和室を利用させていただきましたが、清潔なお部屋で、静かに過ごすことができました。

翌日登山のため朝食をお弁当に変更お願いしましたが、早朝発にもかかわらず快くご準備いただきどうもありがとうございました。
おにぎりは大きく、おかずもたくさん入っていて、とっても美味しくいただきました。

オーナーご夫婦がとても感じが良く、気持ちよく利用することができました。
お世話になりどうもありがとうございました。

ホテルのオーナーさん夫婦？が本当に良い方で、周辺のレストランをたくさん丁寧に教えて頂きました。朝ごはんはホテルで食べましたが、美味しすぎて夜ご飯も付けたら良かったと後悔しました。ワンチャンが2匹いて、お見送りをして頂きました。犬が好きで厚かましく10分ぐらいもふもふしてましたが、オーナーさんも丁寧に対応して頂き、雨の旅行が本当に良い思い出となりました。冬に白馬へ来たら絶対ここに泊まろうと、ここしか泊まらない！と思えるほどステキな時間でした。

ガレットの朝食

建物の古さは感じられるものの感じの良い対応でした。
ガレットの朝食はとても良かったです。7歳の息子も喜んで食べてました。翌日はオムレツでこれも完食。ゆっくりとした朝を過ごす方にはお勧めです。

This is a great location for accessing the mountains and enjoying the snow. There are both public and private onsens on site, the manager is lovely and helpful and the drying room for your winter equipment is also great. I have nothing but great memories :-)

I had a traditional Japanese room. It was super comfortable - and the view from my window of Happo One was beautiful! It was convenient walk to restaurants and bars. The Happo One gondola was a bit of a hike - but definitely within easy walking distance is the Hakuba Happo bus station. Easy to get to other mountains via the shuttle.

We had a pleasant stay at the Ougiya for two nights' skiing. It's a no-frills kind of place, which was fine for our needs. The room was a decent size, the onsen was good and the overall ambience was pleasant. It is an easy walk from the bus stop with various dining options and ski rental in the village. One thing to note is that although it's billed as 'ski-in ski-out', it isn't - you have to walk a few minutes to the nearest rental shop then take a shuttle bus from there to whichever slope you want to go to. This was not a major issue, it's just that the description on Expedia is not quite accurate. All in all, good value for an end-of-season ski trip.

We arrived to Hakuba Hotel at 3pm (the posted check-in time). However, there was no one at the front desk for 2 hours. We waited 30 minutes, then decided to leave our bags in the lobby to go out and grab some food and rent skis. When we finally got checked in, we brought our bags to our Japan style room in the hotel's annex building. It was nice at first to hear the annex was connected through an underground tunnel, however, the tunnel was filled with mold. You could see black mold in the ceiling tiles, a bucket was on the ground to catch a water leak, and the carpet tiles were all clearly pulling up due to moisture below. Our room itself seemed relatively clean, but our tatami mat bed rolls had stains all over them and our room included extra pillows, but no pillow cases. We ended up using t-shirts and towels to cover the pillows. The front desk told us that they don't provide room cleaning throughout our stay unless we request it, however, it's hard to request a room cleaning when there is never anyone at the front desk. The breakfast was not good, we found ourselves picking away at certain things that seemed good enough to eat. We were so uncomfortable in this hotel that we decided to leave early and move to a different accommodation for the last two nights. When I explained this to the front desk and requested a refund, they provided zero help. I truly do not understand how Hakuba Hotel has such good reviews, I would highly recommend not staying here.

Staff can communicate in basic english, my traditional room did not disappoint, clean and well done up morning buffet. Can walk to any restaurants, grocery stores and of course the chair lift.

Liked the concept with beds on the floor and the room was big. Great breakfast and very nice straff. They also had a lovely Onsen. The hotel was on walking distance to the skiarea Happo One (aprox 1 km). If you wanted to go to Hakuba 47 the bus stop was right outside of the hotel with free shuttle service!

Had a great stay here, it’s a bit further from the happo one lifts if your snowboarding but the onsen was great, staff were great and the breakfast was awesome.

Convenient and reasonable

Good convenient stay. The hotel is getting a bit old but overall we had a good stay. Check in and out very efficient. Ok breakfast with a served plates plus some bread etc buffet style (some more selection would be good), a nice little hotspring and a very good location for skiing and ski storage/drying room. Conveniently located near Hakuba center.
Some refresh of the rooms and facilities would be good but this is quite minor. I think it would also be good if they do some basic room cleaning every two days or so.
Would I stay again? Yes

A Japanese style hotel with western influences. Owner has a cute King Charles cavalier. 5mins walk to happo one bus terminal. The shuttle bus to hakuba47 stops right in front of hotel.
One bad thing is the hotel doesn’t have hair conditioner provided.
Private bathroom in my Japanese style room didn’t have heated seats
Another bad thing is there were Americans drinking beer in the onsen.

