また来たい旅館？ホテル？

2019年の2月にオープンされたばっかりの旅館ですが、まず外観がお洒落。ホテルと旅館の融合って感じ。
クリスマスイブに宿泊したからか
チェックインからスタッフさんもとても丁寧でウェルカムドリンクもあるし、部屋の冷蔵庫にもかるくサービスドリンクもあってと細かいところに気がきいてる感じがしました。映画も無料で観れるし次回はゆっくり来たいです。お風呂も大きいテレビにジャグジーと中々の至れり尽くせり。場所も四条通りまでも遠いかと思ったけど意外に近いし便利でした。駐車場が無いのが残念ですが、近くにコインパーキングはあったのでよかったです。

清潔で立地も悪くなく、少し繁華街から離れているので静かです。お風呂にテレビもあり、冷蔵庫のドリンクも全て無料でした。又泊まりたいです。

I love the interiors of this hotel. A mix of modern and traditional design. It is quiet, you hardly see people around (which I like), yet the staff are there whenever you need them. Our room and the hotel in general is immaculate.

This hotel also has an in-house bath and sauna at an additional cost. You can reserve these amenities at the reception. It was a great way to end the day after walking around sightseeing all day.

I particularly liked the spa bath with a tv on the wall to sit and relax in and then get into my hotel pyjamas, bliss after a hard day wandering around the beautiful geology district.

Wir lieben dieses Hotel. Alleine der Eingangsbereich mit dem Wasser und den Sitzmöbeln ist eine Oase der Ruhe. Die Mitarbeiter sind unaufdringlich, und immer hilfsbereit und freundlich. Wir haben an einem Tag das Frühstück aufs Zimmer bestellt, das war wirklich ein Highlight: wunderschön angerichtet, traditionelle Zutaten. Leider hatten wir keine Zeit die Private Bath Rooms zu nutzen.

Little Gem in the heart of Gion

Staying at Hotel Gion Ichirin was such a wonderful surprise. The hotel feels modern yet still carries an authentic Kyoto charm. The location is perfect—right in the heart of Gion, yet quiet and peaceful.

Our room was beautiful and very comfortable, with a spacious bathroom that felt relaxing after a day of exploring. The amenities were some of the most thoughtful we’ve ever seen in a hotel—it really felt like everything was considered.

The staff were attentive and welcoming, and the lobby was a lovely place to unwind. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations and made our stay in Kyoto truly memorable.

Our favourite out of the four hotels we stayed at, during our Japan trip! Very serene atmosphere, spacious, clean, beautiful room! The staff were friendly and helpful! Though they didn’t have dining or amenities, there were walkable restaurants and attractions nearby, so that didn’t bother us. They had great wifi and access to English programming on the tv.

Amazing experience. Stayed in the Premium Experience room which may be the priciest room. Very authentic Japanese vibe with the best relaxation amenities in your room. Stayed at this hotel for two days during our 2-week trip to recharge

Can’t ask for more in a hotel in Kyoto. The rooms are traditional with tatami mats. The location is great; everything is within a twenty minute walk. The staff is great!

Wonderful hotel. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. They went above and beyond to help us after one of us left something valuable behind in the room. Hotel has a laundry we could use which was great to wash clothes in the middle of our trip. The coffee machine in the Lobby was really good and the fridge of complimentary water bottles was so appreciated each morning a we headed out to explore the city! Great location, easy walk to the train station or shopping area of Gion. Highly recommend!

Overall outstanding and beautiful. Not much space to unpack in our room but we managed. Bed was super comfortable. Laundry took a long time. Not a great machine. Staff was great and friendly. The free drinks and noodles were a nice addition. Would definitely stay here again with less luggage.

Einfach nur schöne und komfortabel

Ein wundervolles Hotel aber auch nicht günstig. Gut gelegen und Zimmer sind wunderschön gestaltet.

Brilliant hotel, very beautifully made and with a lot of well thought amenities. We especially liked the beautiful lighting and the large bed! And we had a jacuzzi. The only downside was the TV sound, it was really quiet no matter what we did

Excellent rooms (one of the best I have stayed in). No views from the rooms, but you can open the windows partially for some fresh air. Rooms are spacious, elegant and comfortable. Staff are polite and facilities are good (it doesn't have dining room or kitchen but the little restaurant directly opposite is a good option).
Would definitely stay here again.

Great location!

Great location. Walkable to Gion, shops and restaurants. The staff are great and helpful. The room was amazing, however I found it odd that our room didn't have any windows we could look out, but it was still a nice room. The lounge area was really nice, in fact all the common areas were beautiful.

This boutique hotel is pretty and very clean.
I love the decor. Room is smart arrange, hence I feel it is quite spacious. The surrounding area is quiet, might be a bit hard to find restaurants, which open after 8 pm. There is a small but very nice restaurant next door which they yummy udon and goyza. I think it close on Monday.
Hotel has complement coffee machine in foyer and instance noodle for free. Which is very handy.

