Loved our stay!

The hotel was amazing! Great location and friendly front desk staff. This hotel is a short block from a Lawson’s and a 5 min walk or less to the JR and Metro train stations. The washer and dryer in the room worked super well and we did not need to dry clothes at a laundromat or hang dry any clothes in the room. We would definitely stay here again!

Located about 4 mins walk from Okachimachi Station. The room is quite spacious compared to the other hotels in Japan. Restroom and shower room are separated. Having the laundry machine in there is a nice touch. Staffs are really nice.

Exceptional kind staff. They went out of their way and translated how to use washer machine in English. Secured, safe, and very clean. Walking to food, shopping and close to Ueno Park. 2nd time we stayed here in 6 months!!!this is how amazing it was. Family of four with two teenagers. Plenty of room 2 bunks 2 beds, table tv etc… felt like I was in my own home. Recommend to anyone who wants peace of mind while traveling. Thank you staff and thank you Japan!

Great apartment, easy access from the Skyliner via Ueno Station. Within walking distance to all of Akihabara, and via Akihabara Station you can reach everywhere else in Tokyo. The fact that Akihabara is more oriented towards nightlife means that the Station is relatively uncrowded in the morning, easy to hop on any train. Would definitely stay again. (1-week stay, family with 12yo boy)

The price is very competitive and the size of room is huge in Japan standard. One big plus which is not emphasized in description is that it has in-room washer and dryer, and detergent is provided. Front desk is very friendly as well. The location is also close to shopping and food. The only problem is the noise from nearby subway. If you have sleeping difficulty, this is not for you. For me, I use ear plugs and it was okay. My children were not bothered by it, but my wife didn't sleep well.

This apartment hotel exceeded all expectations. Perfect for a family of four, the apartment is spacious by Japanese standards, has in-suite laundry, kitchen, fridge/freezer, toaster, microwae, vacuum cleaner, utensils and dishes, dish soap and sponge, laundry basket and rack, plenty of towels and of course, clean to a Japanese standard. The apartment is relatively soundproof as well, given its next to JR corridor. Recommend!

The location was very convenient for Ueno, but thirty minutes from Shibuya if you prefer that area. It was very clean, good space, comfortable bed and the washer dryer was so decent. Check in was ready and smooth. Everything was wonderful.

Great location!

Great location next to JR Yamanote line, Okachimachi station. If you are in the rooms ending in 01. It's closest to the station. You will hear some train noise but it's not that loud. You'll also get the morning sun. The room is nice and comfortable.

So central to Akihabara and Ueno markets. Easy spot to explore east side of city. Staff very friendly when we checked out we were not ready to leave so we were able to leave our bags, it was raining and they let us use their hotel umbrellas even though we had checked out. So kind. We certainly be back here. We are a family, so much space and convenience.

Amazing location in a convenient, walkable neighborhood. About a 3-minute walk from a good grocery store and from train stations with access to the Yamanote, Ginza, Keihin–Tōhoku, and Hibiya lines. A pleasant 10-minute walk to Akihabara or to Ueno Park.

Our room faced the rail lines, but noise was not a problem; the windows dampened the sound enough so that passing trains didn't disturb our sleep. We didn't hear any noise from other hotel guests either. It was a very quiet stay.

The in-room kitchen and washer/dryer were extremely convenient. We had a "Deluxe Japanese" room, and it worked great for our family of 4 (adults slept in the beds and kids slept on futon mattresses on the tatami). It also helped things feel a little more authentic and local than an American-style hotel.

Check-in and check-out were easy. The front desk staff spoke good English and were responsive to our needs. Everything was clean and pleasant. WiFi worked great.

There are several other MONday hotels nearby with similar names, which can be confusing. There is a "hotel MONday Premium Ueno Okachimachi" (no "Apart") that is several blocks away, as well as a "MONday Apart Premium Ueno" (no "Okachimachi") and a "MONday Apart Ueno Shin-Okachimachi" (note the "Shin"). These are all different locations. Make sure to note the difference when booking and when traveling to the location. If you take a taxi, just give the taxi driver the exact address (Ueno 3-8-8) to avoid confusion.

Love it and will come back

We had a fantastic stay at Monday Apart Premium Ueno Okachimachi during our time in Tokyo. The location is excellent, we arrived at Narita Airport and took the Keisei train directly to Keisei-Ueno Station, which is about a 10-minute walk to the hotel. When we left Tokyo by bullet train, it was just a short and easy ride to Tokyo Station from the nearby JR station (only 5 minutes away on foot).