Wonderful Japanese Experience, Great Skiing

Amazing experience if looking for a true Japanese lifestyle holiday, Onsen, sleep on the floor futon on tatami mats......
Great location within walking distance of restaurants and resorts. Shuttle bus pick up for two of the major resorts at the door.
Family run business with great support for visitors.

Gd location, right to the downtown. Full of restaurants nearby, 10 mins walk to bus terminal and the shuttle bus to ski area. Only problem s hotel is divided into old and new building, if the room s at the old building, need to a long walk w lots of stairs to the new building which is the restaurant and onsen located at.

My opinion is that this hotel I not worth the money even it’s a cheap hotel. The toilets was in poor condition and the hygiene was bad. The only positive thing about this hotel is that its close to the skiing slopes

I was delighted with this hotel. Family owned, the people running it are absolutely lovely and did everything they could to make our stay comfortable. The breakfasts were nice and ample, the facilities fantastic with a proper drying room for ski/snowboarding equipment and it is very close to the Mount shuttle stop for runs to both all the Happa slopes. There is even an onsen in the basement. Really really was happy with choosing this place and was very comfortable. Would definitely stay again. We stayed in a Japanese style triple, room 405 (there are only, I think, about 18 rooms in the hotel. Great stay and felt very well cared for.

This was such a cute property, and it's family-owned. They were so nice. It's a 5-minute walk to the bus terminal and also the shuttle pickup point to the Happo One ski resort. Get the breakfast option so that you don't have to think about it and just hit the slopes afterwards. The onsen was amazing. They can shuttle you to the JR rail station if you request it.

Nice place

Really liked this hotel. Nice onsen in the basement. Great breakfast and lovely room with view over the mountains. Stayed in a few hotels in Hakuba and this is by far the best value.

交通便利、员工友善

离白马八方车站只有几百米，离雪场缆车也只有不到一公里，不想走的话离雪场免费巴士停靠点一分钟，房间在日本应该算比较大，温泉非常舒服，早餐丰富，员工很尽心回答问题，不豪华但比较舒心的一家旅店

Excellent Great base for Skiing!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A great location. The staff were very caring, friendly and accommodating. Assisted in retrieving a mobile phone left in the taxi and put a humidifier in our room for our sick daughter. We will definitely be back!

Hands down, great place (royakan) to stay.

Cozy, clean and friendly staff. The view from floor 5 was beautiful. The breakfast is great! We were not a big fan of the set course dinner, but others could be. They have a bus stop right outside to get to Hakuba 47 and a natural hot spring in the hotel to enjoy after a long day on the mountain. We love bed it so much we stayed and extra night!

Nice conveniently located Japanese hotel in Happo

A nice and quiet family run Japanese style hotel in the happo area. We enjoyed the onsen very much, it was clean and soothing. Woody ski rental is just around the corner and hotel guests get 10% discount. Hotel offers dinner at a reasonable price and it was delicious. Short walk to happo bus terminal/info centre (5-7min) and happo one ski shuttle stop (3min). Easy walk (10min or so) to happo village where you can find a range of restaurants and Lawson convenient store.
If you decide to take a cab instead of bus to Goryu/hakuba47 or Tsugaike, fare is about $2000 Japanese yen which is not too bad.

Good location but old, great value not great stay

Annex Building is so so so far away from where you pick up your board, from Onsen, from canteen, yet, it's much cheaper, Room for 3 in annex building with toilet is in perfect size for 2 snowboarders to stay.

Lovely people and so close to everything

If you're heading to hakuba this hotel is so close to the bus terminal and the gondola for Happo-one you don't necessarily need transport at any time. The staff are lovely and completely accommodating in every way. I truly enjoyed staying there and would absolutely stay there again. Thanks for everything team!

Very nice experience.

Stayed in a traditional Japanese style room. Loved the Japanese style bathtub where you can soak in the privacy of your room in like 3 feet of hot water. Very warm and comfortable and quiet. Location was convenient and the owner was very friendly.

A great hotel with a helpful staff

I stayed here to do some snowboarding and everything was close to perfect. I had nothing booked beyond the hotel, but they sold me the ski pass right at the desk and had some rental shop suggestions (both of which were discounted a little bit). The hotel was very comfortable, had western rooms and Japanese style rooms, and it was really well situated, not far from the mountain (by bus or walking), near the bus station and some restaurants and nightlife.

The only complaint was it was a bit pricey, and as I arrived early by overnight bus and met friends there I was sort of obligated to eat breakfast with them, and without a room it was unreasonably expensive.

Apparently I accidentally booked some "annex," but because it was a weekday they let me stay in the main building.
