東山観光には最高の立地

　東山安井バス停から徒歩２分に位置し、安井金毘羅宮や建仁寺は直ぐ。八坂神社、花見小路、清水寺といった東山を代表する観光地は全て徒歩圏内と最高の立地である。

　建物は４階建てで部屋数は２０室程度とこじんまりしている。外国人観光客に人気のようでフロントには外国人スタッフがいて、横の談話室には街歩き用の着物や英語のパンフレットが並んでいた。部屋はとても清潔で障子風のガラス窓やベッド上に広げられた和傘など、随所に和の演出がされていた。アメニティーグッズやコーヒーパック等はフロント横から自由に持って行き、部屋には電気ポットがあった。

　料金は食事なして１万円チョイとやや高い気もするが、秋の観光シーズンの土曜日で立地を考慮すると妥当な線か。

一人で泊まりには適度に良い。

祇園という場所で、ホテルを探しました。バス停も近いし八坂神社、安井神社、建仁寺他清水寺などに最適です。コンビニも近くにあります。
ベッドもダブルだったのでゆっくり眠れました。
サービスでは、ホテルに着いたとき暑かったのでウエルカムドリンクなど冷たい飲み物か、アイスとかがあると尚良かったと思います。受付の方には祇園祭りの時でしたので色々アドバイスをいただきありがとうございました☺️

連休に家族と一泊しました。部屋も清潔でキレイでした。忘れ物をしましたが、ご丁寧に連絡をくださり、助かりました。
個々の好き嫌いもありますが、個人的には部屋の電球がもう少し明るいのが好きです。

全体的に満足、CPは普通

外国人観光客が多いホテルのようで、内装なども「外国人が想定する日本調」。清潔感があり、スタッフの対応も好感が持てる。観光のためのロケーションは最高だが、周囲はラブホテル風のホテルが多い。朝食はシンプルな和食か洋食のチョイス。全体的に満足ではあるが、京都プライスと言ってしまえばそれまでとは言え、CPが高いとは言えないと思う。例えば、支払った金額であれば、ダブルベッド一台ではなく、シングル二台は欲しいところ。

祇園内のアクセスのいいホテル

祇園の金毘羅神社の目の前にあります。
まわりがちょっとしたラブホ街なので不安になりましたが、ちゃんとしたホテルでした。

高台寺、二年坂、三年坂、清水寺方面にも歩いていけますし、
花見小路を通って祇園四条から河原町の方に歩くこともできます。

部屋はこじんまりしていますが、京都風に飾り付けられていて雰囲気は味わえます。
アメニティ類も必要十分でした。

壁の裏にタバコの箱が残っていて清掃の点でちょっと残念。朝ごはんもパンとスクランブルエッグ程度でかなりシンプルでした。

This is the perfect location to the Gion District but also easily accessible to other places around Kyoto. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel and its close to Kyoto station. The staff are very kind, friendly and helpful. Its a quiet area as well, so we slept well.

It was a great spot. Very quiet. Easy walking access to lots temples. 15 minute walk to the market. Close to a bus stop and 7/11. Very comfortable bed. Very small bathroom but manageable. We had the breakfast once. It could be improved by the addition of fresh fruit. There’s a breakfast cafe around the corner that opens at 9.

Decent and comfortable but breakfast is really bad

Good location, nice showers, relatively comfortable room with more storage than other rooms. Could not open window properly, breakfast is terrible, and we had quite a bit of misunderstanding with the staff which meant our room wasn’t cleaned our whole four night stay. Customer service not particularly great. Coffee in the machine in the room was good. Bathroom was very noisy.

Wonderful location close to everything in Gion and about a 3 minute walk to buses to get around the rest of Kyoto. Lovely staff, room had everything you could need for a three night stay. Having complimentary pastries, juice and ice coffee to start the day was a fantastic bonus. Would definitely stay again!

Great stay. My room was large - for Japan, the bed was extremely comfortable and there was consistent hot water in the shower. The staff were very nice and accommodating. The complimentary breakfast was subpar but still good for a quick snack to start your day. The location was great, just minutes from busy areas, but in a very quiet location - across the street from a shrine/temple!

Had a great time here and would return!

Great value hotel on a quiet street

This is a small hotel on a quiet street in a historic part of Kyoto. The rooms are nice and clean and the beds are western style. The staff are friendly and helpful, even booking us reservations at a restaurant. The breakfast is not fancy- mainly packaged pastries and juice. However, the hotel is a great value, a great location, and the staff go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. If I come to Kyoto again, I will stay here.

