ｽﾀｯﾌの対応も良く気持ちよく宿泊できました。妻が加湿器も綺麗に清掃されていたので喜んでいた。細かな所まで清掃されている証拠。食事も個室対応で、丁寧な説明・提供され、とても美味しかったです。内風呂もかけ流しなので、4回も入り心身ともにﾘﾌﾚｯｼｭできました。

上品なお宿です。
スタッフの皆様も最高。
館内がとてもいいにおい。
ロビーには暖炉があって、夜、ロビーにあるお酒を飲みながらひたすら火を見ながらぼーっとするのも最高でした。

美味しすぎて、帰ってから通販で買ってしまいました。

大浴場は改装？で入れないのは知ってましたが、部屋の露天風呂で大満足なので気になりませんでした。
ひとつ難点を言うならば、子供オッケーなので、
部屋の露天風呂を使う他の部屋の子供達の声がうるさく、静かさが阻害されるところです。
子供には楽しくないと思いますし、ここまで高級宿でしたら子供NGにしてほしかったです。

今回で二度目の宿泊です。
関わる全てのスタッフの方々の丁寧な対応…清潔に整えられた部屋。そして今回も、感動するほどのお食事…。最後の最後まで、リピートしたいと思えるお宿でした。他のところはもう行けないね、と話しながら帰宅しました。評価が良くて沢山の人に予約されると行きたい時に行けなくなるから困るなんて思うほどです。

金額的にもう少し頑張ってもらいたい施設

建物は以前の会社の保養所を改装しました的な感があります、全体的には宿泊費なりの感じです。
各部屋に露天風呂が併設されてますが、大浴場が残念です。宿にこだわりがあるのなら大浴場も手を入れてもと思います。保養所そのまます。脱衣所のタオル置き場の前の壁には大きな黒カビがそまま(早急に改善必要)浴場も白檀コンセプトの格差がありすぎです。全く普通過ぎです。浴場鏡が汚すぎです。備品で出なくハード面です。
食事は夜・朝共に美味しく頂けました。担当の方もとてもよく対応をしていただきました。初めて車で行ったのでが、小涌園裏道路より入る時に白檀の看板が小さすぎです。
全体的にプライベート感はありました。
当日雨でした傘での迎え到着時の対応の良さ、夜のフリードリンク・朝のモーニング・スパークリングとおしゃれな要素もあります。
あと少し頑張って頂きたいお宿でした
雨でしたが素敵な時間を過ごす事が出来ました。

両親、娘と利用しました。
お食事が少ないという口コミが目に付いたのでそのつもりでしたが、とても満足する量でお味もとても良かったです。
娘の子供セットも、ありがちな冷食でなくきちんと作られたボリュームある内容でとても良かったです。
朝食の席で温め直しながらいただく干物がパサついてしまっていたのが気になりました。
ロビーやお部屋の飲み物のサービスがかなり気前が良くて内容も良く、充実していたのが嬉しかったです！
真新しい綺麗さはなくても清潔にされていて滞在していて癒されました。
また家族で利用したいと思います。

全てにおいて最高でした！
大涌谷駅が閉鎖されたため、桃源台駅からバスと登山鉄道に乗り継いで小涌谷の駅に辿り着いてから宿に電話してお迎えをお願いしようと思ったところ、白檀の車が駅にありました。宿泊者だと説明をしましたら、すぐに宿まで乗せてくれました。サービス、食事、温泉...大満足でした。また泊まりに行きたいと思います。本当にありがとうございました。

とてもくつろげていいお宿でした。

あいにくの雨でしたが、とてもゆっくりと過ごすことができました。
91歳の義母が一緒だったのですが、食事もいろいろと気を遣っていただき有り難かったです。部屋に露天風呂がついていたのですが、結構熱めでした。水で薄められたので問題はなかったですが、最初少し驚きました(笑)
館内もとても綺麗で、特に入ってすぐ右側のラウンジはとても居心地のいい空間でした。
晴れた日にもまた行ってみたいと思いました！飲み物の準備などもあってとても良かったです。
義母もまた行きたいと言っていたので、また連れていってあげたいなと思っています。

間違えるなら聞けばよいのに、なになに様ですね、って他人の名前呼ばれても嬉しくないです。一番よい部屋に泊まってる優越感が吹き飛びました。

口コミでは、お部屋が狭いとありましたが、返って便利でした。感じ方でしょうが、、
全16室なので大浴場も空いていて清潔です。
何よりアメニティがミキモトであったことやその他完備されていてとても良かったです。
飲み物もラウンジ横のカウンターにフリーで頂けることもポイントが高い。
館内やお部屋の白檀の香りに癒されました。
再訪ありです。

