It was a nice hotel, but the kitchen supplies were limited. I wish the sink was a little larger. The supermarket is a 10-minute walk away. I wish they provided drinking water.

京都満喫

隅々の埃が少し気になりましたが、他は快適に過ごせる事ができました。このタイプのホテルズには何度となく宿泊させて頂いておりました。今回とても良かったのはドラム式の乾燥機付き洗濯機でした。
乾燥までの過程で、ゆっくり朝まで快適に過ごせるなんて、最高です。地下鉄駅は遠かったのですがバス停がすぐ側にあり京都駅に行くにも快適でした。
八坂神社、二条城へは徒歩で行ける距離です。
お散歩がてらに行けるなんて素晴らしい限りです。
皆様も是非ご利用頂きたいapartment Hotelです。

赤ちゃんとの宿泊に最適

1歳児の娘を連れての旅行で利用しました。
部屋内の段差がなく娘も部屋の中を歩き回って楽しそうに過ごせていました。
和室の椅子・テーブルもちょうどよい高さで安全です。
また、歩ける距離に二条城があり散歩がてらに遊びに行きました。
また京都を訪れる際は利用したいと思います。

おしゃれでリーズナブル

オーバーヘッドシャワー付きのお風呂や、全自動ウォシュレット、全自動洗濯機、食器付きキッチン等設備が非常に充実しています。部屋はとても綺麗で清潔です。値段もリーズナブルでお勧めです。
駐車場は無いので、近くのコインパーキングを利用しました。
また、この系列のホテルを利用したいと思います。

大満足です。

自家用車で行ったので、駐車場を探すのは少し大変でしたが、 ホテルで地図を用意してくれてあったので助かりました。スタッフの方々はみなさん親切で本当に快適に過ごせました。洗面台の下に少しホコリがたまっていたのと、洗濯機の中にゴミがあったのが気になるぐらいで、あとはとてもきれいに清掃されていました。洗濯洗剤も用意されていました。ホテルから少し歩けば、LAWSONがあり便利です。また、二条城も近く、滞在期間中 七夕祭りを開催しておりとても綺麗でした。京都に行く時は是非利用させていただきたいです。

堀川通りと六角通りの交差する場所に位置します。二条城に近いです。
ホテルでありつつマンションのような滞在型ホテルですので、通常のホテルを想像していた自分はおやっ？と思ってしまいましたが、朝食がない、と言う以外は不便はありません。
全自動洗濯機もついており、連日猛暑で着替えが必要でしたので大変助かりました。
お部屋は広く、清潔間があり、食器類も揃っており、お風呂も広く、まさに自分のお部屋のようにお使いいただけます。
ただひとつだけミスしてしまったのは、自分が悪いのですが朝食がついていないのを確認せず、小さな子供連れの方は注意が必要です。
総合的には良かったと思います。frontの方も親切でした。

宿泊料と、施設のあまりにも乖離した値段設定に驚き呆れました。シティホテルとビジネスホテルの
間に位置するホテルということでしたが施設も安っぽく、アメニティグッズ、バスローブもなく、また台所が付いている割には調理できるものを売っているお店もなく、自販機もありませんでした。当然朝食も付いておりませんでした。周囲にコンビニもありませんでした。

We stayed for two nights at Mimaru Kyoto Nijo Castle and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The level of service we received was exceptional — staff members were consistently friendly, courteous, and always eager to assist with any questions or requests.

We booked the Japanese-style connecting rooms, which were ideal for our family. The rooms were spotlessly clean, thoughtfully designed, and surprisingly spacious, offering plenty of room for everyone to relax comfortably. We especially appreciated the clever layout that provided ample storage space for our suitcases, which helped us keep the rooms tidy during our stay.

The in-room kitchen was another highlight — it was fully functional and well-equipped, allowing us to prepare light meals and snacks for our kids. Having a washer inside the room was a huge bonus, particularly for a family traveling with young children. It added so much convenience and made packing for the trip much easier, knowing we could do laundry on-site.

Overall, Mimaru Kyoto Nijo Castle provided a perfect blend of comfort, practicality, and traditional Japanese charm. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to families or anyone looking for a clean, spacious, and family-friendly hotel in Kyoto.

Located in a quiet residential neighborhood, my son and I found the room tranquil with comfortable beddings and traditional Japanese floor along with modern shower and calming lighting. Staff were friendly and helpful with all our needs. I left a jacket behind which they will help me to ship it back home to the States. I highly recommend this hotel.

Extrem staubige Zimmer. Fingerbreite Staubbildungen auf dem Schrank, wo die Klimaanlage ist. Klimaanlage lässt einen sehr unangenehmen Geruch ab.

Für Allergiker wie mir, ist es der Horror.
Es scheint so, als würden die Zimmer seit Monaten nicht staubfrei sauber gemacht.
Eine Katastrophe.
Sonst ist es ein gutes Hotel mit einem sehr netten Personal. Aber die Putzkraft müsste dringend ausgetauscht werden.

Great stay!

This was great for our family of 5. 2 beds plus tatami/futon mats for the 3 kids which they said were more comfortable than our beds. The dining/sitting area was where beds were setup at night. Very clean and staff were wonderful! We were able to store our luggage and go explore the area until checkin. Also offered to assist with luggage transfer if needed. Located in a great area with the most delicious ramen restaurant a couple of doors down. Would stay here again easily. Walking distance to Nijo castle and other great places.

