とてもゆっくり､時間が流れていく静かな環境が素晴らしい。レトロな雰囲気と外のロケーションがマッチングしている。
部屋の大きな窓から､新緑､青紅葉素晴らしい
また窓を開けると､木漏れ日､優しい風が静かに部屋に入ってくるとても気持ちの良い気持ちで過ごすことができました。
朝食も美味しい､お風呂の泉質も軟水で縦巻き持ち良い､従業員の方々､お宿の温かさが伝わって来ます。，大変お世話になりました

食事は和モダンで大人のテイストかつ適量で満足、お酒も種類は豊富ではないがグッドセレクションで価格もリーズナブル。金泉がオプションなのが惜しい。女性用のアメニティーを充実してくれると喜ばれるのでは。宿泊価格からすれば、内装（共有スペース部分）をもう少しきれいにしてほしいところであるが、コストアップとのトレードオフなので考えどころ。ただし、小規模旅館ならでは静かさは大人向き。

古き良き旅館

久しぶりの老舗和風旅館。とても趣があり、料理も美味しくお風呂も木のいい匂いが立ち込めて心穏やかになりゆっくりする事が出来ました。
一番、素晴らしいと感じたこ事は、客室係さん方や、受付の方のマンパワーが素晴らしかったことです。古き良き時代から受け継がれるおもてなしの心、本当に有難うございました。是非、また伺いたいです。

2重予約の対応について

ネットのシステムミスで、同じ名前、同じ日、同じ時間、同じ部屋が予約が2重に登録をされてみたいだが、最終キャンセルは認めてもらえず、キッチリ2部屋分の料金を請求されたことに正直困惑しました。
そういった状況になってる事が確認された段階で1本確認の電話をいれてもらうのは必須だと思います。

とても満足しました。旅館は少し古くお部屋の水回りは少し使いにくかったですが、温泉はよかったです。特にお料理はとてもおいしく、夕食も朝食も大満足でした。

・伝統のある旅館でしたが、料理が前評判通りとてもおいしいお料理でした。量も味付けもちょうどよく、夫婦で完食してしまいました。お風呂も広々としていて、気持ちよくは入れました。

部屋はベッドと和室が分かれている和洋室を利用。リノベーションされていて室内はとてもキレイで，眺望もよく大変満足。
もともとはおそらく大変古い建物であったであろうことが想像される廊下やレセプション。スタッフのサービスは気持ちよく，丁寧で好印象。
食事は部屋食で，内容は大人は質的にも量的にも概ね満足できるもの。不満点は料理の時に選択できる日本酒の種類がないこと。

サービス料が安かったせいもあり、サービスはあまり良くありませんでしたが、
立地や設備は充分でコストパフォーマンスに優れていました(^_^)

ほんわかしました。

普段ホテル業をしている側からしてもスタッフが丁寧で親切に感じました。
周辺の飲食を利用したいというホテルにとってはあまり利益にならないことでも嫌な顔せずにわかりやすい地図をくれました。
朝に大浴場も利用しましたが入ってくる虫に関する注意書きなどにも丁寧さが現れていてとても心暖まる宿でした。
防音に関する注意書きもありましたが特に音も気にならずゆっくりとした時間を過ごせました。
また利用します。

天気があまり良くなかったのですが、とてもゆっくり、楽しく過ごせました。
坂の上にあるので、車で送迎してくださったのも嬉しかったです。
1泊だともの足りなかったので、またぜひ泊まりたいです。

What a tucked away gem. It feels like a special retreat back in time. The private open air bath and traditional room were very cozy and enjoyable. The facilities are retro but well maintained. Staff were kind and the experience was unique and definitely worth it. We did the kaiseki meal and enjoyed the whole experience. I would recommend it for sure. We did not use the onsen so can’t comment. Thank for great experience.

This is a traditional Ryokan. It is close to the village and onsens. If you are looking for Japanese experience, it's great. I did not like the meals but I do not like traditional meals. If you don't want fish for breakfast, then eat in town. The pillow was typical hard pillow. Futon ok

I loved the decor of my bedroom - little Japanese touches which made it feel special. The location was also excellent and easy to find, being close to the Gion corner and 10 minutes walk or so to the train station, shrines and shops. The staff were also very helpful and the free breakfast (of rolls and pastries) was perfect.

