対面なしの受付で特に問題はなかったのですが、スパの部屋に入るのに番号を知らされていなかったので、時間になっても入れず困りました。部屋に、スパの暗証番号を書いた紙でも置いておいてくれれば良かったです。
後は部屋も綺麗でとても良かったです。

最高でした！

女友達3人で利用しました。
お部屋は大変綺麗でセンスも良く、とても新しくキレイで、水回り、食器、リネン類、タオル、どれをとっても清潔で、大変気持ちよく過ごせました。
電化製品、食器類も、きちんとしたメーカーのものがオシャレに統一されて置かれており、気持ちよく使用できました。
デパ地下や近くのお店でテイクアウトしたお料理やお酒で、楽しい夜を過ごしました。
祇園からは少し歩いた静かなところで、一階にファミリーマートがあり、大変便利でした。

チェックアウト後、荷物をセルフで預けられ、身軽に観光に出かけられました。
祇園界隈、東山、岡崎周辺が全て徒歩圏内で、あちこち散策できました。

大変気に入り、次回も必ず宿泊したいです。

I would highly recommend this hotel for families who want to be a quieter neighborhood but within very close proximity and walking distance to the action of the Gion district. We normally stay at 4-5 star hotels, but seeing how most hotel rooms in Japan have a max of 3 people per room, I decided to try something different and booked an Executive Apartment which was perfect for our family of 4 (2 teenagers). At first I was a bit concerned about staying at a hotel without an official front desk, but they were more than accommodating and were available to help when needed. I appreciated the proximity to the Family Mart for all our last minute needs (extra socks and cooling spray for the summer heat!) and convenience food cravings, and it was a very short walk to great restaurants, temples, subway line and the bustle of the Gion area. Overall a wonderful experience and I would absolutely stay here again!

This property is clean and well kept. Location is unbeatable. Walking distance to Gion, Pontocho St, Nishiki Market and serveral beautiful shrines and temples. Will definitely stay again on my next trip to Kyoto.

We had the executive bedroom apartment. The beds in the bedroom were comfortable (two "twin" beds that were almost full beds in U.S. measurements). Overall clean and bright. Adequate kitchenette. Good shower system. Washing machine was a bonus but didn't seem to dry things very well. Just a few blocks from shopping and restaurants. A convenience store right below. Good coffee a block away at Ohana 8.

Good location, we got the large room which was fantastic with a separate aleeping area so the little one can sleep first while we spent time in the living / dining room
Washer dryer was great but needs english instruction however Google Translate is your friend.

Very good hotel for families in a very cool neighb

Very comfortable hotel with a great location. The "smart" check in process is annoying and for us did not work at both Minn properties as hotels.com confirmation number is not the hotels reference number which causes confusion and needs assistance from humans that are not really there. They are there but they just tell you to use the online survey check-in process which is glitchy. We watched many travelers with similar issues.

Loved the layout of the rooms. It is a fantastic blend of Western and Japanese taste and needs. Property is new and very clean. Bedding very comfortable. Loved that there was a Lawson store right beside the property. Somewhat inconvenient is check-in is handled remotely, is not by a person onsite. There is no early check-in.

The room itself is fine (after we had someone clean the place since there was hair on the bedding and on the floor) but the check in process for this place is the worst. Since there’s no reception area you can’t have your bags shipped to the place like you can in a normal hotel, the area where they keep your bags until check in isn’t secured, you pretty much leave it in an open closet that any outsider can get to. If you’re lucky there’s a wire strap that you can tie a luggage handle to but I wasn’t able to use one. Once it’s time to check in you’re then thrown into confusion, there’s a QR code you scan to start the process which is fine, if the tech is sound then no problem but at one point you’re supposed to make a Teams call but to who I couldn’t figure out since there were at least a dozen users in this group, another customer who was staying there had to help me. After you figure that out then you’re in a call with someone who doesn’t have their camera on so I had no idea if I was talking to a real person or not and a lot of the conversation was lost in translation, half the time they just kept repeating “uh huh, yes.” Also the pre checkin process feels sketchy, why do I need to upload a picture of my passport to a service I’m not familiar with? I will say that the Japanese staff who was there on the first day was great, even though he didn’t speak a lot of English he came and cleaned the room, he’s been the one bright spot of this whole experience.

Excellent location.
Beautiful, new apartment. Big enough for a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 pre-teens) comfortable large beds.
Fully equipped Kitchen and wash/dryer in the room (super convenient, specially if you travel light, like us)
Walking distance from lots of tourist attractions
We also drove to Kyoto from Tokyo.
There is a public parking lot right across the road from the property (it cost us about 5000 yen for three days)
Checkin was all online and super easy to do. You then get a code for the lobby and for your apartment’s door.

Will definitely stay again whenever we are back in Kyoto

Minn Gion was so spacious for our family of four with older kids and everything was seamless from checkin to checkout. There was a family mart right next door which made it so convenient to grab snacks and drinks. And best of all, it was in a prime location that made it easy for casual strolls to the local shrines and restaurants. Would highly recommend!

Some improvements needed- great place to stay

The property was lovely. However virtual check in was not very helpful when we arrived 15 minutes early. They told us to call back in 15 minutes. Considering we rented the largest apartment for a week, you would think they would have some flexibility. We were travelling with 2 elderly people in one in wheelchair. So we waited in the lobby after a long international travel day. There was an intermittent sewage smell on the first floor. We were on the fifth floor and it was fine. But something was definitely wrong as you entered the area to the elevator. The accommodations were great. We loved having the kitchen and living area. Would stay again.