部屋とラウンジが居心地がよく、
ラウンジは夕食後に、もう少し飲みたい方や
ゆっくりしたい方向けにアルコールやコーヒーなどがフリー。朝は7:00-9:00まで、スパークリングワインがフリーで、ゆっくりできた。
周りには、何もないので、
周りを散策というよりは、
宿でゆっくりするかんじ。

朝食、夕食は、量も多すぎず、丁度良かった。

先日1泊2日で滞在してきました。
到着からチェックアウトまでとてもハートフルな接客をして頂きました。
お部屋も想像通り、最高なお部屋でした。食事も夜も朝も美味しかったです。
夕食の後の飲み物のサービスなども良かったです。お値段も安くありませんが、自信を持ってオススメできる素敵なお宿です。

保養施設を改築しただけあって、最初はお部屋が思ったより狭い感じがしたが、スタッフの方の気持ち良い接客で、帰る時には清々しい思いが出来ました。
小さい旅館なので、大浴場も施設内もゴミゴミしている感がなく、それも良かったです。お食事は完全個室なので、子供連れでも他に遠慮がなくそれも良かったです。

露天風呂付きの部屋を利用しました。部屋付きの風呂は源泉掛け流しでよかったのですが、大浴場は狭さを感じました。ただ、身体を洗うシャワースペースは手狭でした。食事は和風旅館として量は満足できましたが、質は５点満点で４ぐらいでした。酒が高く、吞みながら食事を楽しむ身としてはややきつかったです。周囲にはこれといった観光場所もないため、部屋付きの露天風呂を楽しめるかが、評価の分かれ目でしょうか。

From the moment we arrived at Hakone Gora Byukadan, my husband and I were blown away by the warm hospitality and exceptional service that made our stay truly unforgettable. The space is beautiful and exceeded all of our expectations.

A special thank you to Saki, who went above and beyond to make our stay even more memorable. Not only did she host our dinner and breakfast with grace and attentiveness, but she also surprised us with a wonderful handmade card celebrating both my husband's birthday and our honeymoon. Her thoughtful touch made our visit feel incredibly personal and special.

We also want to extend our thanks to the front desk team for ensuring we had everything we needed, including organizing a car for our departure and the sweet treats for our special occasion. And a heartfelt shoutout to the
wonderful driver who picked us up from the train station and dropped us off– it was these small gestures that made us feel so well taken care of throughout our stay.

The accommodations were luxurious, great mikimoto products, nice bedding-offering both comfort and tranquility. The food was absolutely exquisite – each meal was a work of art and a true reflection of the rich culinary traditions of the area. Every detail was meticulously attended to, making us feel pampered and valued every moment of our stay.

In one word…stunning. An experience not to be missed. I don’t know where to begin with my praise-the staff, the facilities or the food? All impeccable. The staff made us feel like their most special and honored guest anticipating every need. The facilities are amazing. Room was beautiful as was the view of the mountains. Finally the food. Wow. The most delicious, delicately prepared food. A true experience. I bravely ate sashimi for the first time and enjoyed the pen shell! All dishes were explained in great detail and lovingly prepared. I’ve always wanted to visit a ryokan when in Japan and knew that for my first trip, it was a must have. Did a lot of research on the different ryokans in the Hakone area but settled on Byakudan as it included a kaiseki dinner breakfast with our stay as well as had a private onsen for every room since my partner has tattoos.

I was super concerned about how to access the property, but coming from the Tokyo Ginza region, it wasn’t actually that bad. It was extremely foggy the day we arrived but I could not find fault with how beautiful the ryokan is (also got a beautiful, sunny view the next morning). Absolutely stunning in person and everything smells so pleasantly of their namesake, sandalwood. The staff is so attentive in everything from giving a full room tour to letting you choose what times you’d like to dine at. Dressing up in the provided yukata was so fun and they had so many complimentary snacks, drinks, and amenities for us. We had a western style Tsuyu room on the first floor so the private onsen area was pretty, serene, and blocked from others with a tall fence.