Refreshing and Beautiful

Fantastic! Negiya is a traditional ryokan steeped in history and natural beauty. My stay was peaceful and relaxing. The guesthouse was excellent, and I appreciated the extra efforts of its staff. I loved the their baths and hot springs. I'll be back!

要注意房型有沒有浴室

有點驚訝，到了飯店才發現我訂的房型沒有浴室，所以必須要去大眾澡堂，但對於不泡湯的人反而很困擾，還好不是夏天，還可以忍住不洗，其他都蠻不錯的！

This is my 2nd time staying here. 1st time was booked under my cousin name.
I loved the friendly and welcome approached when reached the hotel entrance.
They really treated us as super VIP when check in with little sweet and tea.
I liked here because they have in room Onsen which i can do in privately in my room, any time and many times.
I did not order any dinner, but 7-eleven and family mart is walkable. Grab and go back hotel and eat.
You may ask them to send you out or pick you up but we did not use it as we want to walk around the town.
The breakfast set was super good too, which we enjoyed very much. The dining room is quiet and peaceful when having breakfast.
Definitely, will come back if i coming to Arima again.

Cozy hotel in Arima Onsen

This is an old hotel that has an incredible charm to it. They have curated the experience in a beautiful way and both onsens in the hotel were beautiful, clean, and relaxing. The service was excellent, as were the meals.

We loved our corner room, it was incredibly spacious and the view is spectacular.

Amazing place, great location and excellent staff

When we arrived the staff greeted us and gave us a warm welcome. The check in was fast and then we were lead to our room. The staff explained all the onsens available as well as giving us a tour. We enjoyed the Kaiseki dinner (reservation ahead was req) and the private onsen. I will definitely be back and recommend this place to our friends and family

Beyond my expectations. Ryokans are always going to be older but they kept this place in wonderful shape and it’s super clean. I was blown away by the library lounge — definitely the highlight of the ryokan. Kaiseki dinner was amazing and the staff were superb.

A traditional onsen hotel in Arima. Staff were great and helpful who helped us with the heavy luggage up and down the hotel’s pebble staircase amid heavy rain. Great compliments to the amazing staff!

But the biggest issue was, we found hair in the bed when first turned down the bedding. This was shockingly scary and caused my sleep to be disturbed. First time seeing this in a Japanese hotel, in my over 30 visits to the country.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Ms Izumi provided detailed instructions during the check-in procedure. The onsen facilities were excellent - exactly what we needed to relax and enjoy the amazing surroundings. The kaiseki dinner on the 1st night and the Kobe beef on the 2nd night were excellent. We would definitely return to stay.

The dinner experience was best, the Japanese bath is nothing better than at any hotel in Kyoto. Staff is very polite. Rooms and property look much nicer in pictures. Not the experience I had hoped for. Better pay more money and go where it's a better experience rather than regret it later.

Staying at Negiya Ryofukaku was really pleasant and relaxing. Arima Onsen is a really old town in general so the building's age really shows. However, this didn't affect our stay at all. Here are our main highlights of our stay:
- we booked an overnight trip (after the night we wished we did 2 nights) in the traditional japanese room. The roombecame our favorite. It's incredibly clean, has a great view of Arima Onsen and it was perfect for the two of us.
- when we booked, i didnt realize dinner wasnt included, so upon check-in we requested if we could also include dinner and luckily enough, they still had meals available (i think they only had a certain amount of food because staying at ryokans, mostly the food will be based on whats available that season) so be sure to inquire if you would like to eat in the ryokan for dinner. We were able to choose what we wanted and there was an abundance of food served. We both were incredibly full.
- the hotsprings were FANTASTIC. I didnt want to go out at all haha!
- breakfast IS included in our booking and the food that was served was also exceptional!
- they also have a small gift shop for those that want to bring home mementos.
- there was a library that had coffee, also has a pretty good view.
- the staff were cordial, helpful and they really had great service.

The first day of our honeymoon trip was perfect. I would definitely return and book with them, and I highly recommend staying here.

3월 초 방문한 후기입니다.