Great hotel. Great location. Party of 3. Checkin and checkout was very easy. Keyless and automated checkin and and checkout but if there is an employee in the front lobby, they will be there all day. Very helpful as well. Family mart nextdoor outside. Only con is only 2 laundry machines in basement floor and they dont work very well. Went to a laundry place down the block. Just as stated in hotel website, no toiletries such as toothbrush, etc. are given but can be bought in the lobby for a couple hubdred yen. Overall good place near everything. Would come again here.

The property was nice and clean, self check-in was simple and easy. The room was very spacious with a kitchen. The only issue I had was that it was loud at night, you could hear people talking and loud cars/motorcycles even with all the windows closed and curtains drawn.

Nice hotel in a great location near Gion. Lots of food options nearby. Very walkable and near subway. Check in and check out were no-contact and easy. You cannot transport luggage to this hotel because they do not always have staff manning the front desk. You can transport luggage to Yamato Transport which is about a 15 min walk from the hotel. Room is good size and clean. Beds were comfortable.

Great location with many tourist sites easily walkable. The room was spacious for a family of four, the private sauna and spa time allocation is amazing and perfect to help recover from all the steps, suggest prefilling the check in information before you arrive for a quick and easy check in. The property is immaculate, very clean, and the staff is very helpful/polite. They use a cloud check in/check out service that I thought was very quick, simple, and user friendly. 今次與家人一起旅行，家庭式的旅館正適合。室內地方寬闊，有足夠的空間。廚房用品齊全，更有洗衣乾衣機。旅館旁邊就有familymart，四周更有一些隱世美食，步行就可以到平安神宮，八阪神社，清水寺等，方便。家人對旅館評價很高，表明下次再到京都，都要再入住。

Small, but comfortable room. Was perfect for us

We stayed here as a group of 5 guys. The check in process was very smooth and everything in the room was very clean and modern. We booked the option with 2 beds in a bedroom and 3 Japanese floor mattresses in the living room. We knew it would be a small room and tight fit, but we were all still very comfortable. If you need more room to spread out, I would recommend getting a bigger room. We would definitely come back! Great price and location as well

Location and space 10 out of 10

Family with 3 teenaged boys. The bedroom had 2 full sized beds. The boys slept in the mat sleeping area. Not a lot of room in either room for luggage but the living room and dining area gave us ample space to spread out. The shower was great. We paid to use the spa twice and that was nice. Location was beyond perfect. It was close to everything. We stayed in four different hotels on this trip and this was by far everyone’s favorite space.

Great location, good sized room. Self-storage of luggage for early arrival a big plus. 15 and 21 year-olds slept on couches with provided linens. Said the couches were pretty hard. Still overall, highly recommend.

Hotel was really bad and not worth a price. I got vip access although spa/sauna was not free. There is no one available st staff pretty much the whole day. One person is managing entire staff in the hotel. No tea/coffee in the hotel. Amount paying for this hotel is not at all worth it. Spa/sauna Nd laundry is also not free. So much to improve to worth the price of this hotel. Would never recommend anyone.

Excellent location. Very nicely appointed. Helpful staff. Spacious. Close to subway transport, food, shopping and walkable to key areas of interest on both sides of the river esp Gion (Yasaka shrine, Sannaeizka and Nineizka, Kiyomizu-dera) and Pontocho, Nishiki markets. Family mart next door. Only minor negative was no washer/dryer in our room type but I believe others do. However, there were 2 in basement. The Japanese style bedding was very comfortable for the four of us - 2 teenagers and 2 adults. I’d stay here again for sure.

My family and I loved how this property is quiet and relaxing and close to the station, yet it's away from all the hustle and bustle. It was very spacious and had a washer/dryer. The lady at the check in counter was very helpful and friendly. We would definitely check out other MInn Gion locations when we return to Japan.

Fantastic hotel within walking distance of a metro station. Very conveniently placed, being close to both a metro and a train station that’ll get you where you want to go in Kyoto. Quiet area, but also within walking distance of a popular downtown/commercial shopping district/market with lots of food options, so it’s an ideal location.

Walkable to several transport options and many parts of Gion. We had no problems getting anywhere in Kyoto from there, and could walk to many of the places we wanted to go.
The apartment style room was larger than than any hotel room we've stayed in, which made it very comfortable and for an enjoyable stay where we weren't tripping over ourselves and our stuff like often happens in hotels.

I chose this hotel because there is a VIP access. However, I was told there is not such option in this hotel. And there is no receiption in the hotel. Can only communicate via online. But the room is spacious and clean. Good for traveling with family

When arrived around 3pm local time, I was greeted by a staff member who actually spoke a pretty good English. She assisted me with various needs so I felt easy and home already. The room was nicely equipped just like what it stated and all worked flawlessly. Nice to have Family mart store located on the first floor of the same building. Definitely & highly recommend Minn Hotel chains when traveling to Japan. Couldn’t be happier.

Not pleasant

Hotel looks pretty new but don’t provide service at all during my four nights stay which make the experience not pleasant. They don’t change towel, and no service at all. No one at lobby, all self service. Besides the newer facility, I didn’t find the stay enjoyable. And sensor light at all way is a very stupid design that wakes up everyone at night when a person step into the room. I Wouldn't stay here again.

Excellent Stay at Gion

I stayed in room for 4 people, 2 twin beds and 2 futon beds. Room is spacious for japanese standard and beautifully decorated. Convenience store just next to the hotel building. Walkable distance to popular Gion, Kiyomizu dera and Kodaiji temple. Everything is excellent. Thank you Minn Gion.