Just a tiny bit further from the train station than I would have liked (21 weeks pregnant with a toddler, 15-20 minute walk) but we still did tons of sightseeing via train and taxi. We loved the quaint side streets between this hotel and Nishiki market. Bathtub was really high tech, loved it! The apartment was spacious for our family of three and I loved the tatami area.

Excellent stay, recommend for families

Awesome aparthotel - great little apartment, incredibly well-designed and thought out, very clean. Perfect for family (of 4) with fridge-freezer, hob, kettle. Think there was an oven too but we didn’t use it. Could borrow a toaster. Friendly and helpful front desk staff - they helped us book somewhere for dinner.

Only minor issues were that it could be a little noisy at night from traffic on the main road (we were 5th floor) and the washer-dryer did a great job at washing and a truly awful job at drying! Washing was left damp and smelly at the end of drying cycle (not overloaded at all). Re-washed and hung to dry instead and that worked well with the bathroom extractor on (I borrowed an extra airer). So convenient to have your own washer though. Would stay again and recommend. Location was excellent for exploring and eating out - we walked lots of places - nearest underground was maybe 10-15 mins walk.

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. For most sightseeing we had to take public transportation/ Uber/taxi, but all was easily accessible. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. It was in an easy walking area with lots of local long covered malls filled with lots of Japan goodness.

Great little property in Kyoto. It was able to fit our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 teenagers) relatively comfortably. There is additional bedding provided that can make 2 more beds on the ground if needed. The location is convenient to a couple of nearby (less than 5 minute walk) bus stations. We took an uber to the bamboo forest and it was a little over 20 minutes. There is a ridiculously cute breakfast place across the street, but be prepared to wait a long time. Right next to the hotel is another coffee house that serves basic breakfast, and their coffee is all pour-over and takes a long time to make, so don't expect a quick in-and-out for breakfast. Overall, I was pleased with the location, and I would definitely stay again.

Amazing hotel in Kyoto

The Mimaru Kyoto Nijo Castle is an excellent hotel. It's in a very convenient location in Kyoto. Very close to multiple subway stations. The hotel is very modern with everything you need to make your stay amazing such as microwave, stove, fridge, washer and dryer, etc as well as all the high tech Japanese controls.
But what made the stay even more forgettable was the front desk staff. Very accommodating and their hospitality went above and beyond. From check in, to assisting us with luggage transfer to the check out. They were amazing. Thank you so much.

The room was clean pleasant, if just a bit tight for 5 people. Two of the kids liked the experience of sleeping on the tatami mats. Having the laundry machine in our unit was a life saver. The only feedback for the hotel is that the toilet gave off a strange smell the entire stay. I think it was because the tank needed to be cleaned.

A special shout-out goes to Lin, who truly went the extra mile to help me track down a hard-to-find shopping item! My vacations in Japan left me with unforgettable memories. We originally booked a traditional Japanese-style room at this hotel for seven nights but loved it so much that we decided to extend our stay by three more nights. The staff here not only speaks English but are also exceptionally friendly. It’s also convenient to explore nearby Kyoto, Nara, Uji, Otsu, and Osaka from this location.

This was a nice, warm place to stay for our journey. The space itself was clean, efficient and comfortable and the people at reception were wonderful. The bathroom was particularly spacious and comfy. My son loved the free game rentals. The location is a bit out of the way for downtown but any easy walk to stores and restaurants.

As a family of 5, our overall stay at Mimaru Kyoto was great. The location was walkable to many areas we wanted to look at during our stay which was convenient and close to bus stops for the sightseeing that was a little further away. The combined washer/dryer in the room was a godsend, I would put it on most nights when we went to bed and wake up to clean dry clothes.

The staff were very friendly, accommodating and helpful in their local knowledge.

My only negative feedback would be that the beds are very very firm which was uncomfortable for me, there was alot of dust in the room, particularly around the bed head, window and bed base and there was no broom or vacuum etc to clean the floor when our kids spilt food.

However, overall we really enjoyed our stay at the Mimaru Kyoto.

Great hospitality and staff are always willing to help, despite language barrier. They do speak basic English. Very personal since it’s a one way entry and you’d have to pass front desk as you’re leaving and entering. Feels homey.. washer as dryer in unit was extremely convenient and useful, however, do plan ahead. It holds a very small load, extremely small, and takes hours to complete a super small load.. we made it work. Pretty close to Nishiki market and super close to Nijo castle.

Our favorite hotel

This hotel was so clean, and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and wished we stayed at different mimaru in Japan. Zun at the front desk is truly amazing. He went above and beyond to make our trip to Kyoto memorable. It was my sons and my nieces bday week and surprised them with candy and a card. Also, we almost missed our Shinkansen to tokyo but Zun order is a taxi and told the driver exactly where we should be dropped of at the train station. Just wow. We ended up being 10 mins early and was able to grab some snacks for our ride. Chefs kiss!

We recently stayed for two weeks as we explored Kyoto and environs and had a fantastic experience. Clean, well-appointed room, laundry and kitchenette invaluable, shower and soaking tub terrific. Very helpful staff called taxis, recommended a karaoke spot for English speakers, and were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and responsive. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

Very helpful staff. Gave us a great recommendation for dinner (okonomiyaki). Loved that they have a washer/dryer in the room as I did a load of laundry every night. Lovely room with small but equipped kitchen area
clean and quite. Staff really helpful and polite. For us the area was great, close to Nishiki market and good public transport for getting around just a short walk from the hotel. Plenty of restaurants around for all budgets.