The meals were so good. It was some of the prettiest and tastiest food I’ve ever eaten, both dinner and breakfast. Even the snacks were amazing (you can bring some home)! They take into account allergies and food preferences. Overall, I can’t believe the experience I received here. It was healing. Definitely the highlight of my trip. This memory will be so special and I already can’t wait to be back.

Hakone Gora Byakudan was easily the highlight of our Japanese anniversary adventure. From the moment you step inside this ryokan you are whisked away to a sanctuary of relaxation and calmness. Every detail is considered, even the check-in experience where you are invited to enjoy fresh matcha and Japanese sweets while the details of your stay are reviewed with you. I was hoping for a room with mountain views but everything was booked up so we originally had booked with another onsen. Finally a cancellation allowed us to book a room on a lower floor with a garden view and it was perfect and so serene.

After traveling for a week in Japan, my entire body hurt from head to toe. Five minutes in our private onsen melted every ache and pain away. I also highly recommend utilizing the spa services. The facial I received was incredibly relaxing, so much that I drifted off halfway through! The 10 course kaiseki dinner featured multiple dishes in each course and considered both of our eating restrictions. Getting to grate my own fresh wasabi was really cool. The nihonshu (sake) we ordered was served in gorgeous glass vessel and matching glasses. I was delighted to see I could bring a set back to enjoy at home. The Western style bed was definitely the most comfortable bed of our entire trip. This experience was transformative and one I will never forget. Do not hesitate to book this ryokan with onsen if you can find availability.

Everything was expected for the price I had paid. When we arrived it was pouring and the staff readily helped us with our luggages when we parked. The food was good and having a private onsen was a treat. They have public one available if needed and all amenities are included. During the evening and early they had happy hour. In the evening they had snacks during happy hour after dinner time. They also had an area with massage chairs and ice cream/tea for refreshments. When we had a question the staff tried their best to help us. The view from the main floor was amazing on a nice sunny day and overall we had a relaxing experience here. The hotel really tries to make you feel comfortable during your stay throughout the whole hotel.

It takes a while to reach the Hakone Gora Byakudan via public transportation. Free shuttle is available from Kowakudani station. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The ryokan has rooms with beautiful view and private onsen. The public onsen was also quiet and peaceful. Dinner and breakfast was amazing and my husband was able to enjoy his gluten free meals. Service was excellent. If we ever go back to Japan, we would definitely visit this Ryokan again. This ryokan only has a handful of rooms available, so make sure you book well in advance if interested :)

It’s been a great experience with this hotel. Food is fabulous, service is great, in room onsen is very relaxing and enjoyable. Most importantly, this hotel is very children friendly, my 8-year old boy LOVE it. There was the kid menu with big portion and tasty. The hotel provided pick up service from Gora station which is very helpful. I will definitely revisit again.

The hotel is beautiful, clean and feels new. As you step into the hotel, you will feel transported to a serene and peaceful space!

The staff are super nice, attentive, and takes great care of you - you can feel that they put a lot of heart into what they do, and they speak good English too!

The rooms are the perfect blend of traditional Japanese and modern comfort. Of course, the private onsen in our room is super lovely! We stayed at the rooms “Ken” and “Jin” for our honeymoon and both are great.

Would also like to add that the food is great too!

Will definitely want to be back again!

MANに宿泊しました。お部屋は文句なし、専用の露天風呂からの景色も良く、お湯の質も最高で、大満足です。

施設はコンパクトですが、ロビーは天井が高く見晴らしが良いです。開放感もあります。サービスのコーヒーやお酒を飲みながら、部屋以外の場所でも快適な時を過ごせました。

今回母の還暦祝い旅行でしたので、事前に施設にその旨を伝えて、夕食の時に色々ご協力頂き、良い思い出を作ることが出来ました。また記念日などの特別な日に、是非泊まらせてもらいたいと思っております。この度はありがとうございました。

Great Place to Stay

The room was spacious and clean. We enjoyed the in room onsen specially in the early morning when everything was quiet. The food was traditional Japanese and the service was excellent. We thought we would get to eat in the room since there was a table in our room (Michi) but we were told both dinner and breakfast would be served at the restaurant. We had a little section just to ourselves but we would have probably enjoyed having it in room like other Ryokans we have encountered. Overall the experience was special.

A relaxing vocation

Actually, the location is close to the bus stop. It is easy to find. And the facilities in this hotel are fairly good. The staffs are helpful and willing to serve. Most of them are carrying smiling face. The spring water is very good. If you want to enjoy a relaxing vocation, it is a good choice for you.
