周辺環境があまり良く無い。ホテル自体はとても快適だったので残念だった。
あと少し歌舞伎町中心からずれていれば安心してコンビニにも行けると思う。

スタッフの方もとても良かったです。コスパも私はとてもラッキーに安く泊まれました。部屋もとても清潔でよかったのですが、唯一Wi-Fiの環境がちょうど全館不具合が起きていて残念でした。新宿での宿泊にはまた利用したいと思います。ありがとうございました。

The location was super convenient and the staff was very friendly! The roll-away bed was very firm, but we asked for an extra blanket to use as a pad and that did the trick! The room was clean and the amenities were excellent. We’d stay again!

Great location, although at night, even on the 14th floor, I can still hear people shouting from the streets below. Also, they clean the rooms every 3 nights, so if u stay for 4 nights, they will change all your bedsheets just for you to use for one night which I feel is a little ‘inefficient’ .. why not give customers the choice of a day to change the sheets. Other than that, staff were amazing and it’s a good hotel chain. Will not hesitate to stay again.

Let’s start at the top-the location if you want the Shinjuku nightlife is right in the heart of the action. The staff were friendly and courteous, however it should be mentioned that they have a strict no check in til 3:00 pm. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and always fresh and overall condition of the room was maintained to a high standard…my only feedback would be that the room(my fault not theirs) is incredibly small…my wife and I were tripping all over each other and our luggage for 4 days.

Bra hotell som ligger mitt i Shinjuku festdistrikt, men vi hörde inget från vårt rum på 13e våningen.
Bokade Queen bed room som var både rymligt och fräscht.

Frukosten var inget bra, vi förbeställde och betalade tyvärr för fyra dagar och kunde inte annulera efter checkin. Rekommenderar att ätafrukist ute på stan istället.

The room was very compact but suited our visit to Shinjuku perfectly with access to a variety of things the area has to offer. The staff were kind and helpful. Having washer / dryers available was really handy as well.

Room was a lovely size by Japan standards. Bed was super comfortable and had a good view from the window. Loved the wet room and bathroom as well! Staff were amazing with check in/out and luggage transfer! Breakfast had good variety. No issues with the wifi. Would love to stay here again !

We opted to stay in the Japanese King room. The room was basically a mattress on the floor and was very plain. No real place to put our luggage and only 4 hangers to hang our clothes. After our stay, I read that the other rooms had room to put your suitcases under the bed. A clean room and friendly front desk staff, but I would say the hotel is quite minimal.

Shijuku area is 24 hours alive, with nightclubs , I would prefer to choose quieter area

The rooms are tight but the front desk staff are quite friendly and helpful. It was disappointing that there were no amenities other than umbrellas and free water. Although there was toothpaste with a toothbrush in the room.

Great experience

Room was nice and clean the shower was great and had really nice water pressure. When we checked in the staff was very nice and friendly. If it is raining the hotel provides umbrellas. Something to note is they only clean the rooms every three nights so if you want new towels you just put a magnet on your door that says replace towels and they will bring new ones.

Great staff working here and hotel looked nice, just felt a little cheap and small for what i paid for. Barely had any space in the room after setting the luggage down. I understand Shinjuku can be a bit dirty due to the nightlife but this was next level with trash everywhere, heavy sewer smell and nobody cleaning it up. Had to walk past a lot of intimidating individuals who would eye me and my family's suitcases up and down. Literally counted 15+ walking from Shinjuku station to the hotel. Unpleasant. Only saving grace is that it's a good location close to many restaurants.

Staff was nice and friendly. Room was too small and the king bed “room” is just a mattress on the floor which I really didn’t like. Had to look through the booking to find pictures of what I booked as I didn’t think I reserved a mattress on the floor, and the “king bed” pics were buried deep after the queen bed which was a bed and the triple rooms which has 3 beds.

We struggled, very tight to fit two suitcases. Did really like the laundry facilities.

Die Zimmer sind relativ eng aber dafür ist man direkt in der Stadt. Alles fußläufig erreichbar und dennoch relativ ruhig gelegen. Für mich war es der zweite Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Ich würde hier auch wieder übernachten.

The property is in a red light district. My partner and I did not feel safe, we checked out the same night and got a different hotel. The Japanese suite, has no bed but a mattress on the floor. The staff is nice and sweet just not pleased with the location and room.

