Ich habe lediglich zwei Anmerkungen .. in dieser Preisklasse darf es gern etwas weniger vorgegeben werden, das macht den Eindruck das der Gastgeber seine eigenen Abläufe optimieren möchte. Es passt wohl auch nicht zu dem Anspruch des Hauses wenn man dem Gast nach Chlor schmeckendes Trinkwasser bereitstellt, da sollte bei ca. 1000 USD ein gutes Wasser machbar sein ohne in die Minibar greifen zu müssen. Rooms were lovely and the views were incredible. The staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. We enjoyed the dining and activities on site immensely. A word of caution: the resort is a fair distance away from Kawaguchiko and it was difficult for us to find taxis consistently. So if you plan on staying primarily at the resort it’s not a problem but if you’re a “get out and about” type of traveler be prepared.

Really amazing and restful stay. We stayed for three nights and felt very refreshed after the stay, having experienced the delicious food offered and enjoyable activities (we did the early morning canoeing, aerial stretching and rented a bike to cycle around the lake).

This hotel is not for people squirmish about bugs or those looking for extreme lux. This hotel is for people seeking lush greenery, great views, and taking time to detach and relax.

Whole experience was amazing. Property was in a beautiful setting overlooking Fujisan and lake Kawaguchiko. Service provided by staff was beyond my expectations, care and attention to detail in everything from the check-in experience to organising our meals and activities was excellent.

Property itself is far from Kawaguchiko town, and cannot get off the hotel property without a drive from staff.

This property was fantastic. With inspirational views of Mt. Fuji from every room, to the peaceful surrounding forest, it was exactly what we were looking for, especially after the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. The food was delicious and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. The shabu shabu hot pot dinner on our porch with the view of Mt. Fuji was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had.

The staff were amazing! They greeted us and helped us with our luggage as we were taken to our room. We had a clear view of mt Fuji on our first day as the sky was clear. We had the meat shabu for dinner and it was such a vibe and was definitely worth it. Don’t get the red wine broth shabu tho. It’s an acquired taste. We also ate breakfast at the restaurant available. It was a hike but I think you can call the hotel van to take you up there. the restaurant food selection was ok. The pumpkin soup was the only thing that we liked. On our second morning, we ordered the breakfast bread box which had soup, bread, chicken salad and coffee and rlly hit the spot before we had to check out of our rooms.

Hoshinoya Fuji is just so beautiful and serene. We stayed for two nights and had the most comfortable bed we slept in during our long trip to Japan. Service was very quick and gracious, always there to book a cab for us (no uber in this area) or bring us an in-room curry at the last minute. Donald hooked us up with amazing recommendations for hiking Mt Fuji and Aokigahara Forest. The breakfast and dinner prepared by the hotel were plentiful and delicious. The walls in our room were a little dirty seemingly from people’s suitcases rubbing against them but overall the room was absolutely incredible with a stunning view of Mt Fuji, very quiet and comfortable. There were also outdoor backpacks to rent for free that had things like binoculars, cushions, and little fig/granola type bars in them, which was great so that we didn’t have to use our travel backpacks!

Our favorite feature of this hotel was the patio set up with had a table on it flanked by large cushions and lined with a heated blanket that we fell asleep sitting at the first night! It is the size of a bed and just as comfortable/warm, but outside!! We loved it!

The only things we would change are 1) the shower - it’s a handheld in a bathtub that makes it really easy to spray water all over the bathroom if you’re not careful… maybe just add a normal shower head? The pressure and temperature were great though. And 2) an outdoor hot tub! 😆

Tranquil, relaxing stay with nature and views

My favourite stay ever! If you like somewhere quiet, with some tranquility, relaxation and nature, this is perfect. The view of Mt Fuji with the kotatsu under the night sky made this so memorable. However, keep in mind that the location is remote, so is more ideal as a stay within the properties. You can get a taxi in and out, but can be a bit of a hassle.

I recently had the privilege of staying at HOSHINOYA Fuji, and I can say with absolute certainty that it was a truly life-changing experience. From the breathtaking views to the exquisite attention to detail, every moment spent here was unforgettable—but what made it truly special was the kindness of the staff.

A special thank you to the individual who delivered my cheese and fruit platters and wine on February 10, 2025. The genuine kindness, warmth and care in her service made it feel like more than just a meal—it was a gesture of hospitality that spoke volumes.

That same evening, I had the pleasure of sitting and speaking with her during the movie screening. That simple act of connection, of shared conversation and kindness, was a highlight of my stay. It’s rare to find such heartfelt engagement, and I am deeply grateful for that moment. Truly made this Canadian in a foreign place, feel welcome and calm. I. Alignment with the beautiful scenery!

