters, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast consisted of a variety of both Japanese and foreign cuisine, satisfying my entire family. After a long day, relaxing in the onsen (public bath) is also a highlight of this hotel. As we return to our room, we also have the added bonus of facing directly at the Higashi Honganji (东本愿寺).The room is a bit small and cramped for our family of four, but we got the amazing view.

Wonderful hotel, well located. We had the room facing the beautiful temple gate. What a joy to wake up to such beauty. The breakfast buffet is great and varied. The public baths are really relaxing. Kyoto is such a great city!

Lovely small hotel with amazing breakfast!
Room was well sized, staff was kind, area was very quite and nice neighbourhood. The small Onsen was clean and relaxing to use. The temple on the other side of the street is impressive.
The hotel is not directly in the city centre but that was no issue for us as we just went for a small walk. Main station close was definitely a plus. Overall I recommend this hotel.

We loved this cute hotel! Right across the street from Higashi Hongan-ji Temple and less than a 10 minute walk from Kyoto Station! We used the public onsen but didn’t get a chance to get on the little bus! Definitely would recommend staying here!

I love the Hotel Kuu. It's convenient to Kyoto Station. The staff is exceptionally friendly. The breakfast is plentiful and there is a public bath on the premises.

Best in Kyoto

Everything here exceeds expectation. I would give more than 5 points if I could. Breakfast is the best during my stay in Japan. Shuttle bus to tourist areas, and hot springs are plus. Room environment is comfortable with special materials

The location is absolutely convenient for all purposes! Staff of the Hotel are very friendly and knowledgeable, they provide information for local restaurants available for Japanese breakfast. This Hotel has natural spring hot but pools 24 hours for your enjoy. Just walk distance to the railway station and bus stop right in front door, connecting shopping area and many places.

We stayed at Hotel Kuu Kyoto for five nights with 2 adults and 3 children. The staff were polite and welcoming and could not have been more helpful with and queries we had. Our room was well appointed, roomy and overlooked the temple across the street. There were ample Lawsonand 7/11 convenience stores nearby for snacks and refreshments. The hotel itself is about a 7 minute walk from Kyoto station and easy walking distance to nearby shops and restaurants. We would happily recommend this hotel and if we had the opportunity would definitely return. Thankyou for a relaxing and plesant stay.

Grossartiges Hotel mit Onsen, welchen wir zweimal besuchten. Super Lage für Ausflüge in Kyoto und mit der Bahn zu Zielen in der Umgebung. Das Zimmer war sehr gut, nicht zu klein und leise (hatten keinen Tempelblick). Freundliches Personal. Tolle Auswahl (mehr als 60 verschiedene Sachen) beim Frühstück, wenn auch wenig „westlich“. Uns hat es nicht gestört, wir haben immer etwas gefunden. Wir waren dort eine Woche und würden es jederzeit wieder nehmen.

We stayed for four nights. Personnel was super nice, kind, and ready to help! Room for two had everything we needed and more! Very clean everywhere and very comfortable beds. Cozy in Kyoto

This was a gem of a hotel, close to Kyoto station & metro lines. The staff was friendly & helpful. The room was quiet, comfortable & clean. There was a public bath but unfortunately we were too busy to try. We would stay again!

I have been coming to Japan on and off for twenty years and Hotel Kuu in Kyoto has by far been one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. Its amenities are top notch and really add to the experience of staying in Japan - especially if this is your first trip. A complementary bus to take you to all the key Kyoto spots and a onsen on site to let you close out the day in comfort. And the view from the front door is one of a kind.

This hotel is charming, has all the Japanese vibes and aesthetic you’re looking for, fantastic amenities and is a right next to Kyoto station. But the icing on the cake is the staff - one of the friendliest hotel staffs I have ever met.

I will be staying at this hotel again when I come back to Kyoto.

Peacefull stay

Not far from kyoto station. Easy to go around and visit. Many restaurant and cafe near the station .
The gotel is really nice . We enjoyr the onsen and the terasse for sunrise.

The staff on the front desk were very friendly and helpful. The entrance was lovely. Good location near to the train station. Would’ve given 5 stars but we had asked for a quiet room and there was a constant, loud, droning noise day and night outside our room. Plus the room was very small, even compared to other hotels we had stayed in in Japan.

Hotel was walkable from Kyoto Station and train lines. Hotel was clean and safe. The saunas are great way to end each day. Try to book the on site bicycles - an excellent way to see the city.

Amazing!! We loved our stay at Hotel Kuu Kyoto! The staff was so welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Our room was wonderful and so spacious. The location was great too - directly across from a gorgeous temple (that was also free to visit) and a short walk from Kyoto station. We were also able to take advantage of the free sightseeing bus the hotel offers. Our time in Kyoto was our favorite part of our trip to Japan, and staying at a great hotel made it all the better.

Highly recommended!

Very nice atmosphere, clean rooms and a very short walk from Kyoto station. Quiet location but close to Gojo metro station. Also the hotel has public onsen which was superb and free for hotel guests. Reception staff was helpful and always greeted on entry and exit. Highly recommended!

This was a fantastic hotel for the price. The rooms were great. Clean. Laundry room with supplies for extended stays. Breakfast restaurant recommend as it was fully loaded for everything you may want. Staff was great. And the location was perfect for easy walkable access from train station. And to then uber / taxi to the tourist locations was super convenient. Temple across the street and shrine park behind hotel.

The hotel is well located near Kyoto Station and right in front of a beautiful shrine.
The rooms are spacious and well equipped.
Amenities can be taken from the Lobby.
They do not offer cleaning service every day and you need to bring your towels to the reception to get new ones.
They have amazing public bath (onsen) facilities!
But honestly the best is the Staff! They are very kind and caring, always going above and beyond to help you even with the language barrier.
They helped us get a doctor's appointment at a nearby clinic that has English speaking staff and have been following on how are we feeling after seeing the doctor.
I really recommend this hotel specially for the people ❤️👌🫰

Great spot and friendly staff

We loved this place. The front desk was incredibly friendly and helpful, they also have multiple staff members who know different languages. The public bath was great and the location was perfect.