The area around the hotel is vibrant, with lots of restaurants and shopping options. It’s within walking distance to Ameyoko shopping street, where there’s tons of great food and deals, and it’s also close to Akihabara if you’re interested in electronics or anime culture.

We stayed in a traditional Japanese family room, which was perfect for our family of four. It was very clean and spacious. The kids loved sleeping on the tatami mats, and there was also a twin bed and a double bed. My husband and I each had our own bed, which was a pleasant surprise, I had been worried we’d have to share a double bed!

The room also had a washer/dryer combo, which was super convenient and allowed us to pack light. Another nice touch: there was even a vacuum cleaner in the room, which I used to tidy up during our stay. Housekeeping is provided once every 7 nights, but we didn’t end up using it.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and overall we had a really comfortable and enjoyable stay. We would definitely stay here again the next time we’re in Tokyo!

I definitely loved the location, close to Okachimachi station, 4 min walk to Ginza station, about 15 min walk to Akihabara. Ueno shopping was crazy busy, food is always top notch. Hotel was perfect for a family of 4, washer/dryer combo in the room gave us more room in the luggage to bring gifts home. There is a cool and very traditional town in Ueno that was filled with Temple and Shrines. Amazing trip, we are already planning our next adventure because we didn't get to do everything we wanted. Bring good walking shoes and exercise before you go to Japan and your feet will thank you.

Overall, I am very happy staying at MONday properties during a few trips to Japan. Their accommodation is just perfect for family either with children or adults.

This couldn't have gone any better - don't hesitate! Spacious, clean, free in-room laundry, kitchen w/ bowls/plates/etc. Location is perfect: easy walk to tons of shopping and dining - even a park/museum area and Zoo (Ueno). Also very easy walk to most touristy train (Yamanote) and a few others....you can get anywhere. We'll be staying here again next time without a doubt.

Nice room and Friendly Helpful Staff

This hotel is one of the better places to stay in Ueno Tokyo. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room has everything you need but I personally found the beds a little too firm for my liking. Bedsheets were comfy though. The train noise woke me up in the morning and there was no maid service to make up the room. There is no black out blinds and the automatic lights in the kitchen were annoying on the first nigh until we asked them to turn that off which they did no problem. These things make it sound like it’s not a good place to stay but it is. It’s very comfortable and has everything you need for a good stay. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again. It’s just these few things made it less than perfect.

Great apartment

It was a very comfortable and pleasant stay.
Hotel is very close to the train station however if you are a light sleeper, you will be able to hear the trains go by. We are a family with a 7 and 5yo and they slept through the train sounds.
It didn’t bother us at all due to its location.

the hotel is close to multiple stations so very convenient for train access. airport train station also just a few mins walk away. close to malls, shops, restos and convenience stores.

downside to our stay is room cleaning only every 7 days. our trip in tokyo lasted 8 days so having the room cleaned only a day before checkout was not ideal. the hotel might want to consider room cleaning during the middle part of someones stay.

also towels will not be replaced even if old ones placed outside the room as intructed. you will need to go to recep and ask for one everytime you want one.

the hotel has only one elevator so it can take some time before you can access it. hotel and room access via pin so nice to not have to worry about losing a room key. they will require you to return the printed paper of your pin or else they will charge you additional nights for non return.

the staff were all friendly. will consider booking again.

This relatively large apartment style hotel was perfect for our short stay in Tokyo. It is close to several metro stations and a large department store, and there were many restaurants nearby. The in room laundry was nice to have, and the friendly people at the desk were happy to give me extra soap for the machine. After staying in two tiny tiny hotel rooms in Narita and Osaka, staying in this large space was a real treat!

And honestly wish we’d booked the Monday apart hotels every where. It was sooooo comfortable for our family of 4. Two comfy beds plus two comfy bunks, full dining table, tv, washer/dryer and decent sized room. Staff were Amazing and super kind and helpful. Area was the best. 2 minute walk to station, food, shopping and market and on the other side 12 min walk to electric town. Loved our stay it was brilliant.

Absolutely amazing stay. I’ve stayed at multiple hotels in the area, and this is the best by far. For the price, the size of the room was enormous(by tokyo standards). Shower/Bath was great. Love that the toilet was in a separate room. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. Definitely coming back next year!