Comfortable room, excellent bathroom

We were quite comfortable in our room- it was quiet at night and has an excellent shower and bath. The bed has outlets and a small ledge on the headboard, and is high enough to fit luggage underneath. Room has a safe and mini fridge. Would help to have a shelf in the room, as well as towel hooks in the bathroom so that towels can dry overnight. Staff very professional and friendly.

Goed hotel met prima personeel en faciliteiten. De locatie bevindt zich 10 minuten op loopafstand van station Shinjuku. Het ligt echt midden in de bruisende stad. Niet gehorig (wij zaten op vefdieping 12). Wat betreft prijs kwaliteit verhouding is het een prima hotel. Hotelkamers zijn een beetje klein maar dat is Japan eigen.

The staff at this hotel were very nice and accommodating. We really loved the hotel including the rooms which were just big enough in comparison to other rooms we stayed at that were just too small. It is a very clean property and provides everything you need around the area. I would avoid bringing children to stay in this hotel as the areas around are not for their little eyes to see. Aside from that, it was a great place to stay for adults/couples.

Pillows felt like horses stable.

Aircon sounded like a V8 engine.

Did not complain because everyone seems to not speak English when complain.

I’ve stayed at many hotels across Japan for work, and this was unfortunately my worst stay. The property looks fairly new and the front desk staff were genuinely excellent — polite, helpful, and welcoming.

That said, the hotel itself feels closer to an ultra-budget stay. There were no real amenities beyond a toothbrush, no room cleaning during my stay, and even the only ice machine was broken. Compared to the usual Japanese hotel standard, it felt quite subpar.

If you’re only looking for a simple place to sleep, it may be fine. But if you’re expecting the typical level of comfort and amenities you usually find at Japanese hotels, this will be disappointing.

It’s a floor mattress, house keeping is every 4 days. YOU HAVE TO BRING THE TOWELS OUT. If you lose your room key they’ll charge you. They will not check you in earlier. You have to wait have 3pm, period.

However, the shower was awesome, the staff was nice; and the place was clean.

Hotel was centrally located in Shinjuku. While it was located in the red light district, the hotel itself was on a quiet side street. Shower large but the room was small if you have 2 large pieces of luggage.

I booked this hotel as I had previously stayed in the lovely Amanek in Kanazawa. I was very disappointed. This hotel is in need of a makeover. The bathroom smelt like a drain. The carpet in the room was not one you’d want to walk on with bare feet. The only slippers provided were well worn. The amenities provided were very basic compared to other hotels, including the breakfast which provided minimal options. Although very close to high end shops, it’s in a very sleazy area amongst “love” hotels. The surrounding streets are littered with rubbish and, in the morning, drunks sleeping it off.

The rooms are incredibly small with no closet or storage resulting in keeping everything in suitcase s and opening on the bed to get anything in and out of suitcase. Smallest room I have ever stayed in. The bed was ok comfort-wise, but mattress on the floor. 3 days in my husband and I noted big bites. Hoping we are not bring home bed bugs.

L’hôtel est très bien. Personnel accueillant. Les chambres étaient un peu petites et mal organisées. Les stations de métro étaient à minimum 7/8 min à pieds. Chambre très bien isolées.

Good Value Stay, but Neighborhood Not for Everyone

HOTEL AMANEK Shinjuku-Kabukicho offers good value for a stay in Tokyo. The room itself was about what you’d expect from a big-city hotel—compact but functional. The bathroom was actually more spacious than I anticipated, which was a nice surprise, and while the bed leaned a little firm, it was still comfortable enough for a short stay.

One thing to note: the hotel was very strict about check-in time. We arrived about 90 minutes early and weren’t able to check in, so it’s worth planning around that.

What didn’t work for me was the neighborhood. Shinjuku has its own character, but I personally found it less appealing, and that affected my overall impression of the stay. To be fair, that’s not the hotel’s fault, and if the area works for you, this hotel could be a solid choice for its price point and amenities.

The hotel was in a great location for Shinjuku. The room was an okay size and very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was bigger than we were expecting! It had both a bath and shower. The water pressure was very good.

All the staff were very helpful and friendly. We shipped our luggage from Tokyo to Kyoto and it arrived before we did.

We were given a ticket for a free welcome drink but we didn't use this or the basement area where the bar and laundry were located as we were out during the hours the area was open.

I would highly recommend!