The most incredible hotel, facilities, staff and the look and feel of the place was brilliant. Couldn’t recommend enough. The massage chair was a life saver as well as the other spa facilities in room. The amenities were brilliant too.

A beautiful and spacious hotel within walking distance to most shrines and temples. They offer complimentary coffee and lattes and water along with ramen noodles for guests.
Rooms are clean and comfortable and the general feel is very pleasant. I would highly recommend this place.

My husband and I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, and would book it again. The rooms were so spacious, clean, and it was very peaceful. It was an excellent location in Gion, and we had no qualms with the service. The only thing to be aware of is the rooms are beautiful, but there are no true windows. I knew this before booking, but still would recommend if you are okay with that! I also thought it was overall a relatively good value with other similar places to stay in the area.

Great stay in Osaka

Hotel is in a great area for Gion tourist area, such as Kiyomizu Dera & Maruyama Park are both within a short walking distance. Bus and trains are 10-15 min walk. Plenty of great restaurants close by. The hotel is serene and tranquil and you cannot hear noise from street or other guests in next rooms. Rooms are spacious, even the bath tub was huge ! Free laundry available, but you need to supply own detergent. Private Onsen on 4th floor, that can be booked through concierge. Internet was great and staff were friendly & helpful.

The property exceeded my expectations! It looks just like the photos, was spacious, close to enough to walk everywhere. The staff was lovely. It was clean. I would for sure book a stay here again. The only trouble u had was getting a taxi to pick up but just walked to the top of the road and had no issues

Calm and beautiful hotel in Kyoto

Wonderful stay in Kyoto. Gion Ichirin is in a great spot for sightseeing and shopping, and is in a very beautiful part of the city. The service is efficient and unobtrusive. Clean towels left every day and the room is cleaned on request. Lovely room with a fabulous bath, perfect to come back to after hours of walking!

Spa like hotel

Spa like Japanese style boutique hotel right in Gion for adults. So relaxing, quiet, with the most comfortable beds!! The only thing they could improve on is being more eco friendly. They drop off new towels everyday which is a bit much. Plus there’s lots of bottled water. offering pitchers for the rooms which can be filled up in the lounge would be a more eco friendly solution. Other than that I would highly recommend and will definitely come back again!

Hotel Gion was wonderful! The property is beautiful and centrally located in the old district, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the hotel has thought of everything you could need: PJs, skin care sets, free drinks and snacks, etc. We had a wonderful stay and would come again!

Amazing property. Good free laundry and complimentary drinks in the minibar. Two things to improve: #1the room location, my room was in the first floor and barely didn’t have light #2 no daily housekeeping. The purpose of staying at a hotel is to be removed from your daily chores, that’s why you pay for a hotel instead of an apartment. There wasn’t an option for on request neither. Only housekeeping after 3 nights. I don’t want to change my sheets but I would appreciate to have my bed tidy up.

The spa suite at Hotel Gion Ichirin is such a dream. We loved our room and private spa amenities so much, we barely wanted to leave the hotel. It was walking distance to restaurants, shopping and attractions like Yasaka Shrine. The staff was kind and it felt like we were the only guests there because it was so quiet and we didn’t bump into other guests. It was convenient they had a free washer/dryer machine and I loved getting the matcha latte from the coffee machine in the lobby.

One of the larger rooms in Japan in general.
The staff was amazing, patient, and extremely helpful especially when I needed to send my luggage to an AirBnB in Tokyo instead of lugging it around with me in public transportation.
Super convenient if you want to go to the crowded places in Gion district early in the morning since they are such a short walk from the hotel.

Great, clean hotel that mixes traditional and modern very well. Very attentive staff, free coffee and water bottles in the lobby. Wifi could be improved a bit but you'll spend most of your time exploring the beautiful surrounding area anyway.

We had a lovely stay, a beautiful hotel in a nice quiet spot, but not far from anything. The rooms are beautiful, the space was lovely especially having just come from Tokyo where rooms can be snug. All the amenities you could possibly need, the pyjamas were so nice and comfortable I was gutted I couldn’t purchase them. All the staff are super friendly we always got a very warm welcome! I will definitely stay here again.

We LOVED our room and the hotel as a whole. Our bathroom felt like a spa bathroom with the amazing deep soaking tub and intense water pressure. My only complaint would be that they made housekeeping really inaccessible (had to be requested AND you would have to leave your room for something like 3-5 hours???)This felt kind of extreme and a little cheap for such a wonderful property. Either way I highly recommend this hotel!

Really nice property - we were very happy with the generous bathroom and bedroom size, right in the middle of the Gion area. The room felt luxurious while not being over the top. We had a few free beverages in the fridge and downstairs. The bathroom amenities were very nice as well. Staff was kind and since their recent renovation the entire hotel and our room were all very clean and new with nice design features. Would stay here again without hesitation, no negative aspects!
