入り口近くに、小さな滝もあり、水の音にも癒されました。3階のまた窓側のフリースペースが雰囲気も良かったです。露天風呂はほぼ貸切状態でゆっくりできました。

箱根駅の観光エリアから少し離れた地点にある旅館だった。本館別館と複数の温泉を利用でき、良い意味で時代を感じる旅館だった。スタッフの対応も良く、また機会があれば行きたいと思う。歴史のある建物柄、少し道路の音が気になることがあったがそれ以外は素晴らしかった。

箱根のメイン道路に面しているので夜中でも車の通行があり、走り屋が多いと結構な騒音がします。
また、大浴場が本館にあるので21:30迄で締まってしまいますし、バイトの人たちからなのか、出かけていなければ21時ぐらいで戸締まりされてしまい出かけられなくなります。
制限事項があるので部屋でゆっくりする分にはいいのですが、どこかに出かけて夜に帰ってくるとかは出来ないです。

若い人向けの素敵な旅館

スタッフの対応がとても良く、サービスも行き届いていて大変満足です。
情緒ある部屋がとても素敵でした。
階段しかないのとトイレが部屋付きじゃない部屋がある事、石鹸を使えるお風呂が本館にしかないというところから、若い人向けのように感じましたが、私たちにとっては特に問題はありませんでした。
道路側の部屋だとかなり外の交通音(車)がうるさいかな、と感じました。

また利用したいです。

古い建物なのに綺麗にされていて気持ち良かったです。3階までの階段と　お手洗いが部屋に無いので少し不便に感じました。スタッフの方々はとても愛想も良く好印象です。

別館宿泊

別館の温泉と、本館の温泉を利用できるので、様々なタイプの温泉を露天のもの含め利用できたのが良かったのと、丁度同日の利用者も多くなかったようで、温泉もゆっくり利用できたのが良かったです。本館の温泉が少し見つけずらかったのと、お部屋にバスルームがない点が、存じてはいましたが、実際やはり少し不便でした。

老舗の旅館に泊まってみたいという願望がないひとには、向いていない。
本館のお風呂は、最高だった。
川縁の旅館なので、川の轟音が、気持ちよかった。
それがいやなひとには、向いていないです。

温故知新

外見は昔からの古い旅館な感じで雰囲気のある感じでした。
中はリフォームされていて綺麗ながらも古さも残されていて、とても良かったです。
ただその為か階段の昇降の足音が少し気になるところではありました。

隣接するイタリアンレストランもとても味がよく
スタッフさんのサービスも出過ぎす引き過ぎず、程良かったです！
またぜひ泊まりたいと思いました！

露天風呂とお風呂が繋がってなくて少し面倒に感じましたが、それ以外は清潔感があり綺麗で風情があってとても良かったです。箱根宿泊の際はまた泊まりたいです！！写真より実際の方がもっと素敵でした！

En fantastisk Ryokan med några små minus.

Det här är en fantastisk Ryokan i en väldigt autentisk och trevlig miljö. De varma källorna är otroligt bra och personalen är trevlig och hjälpsam.

Som andra noterat så är ljudet från vägen utanför ett störande moment, men det blir vitt brus till slut.

Något andra recensioner inte pekat ut så mycket är att sängen är väldigt hård då det är en madrass ovanpå tatami-matta. Är du van vid en mjuk säng så kan detta vara en deal-breaker.

Rummet i övrigt är stort och hotellet är väldigt vackert! Frukosten var godkänd.

Absolutely phenomenal hotel. My stay at this traditional Japanese ryokan was an amazing experience. The rooms are beautiful, the staff are incredibly friendly and the insensitive were wonderful! I cannot recommend this place enough and I hope to be back someday!

Staff were very lovely, room was spacious and beautiful. We accidentally put a hole in the shoji door and refused compensation. Absolutely lovely people.

Open-air bath tub was great!! It was my best experience in my Japan trip. The staffs are very kind and polite. Also, the room that I stay was great too!! Breakfast was good!!
One thing that I felt was not good is WiFi. It doesn’t work well in the room. Except that, Overall experiences were awesome!!

Historical hotel but looks like brand new

This hotel building is 400 years old and a histrionic building. However, this hotel completely renovated and looks like brand new and very clean. The staff is kind and helpful. There is a bus stop to Odawara & lake in front of this hotel and it is convenient and perfect for sightseeing.

The Annex is near a popular onsen, but the onsens at the annex are great too. It’s the 4th bus stop from center. The bus run every 15-30 mins. Taxi isn’t so expensive either. Our room was very spacious. I highly recommend this place c

Beautiful traditional wood building. Have access to the main building’s onsen. Very helpful staff. Room is super clean.
Noise from the main street during night and early morning is not pleasant. Also the room has strong wood smell.

Wonderful stay!

Excellent place to stay in Hakone! Wonderful traditional Japanese room. Very spacious too. The staff were lovely and helpful and the free room amenities were excellent. I went into the female onsen late at night and it was beautiful and peacefully quiet.

A satisfying hot spring hotel with spacious rooms and a stunning 180-degree view. The hotel offers three types of hot springs: open-air, private, and public. I particularly enjoyed the open-air hot spring. The breakfast was delicious with thoughtful variations each day during my two-day stay. Additionally, the hotel is well-equipped with various skincare products, and complimentary coffee and juice. A hotel worth considering for couples and families! (Tip: Conveniently located next to a mountain bus stop for easy transportation.)

Exceptional

Kansuiro annex was amazing. Room and facilities were clean and nice. Forest,River and waterfall near the hotel are amazing. Their public onsen was very beautiful and quiet, I was alone all the time there. I will stay here again next time. Their staff was very polite and welcoming. Excellent work!

住宿好好，作為步兵唔係咁方便

首先，附近行人路很窄，行上去不方便，太早到酒店未必有服務員在1樓放低行李，最好4點後會有人。
房間新淨整齊乾淨，廁所浴室是分男女，同一層共用
溫泉方面，大浴場在主館，時間有限制1600～2130 早上700～930 分館1600到第二天930
服務員工作態度很好，只是英文不太好，要多一點時間溝通

전체적으로 매우 만족. 온천이 별관에 있음. 별관에서 길 헤맸음. 빨간버스타면 하코네프리패스권으로 무료로 하코네쿠모토역 갈 수 있음. 도보로도 충분히 왔다갔다 가능. 주변마을 아침러닝했는데 매우 좋았음.
날씨 한국과 매우 비슷.
늦게까지하는 식당 많이 않지만, 맛있는 식당에서 식사 가능.

Because I was traveling solo, I did not want half board with a big kaiseki dinner and hefty bill.
I did want a retro ambiance and the spacious room and Taisho era buildings and surroundings was perfect.
What I did not like was that even as a Japanese citizen, a male staff member told me I needed to show my passport because I had a U.S. address, writing down a previous Tokyo address pacified him. It just felt it was something about his ego, than a requirement. I read other review about non residents getting harassed such as their luggage being inspected, so maybe some of the staff need to be more woke?

Perfects fighting with traffic

The staff were amazing, the room immaculate and the onsen + rotemburo in the annex and the main ryokan building were great.
HOWEVER, our room (101), which was one of the best I've stayed in during my years in Japan, faced out towards a road that is a main thoroughfare, including for buses and lorries. Result: Not much in the way of continuous sleep. If you can get a room that faces away from the main road, I can't recommend it highly enough. If there are only rooms facing the main road, I would say to give it a miss. At least until we all drive electric, quieter vehicles :-)
