年始早々という時期的な事もあり、駐車場が無く、かなり離れた場所に駐車する事となった。
ホテル自体は清潔感がり、スタッフの対応も皆親切で良かった。次回は公共機関で利用をしたい。

チェックインからチェックアウトまで対応が親切でした。近くに地下鉄の乗り場があるのでとても便利です。新婚旅行でこのホテルを選んだのですが、受付のお姉さんから新婚のプレゼントを頂きました。とても感動しました。また京都へ訪れる際はここを利用したいと思います！

駐車場に対する電話案内がイマイチでした。
でも、ホテルに到着し、受付の時にお茶とおしぼりを出してくれ、そんなサービスは今まで無かったので素晴らしかったです。
ホテル内の鉄板焼きが食材からスタッフまで最高級でした。
また是非とも行きたいです。

立地や入り口の佇まい、エントランスなどは良い雰囲気でした。スタッフさんも丁寧にお話ししてくれました。
部屋の壁や柱のキズやエレベーターの狭さ(四、五人でいっぱい)、トイレの狭さなど、少々気になりました。

壁に付けられているハンガー掛け？とハンガーに損傷があった（使用できないほどではないですが）のが気になりました。

京都駅からホテルまで徒歩で約10分の場所にあり、電車の駅やバス停も近いので京都観光するには好立地な場所でした。受付のスタッフのご対応も良く、内観も懐石料理店に近い落ち着いた和テーストのホテルなのでぜひ宿泊されることをオススメします。

This hotel is excellent. They offer complimentary drinks (although I would prefer sweeter wine) the options are great. I like the fact that it is within walking distance from Kyoto Station so it made it very convenient for food and shops. The staffs are friendly and offered us routes and directions. A friend of ours ask where to go to find cherry blossom during non peak season and the staff delivered. We would come back to this hotel when we visit Kyoto again.

Absolutely amazing. I went to Hotel Kanra 2 years ago with my boyfriend, then AGAIN with my mom last year. The staffs here are AMAZING. I've travelled Japan for 3 months and been to every 5 star hotels, ryokans, everywhere- but nothing compares to Hotel Kanra staff's hospitality and professionalism. They remember the every details, and they're so kind and accomodating, I'm definitely going to book this hotel again next time I make a trip to Kyoto. The location is close to the subway station and well located, walkable everywhere. Bed is absolutely comfortable, I slept like a baby all 4 nights. I would praise praise and praise this hotel again!

Hotel Kanra was the best hotel of our stay in Japan. I cannot recommend enough. The rooms are large, very clean and quiet, the bathroom and bathtub are both great. The location is excellent (only a few blocks away from the station and next to a beautiful local monument) and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I wish every hotel could be as nice as this one. The breakfast has a lot of western and Japanese options so it’s easy to try new foods while getting a good meal. The lounge in the front is also a nice retreat after a long day of exploring Kyoto.

Wonderful hotel with nice staff! I loved the lounge with complimentary wine/beer/tea/coffee. however, the pictures led me to believe that they have a spa/sauna/pool area when in fact they only have a small spa for massage appointments which was disappointing.

청수사 금각사 이런데돌기전에 아침에 꼭 들리세요
교토가 풍성해짐. 호텔앞에 무슨 라면집.
오는길에 라면집말고요 호텔 바로옆 편의점 횡단보도 바로 건나면 조그만 라면집.
관광 중심보다 훨 안짜고 싸고 나음.
숙서 일본 느껨나고 괜찮.
조식이 그냥저냥이나 다시오면 여기묵을꾸임

The room was amazing! The tub was used every night after walking 20k steps a day. The employees were always helpful and pleasant and the location was perfect. It was next to everything.

The staff were excellent, every detail in the room was thoughtful, breakfast was better than most restaurants. We dined in the restaurant for dinner - the A5 wagyu was incredible. We would highly recommend this hotel to friends.

Very helpful and pleasant staff throughout stay, an exceptional welcome. The hotel is very clean and serene. There is a lounge area with a small range of good quality drinks, tasteful souvenirs and an area where you can watch a local artisan at work (they were advertising interesting classes at no or low cost but we didn’t participate as itinerary was short). Unable to comment on breakfast but the location is superb - next to a major cultural site and with shops nearby. The room was spacious (deluxe twin) and clean, but was facing a road that could be occasionally noisy at night. As a heavy sleeper (and after 20,000 steps + a day) it didn’t bother too much but could be a bit of an issue for lighter sleepers. Overall very peaceful, well located, great staff and clean.

I had a wonderful time at Kanra. The hotel was very comfortable and tasteful. If I come to Kyoto again. I have no doubt to stay there. We spent four nights and really enjoyed our stay. Location is good too, 1 min walk from Gojo station. What I loved the most was the breakfast buffet. It was amazing.

The room is fantastic. I loved the design, and the bathroom is wonderful. Breakfast was delicious and very diverse, with both Japanese and international options. We had dinner at the hotel one night, and it was excellent. The staff is very warm, friendly, and helpful. A great experience that truly elevated our stay in Kyoto. Highly recommended!

the breakfast buffet was a balanced mix of eastern and western breakfast foods. Everything was fresh and tasty. As for the room, the room I booked had a shower with poor water pressure and the water temperature would change without touching the knob. One of the sinks was also experiencing the same problem. We notified staff who switched us to another room (same type of room) right away and we no longer experienced the water pressure/temperature problem anymore. 10/10 breakfast and 10/10 customer service

We really enjoyed stay at this hotel. The reception ladies are very friendly and we had some welcome tea and snack which are super delicious. Room is clean, warm and functional. They have everything you need and the bath room is awesome. Location good, close to the train station, subway/bus stations and convenience store.

This is my favorite hotel in the world! It's such a beautiful, peaceful oasis in the middle of Kyoto, and an easy walk to Kyoto Station and Nishiki Market. It's right down the block from a subway station as well. The rooms are like little Japanese apartments and have such beautiful decorative touches. The spa is great, as is the high end teppanyaki restaurant.

The staff were friendly but there was a communciation barrier, oftentimes it took a while to get across what we needed or answers to our questions. The hotel was clean and was stocked with amenities. The room looked nice but for what it was priced at, could have been been even better, with more programmes on tv, the sink to be within thw bathroom space.

The hotel is quite close to restaurants and kyoto station. The spa servuce was lovely, thank you to the ladies that provided the service to us.

We don’t even know where to start. Our stay at Hotel Kanra was one of the highlights of our trip. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, the staff actually could not be more helpful even if they tried and the hotel is conveniently located next to the metro station as well as this beautiful huge temple. Our room itself gave us the traditional energy we wanted out of our Kyoto experience while still providing the cushy luxuries we enjoy on vacation. Could not recommend here more and will be recommending friends and family to stay here on their next visit to Kyoto!

This was an excellent hotel. The Japanese style of the rooms was beautiful. Probably the best hotel room of our 2-week stay in Japan. The staff was very helpful and attentive, especially T. Our stay at Hotel Kanra Kyoto was absolutely wonderful. Our room was beautiful, with a serene design that blended modern comfort and traditional Japanese touches — the highlight was the stunning cypress tub, which made every evening feel like a private spa experience.

The staff were incredible: warm, attentive, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Their kindness and professionalism truly made us feel at home.

Simple, comfortable, and incredibly professional

Room was great, felt traditional but very spacious and comfortable. The bath tub in the room was great for soaking after a long day. Hotel staff was super friendly and professional. Didn’t take advantage of the spa service or breakfast but if it’s anything lile the rest of the hotel it’s great. Each floor has wooden gates around your room that really provide a serene and cozy atmosphere. Would definitely stay here again!
