周辺環境があまり良く無い。ホテル自体はとても快適だったので残念だった。
あと少し歌舞伎町中心からずれていれば安心してコンビニにも行けると思う。

スタッフの方もとても良かったです。コスパも私はとてもラッキーに安く泊まれました。部屋もとても清潔でよかったのですが、唯一Wi-Fiの環境がちょうど全館不具合が起きていて残念でした。新宿での宿泊にはまた利用したいと思います。ありがとうございました。

Staff was nice and friendly. Room was too small and the king bed “room” is just a mattress on the floor which I really didn’t like. Had to look through the booking to find pictures of what I booked as I didn’t think I reserved a mattress on the floor, and the “king bed” pics were buried deep after the queen bed which was a bed and the triple rooms which has 3 beds.

We struggled, very tight to fit two suitcases. Did really like the laundry facilities.

Die Zimmer sind relativ eng aber dafür ist man direkt in der Stadt. Alles fußläufig erreichbar und dennoch relativ ruhig gelegen. Für mich war es der zweite Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Ich würde hier auch wieder übernachten.

Sehr saubere und ruhige Zimmer

Sehr sauberes und ruhiges Zimmer. Das Frühstücksbuffet ausreichend. Die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption konnten Englisch und halfen beim Gepäcktransport usw.

The property is in a red light district. My partner and I did not feel safe, we checked out the same night and got a different hotel. The Japanese suite, has no bed but a mattress on the floor. The staff is nice and sweet just not pleased with the location and room.

Comfortable room, excellent bathroom

We were quite comfortable in our room- it was quiet at night and has an excellent shower and bath. The bed has outlets and a small ledge on the headboard, and is high enough to fit luggage underneath. Room has a safe and mini fridge. Would help to have a shelf in the room, as well as towel hooks in the bathroom so that towels can dry overnight. Staff very professional and friendly.

Goed hotel met prima personeel en faciliteiten. De locatie bevindt zich 10 minuten op loopafstand van station Shinjuku. Het ligt echt midden in de bruisende stad. Niet gehorig (wij zaten op vefdieping 12). Wat betreft prijs kwaliteit verhouding is het een prima hotel. Hotelkamers zijn een beetje klein maar dat is Japan eigen.

The staff at this hotel were very nice and accommodating. We really loved the hotel including the rooms which were just big enough in comparison to other rooms we stayed at that were just too small. It is a very clean property and provides everything you need around the area. I would avoid bringing children to stay in this hotel as the areas around are not for their little eyes to see. Aside from that, it was a great place to stay for adults/couples.

So did not realise Japanese style room just means tiny room with a mattress on the floor!!!

Pillows felt like horses stable.

Aircon sounded like a V8 engine.

Did not complain because everyone seems to not speak English when complain.

I’ve stayed at many hotels across Japan for work, and this was unfortunately my worst stay. The property looks fairly new and the front desk staff were genuinely excellent — polite, helpful, and welcoming.

That said, the hotel itself feels closer to an ultra-budget stay. There were no real amenities beyond a toothbrush, no room cleaning during my stay, and even the only ice machine was broken. Compared to the usual Japanese hotel standard, it felt quite subpar.

If you’re only looking for a simple place to sleep, it may be fine. But if you’re expecting the typical level of comfort and amenities you usually find at Japanese hotels, this will be disappointing.

It’s a floor mattress, house keeping is every 4 days. YOU HAVE TO BRING THE TOWELS OUT. If you lose your room key they’ll charge you. They will not check you in earlier. You have to wait have 3pm, period.

However, the shower was awesome, the staff was nice; and the place was clean.

Hotel was centrally located in Shinjuku. While it was located in the red light district, the hotel itself was on a quiet side street. Shower large but the room was small if you have 2 large pieces of luggage.

I booked this hotel as I had previously stayed in the lovely Amanek in Kanazawa. I was very disappointed. This hotel is in need of a makeover. The bathroom smelt like a drain. The carpet in the room was not one you’d want to walk on with bare feet. The only slippers provided were well worn. The amenities provided were very basic compared to other hotels, including the breakfast which provided minimal options. Although very close to high end shops, it’s in a very sleazy area amongst “love” hotels. The surrounding streets are littered with rubbish and, in the morning, drunks sleeping it off.

The rooms are incredibly small with no closet or storage resulting in keeping everything in suitcase s and opening on the bed to get anything in and out of suitcase. Smallest room I have ever stayed in. The bed was ok comfort-wise, but mattress on the floor. 3 days in my husband and I noted big bites. Hoping we are not bring home bed bugs.

