優れたデザイン性と快適さが、最高の一晩を演出してくれました。

独り旅で利用。バルコニー付きの部屋を取りました。一人にしては大きすぎて逆に寂しさが募るということにならないかなと不安もありましたが、この旅をゆったりと贅沢にしたかったので予約しました。案内されて部屋を見て、大きすぎるのではというのは杞憂にしかすぎず、適度な広さのように感じました。そしてとにもかくにもそのデザインの素晴らしさに目を奪われるばかりでした。海外製のソファーやチェアーもすこぶる心地よく、視覚的な調和具合も素晴らしい。間接照明も心地よく計算されており、この部屋を特別なものへにしていました。

また調度品の全てがこだわり抜かれたものであり、デザインの良さだけでなく、使いやすさや性能も優れたものでした。例を一つ挙げるならダイソンのヘヤードライヤー。いつもお願いしている美容師がダイソンを使うべしと強く勧めていた理由がわかりました。
因みにこの宿泊施設には鍵がありません。全ては自分で設定した暗証番号によって、施設や部屋に出入りするようになっています。先に宿泊代を支払っておけばチェックアウトの必要もありません。省人化のための施策でしょうが、戸惑いもなく、使う方としても合理的に感じました。

ロビーの壁一面に飾られているのは、選りすぐりのスペシャルアイテムと称されるもの。調理道具からステレオやコーヒーメーカーまでが無料で借りれられるようになっています。そんなサービスがあることをつゆ知らずでしたが、使ってみたかったHarman Kardon SOUNDSTICKS Bluetoothスピーカー が壁に飾ってあることを発見。借りることにしました。重低音だけでなく、音の再現性も申し分なくロックからジャズまで楽しむことがでぎした。ピアノの高音部やドラムのブラシまで気持ちよく再現され、久しぶりにご近所さんを気にせずに音楽を堪能。あまりの心地よさから、かなりの夜更かしへと発展してしまいました。

ベットはメーカー名を確認しませんでしたが、寝心地もとても良かったです。たたベットは一段高くなったところに備え付けてあるので、間違ってスネを強打しないように。わたしは勢い余って２度もぶつけてしまいました。また壁はコンクリートなので、ベットに滑り込む際に頭を強打しないように。暗闇の中、わたしは手ひどく強打しました。

ホテルのスタッフは大概若い方でした。星四つにしたのは、案内してくれた男性に笑顔が足りなかったことですが、まだ経験も足りないことによるもので決してサービスが悪いことではありません。多くは若い女性スタッフで、感じの良い笑顔がありました。プロフェショナルはありませんが、わたしには初々しく感じました。

当初地図を見た時、九条のほうが近いのか判然としませんでしたが、京都駅に思っている以上に近く、まったく不都合を感じませんでした。

レジデンス扱いに近いのか朝食はありません。当初近所のお洒落なカフェでゆっくり朝食を取るつもりでいましたが、この部屋でゆっくり朝食を取る以上の贅沢はないなと理解し、近くでパンとコーヒーを買ってゆっくり朝食を楽しみました。

高級ホテルは泊まったことありませんが、海外でもなるべくお洒落でコンフォタブルなホテルやレジデンスを選んできたつもりですが、この22 piecesのデザインと快適性は、一番といっても過言ではありません。

なおホテルの周辺をお散歩。まさに昭和そのものの、懐かしく慎ましい佇まいの家がいくつもあることに感動しました

隠れ家的大人な滞在！

京都駅からも比較的近くで、隠れ家的ホテルでした。
ファミリー向けではなく、夫婦やカップル向きで滞在しやすいと思います。
またフロントの方は素敵な笑顔で対応してくださり、滞在翌日は雨の予報でしたが、
雨でも観光しやすい場所を丁寧にお話してくださりました。
気持ちのいい滞在になりました。

The front desk folks were always helpful and made our stay enjoyable.

The location is amazing as it was close to the Aeon shopping mall, which also has a grocery store within it. The hotel is also close to the Kyoto train station, which again is a great perk.

Our hotel room was just as great as everything else. We had a kitchen, bathtub and shower, and the room was sizable to comfortably fit our family of four.

We like the hotel so much that we suggested to our friends to stay here as well, on their next trip out to Kyoto.

Unassumingly Great

Fantastic stay at 22 pieces. The staff was young and energetic, ready to help in every aspect from check in to check out. Within a few blocks from Kyoto station. This is not your typical hotel. It was a much more relaxed feel with a group of down to earth young enthusiastic staff that made you feel welcomed and served. I’m not sure if complimentary umbrellas are a norm in Japanese hotels but that little added touch was such a welcomed surprise and added a simple touch but a huge need with the on again off again rain on our visit to Kyoto. On top of that they let me use their tool kit to fix my suit case that was in need of repair. Very unique and I would highly recommend it.