HOSHINOYA Fuji is not just a destination; it is an experience of tranquility, beauty, and human connection. The staff here don’t just provide service—they create memories, and for that, I cannot thank them enough. 房間就能看到富士山，視野無死角。
因為遠離市區，所以出行不方便，建議自駕，因為計程車也不好叫，即使有觀光巴士，因為車程和等候也是不小的時間。
如果要離開星野富士則需要打電話同之前台接自己下山，他們會詢問是否需要幫你訂計程車。
山下就是自然生活館，如果搭乘周遊巴士，可以選擇自然生活館下車，步行10分鐘即可抵達接待中心。
附近僅有自然生活館，要便利商店的話建議在其他地方買完再來飯店。
Main dinner適合飲食習慣較健康的族群，room service晚餐的壽喜燒牛肉非常好吃，建議搭配他的tororo沾著吃，tororo是用山藥長芋等打成黏稠狀的食物，配著吃不膩。晚餐的話服務人員會在1個半小時後來收拾。
如果你想好好享受假期不是追行程的話，一直在飯店裡其實很舒適，早上有森林伸展（免費）煮咖啡（免費）有自制香精（免費）劈柴體驗（免費）下午茶(免費）這些可以享受。最高處的library cafe可以讓你很放鬆的享受時光

It is very beautiful place snd it would be 100% relaxing if there will be more flexibility with booking restaurants and other activities. We stayed three nights and were unable to go to restaurant of our choice. Otherwise, staff was very friendly and helpful, view of Mt. Fuji from balcony was wonderful when weather was right.

Location of hotel is excellent for full view of Mt Fuji. However, it may be tricky to locate if you are taking public transport. Staff are friendly and service is excellent. Not for travellers who are in a rush. Take time to enjoy the peace, tranquil and refresh oneself.

The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately the 1 day/2 nights we spent here were rainy days. Our canoe experience was cancelled of course. And after half a days time, we felt very restless and a bit trapped. The compound overall is quite small. We thought we could take a hike in the drizzle but there were not any paths through the trees, as advertised on their map. We walked up and down the compound (a lot of stairs) to find a trail but the trails were either blocked off (due to rain) or non-existent. No trails were clearly marked.

To get in and out of the compound you need to ask the staff to drive you a short distance to a lower parking lot area, where then you would have to call a cab to go "into town". Given that we were there for a such a short time and had a scheduled dinner and 1 mid-day activity (the smoking workship), it didn't make sense for us to make the trek out of the compound.

The smoking workshop was not so much of a "workshop" but a quick 15 min. demonstration of woodchips, tabletop smoker, with a charcuterie board. It left much to be desired.

The in-room shabu shabu and sukiyaki was delicious and the highlight of our stay. I do wish however, the vegetable pairings were different for the two meals but I understand that it's local ingredients. Eating on the balcony under the heated blanket was also the most unique experience of Hoshinoya.

We also never got to see Mt. Fuji due to the weather.

對熱愛大自然的人，整體不錯，酒店在森林之中，享有很美的富士山景色，房間整潔實用，酒店很多設施都在戶外，惡劣天氣下，例如下雨，或寒冷，就無法使用，另外洒店位於山中，來回房間及餐廳或其他設施都要走樓梯，小朋友或老人家都要注意。自駕遊，不能夠直達酒店，要迫車在山下的酒店接待處。

Amazing stay experience with the breathtaking view of Lake Kawaguchi and the magnificent Mt. Fuji from your room literally in and out.
The room was tidy and spacious with the ceiling tall window and the comfortable terrace sofa. The staff and the service was very friendly, approachable yet has a first class detailed hospitality. The property was highly designed well on how you spend the time in both in the room and in the woods by the nature. Definitely recommend for any group if any age!!

We felt happy enjoy with the warm and thoughtful services and the smiley face with all the staff. Especially the surprise cake and the flame photo for my birthday, it felts so sweet!

Despite it being cloudy and rainy during our entire stay and not being able to actually see Mt. Fuji, we had a fantastic time at Hoshinoya. It's truly a unique experience and worth every penny in my opinion. The facilities were top notch and staff couldn't have been more pleasant. The food, while definitely on the more expensive end, was very well prepared. I hope to come back someday to actually see Mt. Fuji!

We had an amazing night stay at Hoshinoya Fuji during our 2 week trip to Japan!!!
We travelled from Hiroshima - taking the Shinkansen to Tokyo then Chuo Line to Ōtsuki and then the Fujiku Railway to Kawaguchi Station and a taxi to the hotel reception.
We picked a backpack each (containing binoculars, water bottle, pillow, head torch and biscuits) and were driven to our cabin where we were provided with tea and an overview of the hotel services and facilities.
We ordered the “Glamping Curry” for dinner which we ate on our balcony overlooking Fujikawaguchiko, and then the “Morning Box” for breakfast with clear views to Mt Fuji.
We were worried when we arrived that we may not see Fuji because of the cloud cover but by the morning we had a clear unobstructed view (worth waking early!).
The cabins are clean and modern. The staff were lovely and accommodating.
There were a great number of complimentary activities (such as water colour painting and afternoon sweets) and others which were additional charges if
you were so inclined (such as pizza making and canoeing).
Lots of stairs but don’t let that deter you.
Overall a memorable experience which was worth the extra $$$ for a night of luxury overlooking Mt Fuji.