Good Value Stay, but Neighborhood Not for Everyone

HOTEL AMANEK Shinjuku-Kabukicho offers good value for a stay in Tokyo. The room itself was about what you’d expect from a big-city hotel—compact but functional. The bathroom was actually more spacious than I anticipated, which was a nice surprise, and while the bed leaned a little firm, it was still comfortable enough for a short stay.

One thing to note: the hotel was very strict about check-in time. We arrived about 90 minutes early and weren’t able to check in, so it’s worth planning around that.

What didn’t work for me was the neighborhood. Shinjuku has its own character, but I personally found it less appealing, and that affected my overall impression of the stay. To be fair, that’s not the hotel’s fault, and if the area works for you, this hotel could be a solid choice for its price point and amenities.

The hotel was in a great location for Shinjuku. The room was an okay size and very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was bigger than we were expecting! It had both a bath and shower. The water pressure was very good.

All the staff were very helpful and friendly. We shipped our luggage from Tokyo to Kyoto and it arrived before we did.

We were given a ticket for a free welcome drink but we didn't use this or the basement area where the bar and laundry were located as we were out during the hours the area was open.

I would highly recommend!

Great Hotel

Great location, well maintained and very clean. Very accomodating and helpful staff with good knowledge. Everything we needed. Plenty of fresh towels available. Comfy beds and we especially liked the ability to watch the progress of our washer dryer usage on the tv.

Relatively nice property in the thick of things. Only serves breakfast. The room was decent. Bathroom had powder (baby powder) on the inside of the door and at the baseboard. The day they cleaned the room, the left all the empty recycling (plastic bottles) in the room. Not a big deal. I took them to the basement floor where the recycling was myself. Employees spoke almost no English. It is a foreign country. I suppose this should be expected. Not a world traveler by any means.

The hotel is in the heart of Kabuki Cho which isn't for the feint hearted. If you want bars and partylife this is the place for you. I did find the staff pretty inflexible and after we left we had left an expensive item in the room. I emailed them about it and two weeks later we haven't had a reply.

This is a very good utilitarian hotel. Great location if you like to be in the center of things. It's like being in Times Square in New York City. The rooms are very small, which is not uncommon for Tokyo hotels.

The only negative thing I'd say about the property was the limited size of our room, other than that it is a well presented hotel with great staff. The area is a little sketchy (as to be expected from KABUKICHO) however it has got worse over the last 2 years since i was last here. The constant harassment from the Nigerians trying to get you into rip off bars or rip off strip clubs is getting worse, every corner i turned i was asked or grabbed by one of them, one of the nights i nearly lost my cool. The police do nothing reagrding these individuals and are to busy picking on the homeless.
All in all great hotel, shame about the some of the people around the area, would i stay again? Definitely. I just hope Japan sorts out the things what really let KABUKICHO down.

Fantastic! It’s fairly close to Shinjuku Station, which made getting here easy. The room was clean, modern, and a respectable size for the price. All of the staff were friendly, polite, and spoke English well. Even though it’s located in an area full of nightlife venues, it was still quiet. There is plenty to do and see nearby, and its location in Shinjuku makes it easy to get to Shibuya, Akihabara, and anywhere else. This was my first hotel after I arrived in Japan, and I’m very grateful for the staff at the front desk for being so welcoming to my travel-weary self. Thank you!

This hotel is in a great area! Wouldn’t say it’s kid friendly especially at night. Definitely for young adults. The room was very nice! Only thing I didn’t like was the fire alarm went off so much at 8am! And through the intercom in the room they said it was a false alarm but it still kept ringing loudly on top of the the static loud talking and then music played though it. I was just trying to sleep.

Zentrales, modernes Hotel mit kleinen Zimmern.

Das Hotel liegt circa 10 Minuten vom Bahnhof Shinjuku entfernt in der Mitte des Ausgeviertels. Die Umgebung ist recht laut aber es ist viel los. Zwei grössere Supermärkte sind circa sieben Gehminuten entfernt. Die Zimmer sind sehr sehr klein, aber modern eingerichtet. Die Reinigung der Zimmer erfolgt nur alle drei Tage. Eine tägliche Reinigung kann gegen Aufpreis bezahlt werden. TV ist nicht verfügbar, sondern nur über eigene Streaming Dienste. Der Abfall muss selbst aus dem Zimmer gebracht werden und wird dann vom Flur entsorgt. Handtücher können täglich gewechselt werden, müssen hierfür jedoch vor die Tür gelegt werden.