Great location to Aeon Mall and Kyoto station. Hotel room larger than the standard hotel, great tub to soak in and hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. Marina help us get a taxi(she spoke Japanese & Spanish) explained to the cab driver our destination is the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest-got us there. Marina also mention their sister hotel - 20 Pieces also located in Kyoto will stay there on our next trip to Kyoto. 22 Pieces is in a quiet neighborhood with low rise homes narrow streets close to 711 & Family Mart. Room is equip for cooking. No staff from 11pm to 8am. Must get ice from staff before 11pm. My family of 3 gave 22 Pieces 6 thumbs up. Mahalo!!

The things we enjoyed most about 22 Pieces was the size and design of the room and the helpful, friendly and efficient staff. We stayed in a terrace room which, complete with outdoor area, was very spacious for a family of 4. Also loved the modern design aesthetic of the room. Staff were excellent. A good location for first time Kyoto visitors doing the tourist sights but quite a long way from good restaurants and bars. Surrounding gardens are in need of some attention.

Fantastic, and best of all big room for 3 people. Everywhere else in Kyoto for 3 people is a small cramped room. No 22 pieces delivers, and exceeds. Offering massive room, high end bathroom, kitchen with amenities and many things to rent for free for your room like a projector, speaker etc. Room has touchless keypad entry so no room key, extra pillows and blankets in the room and if you need a towel they have it set up next to the front desk. The room also has drinking water from the tap and a dining table. Overall 10/10 for me.

常常來京都旅遊，第一次發現22片飯店，想說訂看看。
我們一共住四個晚上，房間空間超大，舒適等級不輸高級飯店喔！
整體真棒要自己來體驗，大浴室也可以泡澡，重點是很大喔！
飯店隔壁又是當地的澡堂，可以去體驗看看喔！
服務人員也很貼心服務熱誠，推薦大家京都住看看。

Our room was immaculate and the staff very helpful and professional. Within walking distance of the hotel is the Kyoto train station to the north and a shopping mall with a grocery store to the west. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Gorgeous hotel within 5 minute walk from Kyoto Station. We (2 adults and 2 kids) stayed in a spacious room with a balcony and kitchenette. Everything was clean and new. It was a pleasure to stay there.

We really enjoyed staying at 22 Pieces. We are a family of 4, with 2 grown teens. We just needed a place to sleep with enough beds since we were out exploring all day. We booked 3 nights and added another 2 nights here, as we did day trips from Kyoto. The property was clean, quiet and within 5 min to Kyoto station.

Wow, what a wonderful find! My family and I enjoyed every minute spent in this hotel. It is located very close to the Kyoto station so we were able to get around quiet easily via train & bus. There are a lot of restaurants and shopping nearby as well. The room itself is modern, spacious, clean and comfortable.. with a very nice balcony.
However, the best feature is the hotel staff. They went out of their way to take care of us. After checking out, the staff called to let us know that we had left our ipad in the room. They immediately shipped the ipad to our stay in Tokyo. We received the ipad two days later. They also spent time carefully and intricately wrapping the device. =) We will most definitely stay a this hotel in the future. I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kyoto.

excellent staff and stay

excellent friendly staff. very good with english. a lot of free items you can borrow during your stay (ie iron and board, coffee equipment, cameras and a whole lot more). spacious rooms. i recommend you take the bus from kyoto station to aeon mall kyoto. from there property will just be a few steps away. i would definitely book this property again.

The hotel was nice but the bed too soft… cupboard too small and to walk to Kyoto station, a bit far and quiet at night.. They have microwave and toaster and can cook in the room.
Overall ok… staffs were nice.

This property is PERFECT for families. Our room was huge , clean and very well designed. It was a mix of the traditional Japanese ryokan style (low/futon beds) with a modern, sophisticated touch ie.exposed concrete and timber. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen facilities are adequate if you want to cook yourself. The location is down the road from the kyoto train station, good restaurants and a huge shopping mall (Aeon). Just superb. Our favourite stay throughout or whole trip.

We booked a studio with a dining table. The room was huge and extremely comfortable with all the amenities you need - plus more with the availability of items to rent at no charge e.g. the Dyson air styler, cooking utensils. Dyson hairdryers are standard in the rooms too. It was perfect for us after a long day of sightseeing to stretch out, it honestly felt like a luxurious apartment rather than a standard hotel. Teresa was wonderful, so kind and polite too (thanks!)

Location - only a 5 minute walk to Kyoto station and 10 minutes to the bus stop that takes you direct to Gion. 7-11 is 2 minutes away, otherwise the supermarket and an abundance of restaurants are within 5 minutes too.

I have already recommended 22 Pieces to my friends. Well done on such a great hotel.