This is the best hotel in Kyoto, excellent location, very walkable to gion area and near subway station. This is the second time we stay here and will always come back.
The staff is great too and the hotel is pretty and cozy

This little hotel is excellent. It has everything...
- perfect location, so you can walk to the main streets easily and have a lot of food options around;
- nice staff (although they don't speak much English, like anywhere in Japan, so you should use Google translate)
- room interior is very nice, they even put rice windows from the inside, which helps with isolation plus it looks great. The only thing to improve here is that they could put a big mirror on one of the walls (so you can see your whole reflection, and it would visually enlarge the room)
- amenities are great in general! they have coffee and pillow menu to choose from, at display on the reception
- they have clever safe deposit box system at the reception, where you put your own codes
- breakfast is small but very nice and they change it every morning. It is just pastries and coffee/tea, like you would get in a mini-market

Im so glad to have stayed here, it was in the best location for all that i had planned for my trip in Kyoto. It was easy to navigate to all the places and restaurants etc that I needed to access and right in the heart of Gion. The roo. Was adorable and cozy yet plenty of room. The beds were super comfortable, room was generous size, and the area is very quiet. The coffee in the room is excellent. The hotel staff is never especially happy to see you. Perhaps this has to do with the incredible volume of tourists Kyoto has been overwhelmed by in recent years.

I had an amazing experience staying here. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They even put your luggage in your room for you if you leave your luggage with them early! They also offer to call restaurants for reservations since that's a big problem for travellers in Japan. The hotel itself is a bit far from Kyoto station, but close to another station (which have less lines). It's also EXTREMELY close to many temples, you can probable spend a week just checking out the Gion area.

The staff was super friendly and they had some very good recommendations for food around the area. The hotel is located 10 min walk from many bars and restaurants and from tourist attractions.

The hotel was clean and amenities were good in general. While there were no safes in the room they did have some in the lobby easy to access and right in front of the front desk.

Only bad thing was the breakfast offered. The bread was stale and it looked as if it had been there for a week, other than the bread there was nothing and juice was offered in juice boxes.

First, the location is excellent. In the Gion district, an easy walk from beautiful historic temples shrines and streets. Numerous good nearby restaurants. The room was tiny, but one expects that in Japan. Staff was helpful and friendly enough. The only downside was the free "breakfast". Hardly worthy of the name. Several types of bread rolls, a choice of juicebox, and horrible instant coffee (much better coffee in the room). Margarine and jam to go on the rolls, but you are expected to spread it with a coffee stirring stick (!). Almost worthless as a breakfast. Fortunately we found a nearby grocery store (Fresco) from which we could stock our tiny in-room fridge with yogurt and fresh fruits as well as some dinner meals. So recommended overall with that qualification.

Kyoto Inn Gion the Second was so conveniently located in, well, Gion! I was so glad we decided to stay in this neighborhood, as it was close to many of the tourist spots I wanted to visit, within walking distance to convenience stores, restaurants/shops, and even a laundromat.

The staff was extremely helpful, providing directions and calling us cabs with pleasure.

The rooms I booked were small, though, so if you have 3 visitors, you may want to look for larger rooms or split the party. Aside from that, I noticed the rooms were also exceedlngly clean. 10/10!

This is a fabulous hotel in a perfect location in Kyoto. Getting to the hotel from Kyoto Station by bus is very simply and quick and the bus stops only minutes from the hotel.
The area arround the hotel is simply stunning to walk about and feels like the set of a Movie. I just loved the area of this hotel and it was only a short walk into the main area of Kyoto.
The hotel is lovely, the staff were very helpful and the rooms are of a very good size for Japan. Very nice local touches to the room and everything you need for your stay.
The room has a fridge and a pod coffee maker where various kinds are available free in the reception along with other things you may need like cloths and toothbrushes.

I couldn’t fault the hotel in any way it’s a lovely place to stay in a lovely area of Kyoto Gion.

We had a great experience with this hotel, it's in the heart of Gion but on a quiet street, convenient walking distrance to restaurants, shines and conveniet stores. Only less than 5 minutes walk from the Gion center. The room was super clean, we had the room service every other day. All staff I met spoke good English and very friendly. I didn't get the name from the front desk guy, he was nice and let me check in early since the room was available, and the other gal I spoke to in the morning I think her name was Yuni (not quite sure), overall we were really happy with this hotel, but if a family of 4, it would be a little too crowded. But I definetely recommend this hotel!

This is by far one of the best hotels we have stayed in, the staff is amazing, the location is excellent!!! we walked to several temples and shrines, pontocho is near and there are a lot of excellent dinning options, pokemon center store and nintendo are just about 20 min walk, the bed was comfy and the room was not tiny!

Hotel familial idéalement situé, au coeur de Gion, dans une rue calme, aucun bruit extérieur. La chambre était particulièrement spacieuse pour le Japon. A l'accueil, le personnel est très serviable. Propreté irréprochable. Bref, excellente adresse. Café à moins de 10 min à pied pour prendre le petit déjeuner.

My stay here was truly amazing, it's really close to the Gion train station and there is so many walkable places for tourists to enjoy. They also provide guests maps that show where great places to eat, tourists attractions and more.

They best part was that they overcharged me 300 Yen for the accommodation tax (I didn't even realize) and fixed it for me without me even asking, truly amazing as I would have never known otherwise.

If you are looking for a great place to stay while you're in Kyoto, look no further than this place, 10/10!

Kyoto Inn Gion is a beautiful boutique hotel set in Gion, a 5 min walk to Maruyama Park, 20 min walk to Kiyomizu-dera and just seconds to everything else Gion. You will never be disappointed staying here!