먼저 저는 료칸 경험은 별로 없음을 밝힙니다...

하지만 료칸에 기대되는 바는 대개 충족되었던 것 같습니다.

홈페이지에서 읽지 못한(혹은 제 부주의로 읽지 못한) 점이 있는데,

첫번째는 료칸 내에 이용 가능한 온천이 2군데 있어서 시간별로 남녀가 교대로 이용한다는 점이 있고,

두번째는 가이세키 요리는 방 안에서 먹는 것이 아닌 일식 레스토랑 같이 꾸며진 별도의 방에서 먹는다는 점이 있었습니다.

방 안에 온천 욕조가 딸린 방을 예약했고,(신혼여행이었거든요. 힘 좀 썼습니다.) 생각한대로 편리했습니다. 추운 날이라 외부에서의 샤워와 목욕이 불편할 줄 알았는데, 따뜻한 물은 금방 나와서 그다지 불편하지 않았습니다.

목욕물도 온천물 답게 목욕 후 피부가 좋아지는듯한 느낌이 좋습니다.

사실 일본 대개의 숙박시설이 그런 것 같습니다만, 접객도 체감상 매우 친절했습니다. 한국어 가능한 직원도 있지만 상주는 아닌듯 합니다. 하지만 대부분의 직원이 간단한 영어가 가능합니다.

두 가지 정도 당부드릴 말씀이 있다면,

첫번째는 가이세키 요리는 이틀 연속으로 드시지 않았으면 합니다. 물론 메뉴는 바뀝니다만, 전채요리-사시미-냄비요리... 등의 틀은 동일합니다. 솔직히 이틀 연속으로 먹으니 메뉴가 다름에도 불구하고 물리는 것이 있었습니다. 하루 정도는 온천마을의 레스토랑을 이용하시는 걸 추천합니다. 아니면 열차로 40분 정도 걸리는 산노미야 역에서 고베규를 드시던가요.

두 번째는 이 료칸은 열차역에서 좀 떨어져 있는 편입니다만, 도착하고 나서야 픽업차량을 신청할 수 있다는 걸 알게 되었습니다. 홈페이지 내의 기능을 이용해 꼭 문의하십시오.

다시 말씀드리지만 료칸 경험이 전무한 부족한 후기입니다. '이건 당연한건데 왜 적었지?' 싶으신 것도 있으시겠지만

Beware if your bath is onsen or tap water

Traditional and clean onsen hotel. Parking is available and the outdoor public onsen was nice. A bit disappointed to know the indoor bath in our room is only tap water not onsen.

Poor customer service / Scam

contacting the JTB to file an official complaint, try to get my money back. I have stayed in Ryokans across Japan - this should not be categorized as such. booking process: did not received a confirmation for my booking via email, and no one reached out to confirm my reservation. had to contact hotel directly through a chat portal - despite the advertisement the staff spoke English, no one did. Cancellation process is purposely misleading: it says you can cancel by X day, but check the fine print: you can cancel by 12:01 AM on X day. The first of many Scammy practices. On arrival no one spoke English. One staff member speaks but if they aren’t in the office (which was only one time) you are on your own. I was told meals were “sold out” - which is to say again, there should have been a confirmation or contact ahead of time to reserve the meals? I was able to get into breakfast, I was greeted by a waitress slamming plates rudely. food portion not a “meal” Map with food led to no open places. Request for taxi response “we’ll see” leaving me with feeling of dred I’d miss flight next day. Room cleaning costs extra, one of many extra costs not advertised. No one could bring my correct shoes. At checkout bill was in Japanese with extra charges, again,not advertised. At almost 400USD a night + scam fees this was a joke. Unlike traditional Ryokans I left anxious, frustrated and feeling taken advantage of. Will be contacting Tourism Board/Hotels.com for complaint and full refund.

Good in location near the train station. But steep scope to reach front door.
Small hotel style and tiny outdoor onsen pool which only allow 2-3 people. Indoor pool is normal size. Believe never too crowd as rooms is limited and there is 3 private onsen rooms.
Meal is very good as is I expecting when choosing this hotel.
Hotel.com didn’t mentioned meal at restaurant. Hopefully hotel can arrange In-room dinning for my second night stay dinner with additional charge.
