GOOD HOTEL

中心から少し離れているけど、静かで周りには良い飲食店も豊富にある。
室内もデザイナー色が前面に出ているけど、違和感の無い快適さ。アメニティも豊富かつこだわりを感じさせるもの。VIP accessのクーポンで和朝食をいただいたが、品数豊富で見た目にも良く満足できる味だった。
デザイナーホテルは一歩間違えるとラ○ホテルのようなハリボテ感が出てしまうけどここはそのような事を微塵も感じさせない良いホテル。
インバウンドメインだと思われるけど、日本人カップルにもおすすめできる。
他の部屋にも泊まってみたくなる。

部屋は広くてお洒落

スイートのお部屋に泊まりましたが、部屋はとても広くて綺麗でオシャレで満足です。
到着したときに、ウェルカムドリンクのサービスもありました。
またロビーのようなところに、コーヒーと紅茶のサービスがあったのですがノンカフェインのものも数種類あったので妊婦の私には嬉しかったです。
お風呂も広くて良かったのですが、換気扇がないためか湿気がすごく、お風呂場に除湿器が設置されていることに納得しました。

コストパフォーマンスの非常に良いホテル

まず、チェックインはスピーディーで、すぐに部屋へ案内してもらいます。そして、ウェルカムドリンクの赤ワイン。部屋で仕事をしないといけなかったのですが、やる気が一気に失せました。

リビングスペースとベッドスペースが分かれているので、寝る前にベッドがグシャグシャにならなかったのは、うれしいポイント。でも、ソファにクッションは欲しかった。

ベッドの枕元の大きな窓からは、下御霊神社が見えます。京都らしい景色に気持ちが上がるとともに、視線が抜けるため開放感があります。でも、ナイトテーブルにACやUSBコンセントがないため、携帯電話の充電はデスクの照明のコンセントを抜いて使用することになります。滞在中これが一番不便でした。

その他に良かったところ。クローゼットが部屋になっているので、荷物を広げたり、スーツや私服を掛けても散らかりませんでした。ドアを閉めてしまえばゴチャつきも見えません。

浴槽は広々としたジェットバスで、疲れも癒やされました。もちろんバスとトイレは別です。

全体的に広々としており、ゆったりリラックスしてくつろげました。

素敵なホテルだと思いますが、とにかく段差が多い。
キャリーが必要でない日数の旅なら平気でしょうが、フロントからエレベーターに行くまでの動線が長く、しかも階段があるの言うのは考えものだと思います。

部屋は清潔でアメニティも豊富、フロントにいらっしゃるスタッフの方々はキビキビとお仕事をされていて「流石だな」と思いました。
が。朝食の際、レストランのフロアでお仕事されていた方々、ルームサービスの質は、数年前と比べると格段に落ちていて残念でした。

客室数の少ないホテルなので他の宿泊客とほとんど顔も合わせず、よってチェックイン、チェックアウトも待たされません。
部屋は広く快適でしたが、今回のお部屋からは眺望は期待できませんが窓から見える物への配慮は感じさせられました。

201に滞在。部屋はベッドルーム部とリビング部に分かれておりとても快適。風呂も広くジャグジー付き。コンセントや照明がやや不便だが問題はなし。問題はブラインド。十分に遮光できず、早く目が覚めてしまった。カーテンをつけるべき。

一生懸命なスタッフ

スタッフさんたちは決してスマートとは言えないのですが、お客様に気を使っているところが伝わってきます。
お部屋はそれぞれが全然違うお部屋の様で、お部屋によると思います。
はじめ通されたお部屋は窓が実質的になかったので息苦しかったので、別のお部屋にしてもらいました。そちらのお部屋は窓があったので良かったです。
ホテルオークラからもう少し先のこのあたりのエリアは静かでいいですね。

京都御所すぐそばのオシャレで快適なホテル

京都御所すぐそばなので、御所の観光に便利でした。スタッフはプロフェッショナルな対応ながらフレンドリーな雰囲気で、高級ホテル並みの心地よさでした。部屋はそれぞれ異なるデザイナーがデザインしていてオシャレなうえ、値段の割に広くて快適でした。レストランの料理も美味しかったです。次回は屋上のバーを利用してみたいと思います。

Great dissapointmemt

I was directed to a room in the basement. There was only a small window and the walls were dark. Who or why would anybody "design" a room like that for a hotel? I was very shocked. In addition to that reception asked what I would like to eat fpr breakfast at checkin. I cannot understand why I cant just order in the morning when I am at the restaurant. It's not a complicated dish. I also asked to eat late dinner at the restaurant or room service. They said the restaurant closes at 9pm. I am greatly dissapointed in this hotels lack of cooperation for a guest staying at this hotel. The worst.

上質なデザイナーズの空間で近辺へのアクセスも大変良好

1泊2日の京都旅行で利用しました。
大きく清水寺付近の観光、市役所付近の飲食、鴨川付近の飲み、四条河原町付近の散策、金閣寺付近の観光で行きましたが、どこもアクセスが非常に良かったです。
また通常のホテルとは違い、戸数が限られているので騒がしさもなく、スタッフのご対応も大変素晴らしかったと思います。

基本良かったです。

基本良かったです。配管が若干古いのか水の流れが、あまり良く無かったですが、フロントにお伝えしたら、すぐ来て頂きまして対応は良かったです。寺町界隈をふらふらしたいのなら、チェックアウトも12時ですしおすすめです。

広くてスタイリッシュなお部屋

お部屋がとにかく広いし、サービスもいいです。

お茶菓子やウェルカムドリンクも美味しくて、嬉しいです。

一部屋一部屋別のデザイナーさんが手がけているので、毎回新鮮で楽しいのですが、バスルームが非常に使いにくいのと、換気をなんとかして頂きたい。

とてもいいホテルだと思うので、その点だけが残念です。

304号室に宿泊。真っ黒の内装でムダに広くてシャンデリアがやけにまぶしく落ちつかない。女子二人だというのに水回りも全く使いにくい。あんな大きいジャグジーバスいらないし。ラブラブカップル以外使いこなせない部屋でしょう。
紹介してもらった近くのバーはとてもよかったですが。

出かけるのにとても良いエリアにあります。
ホテルの一室一室にコンセプトがあり、他の部屋にも泊まってみたくなります。
部屋数が少ないのも魅力的です。

Nice Design

We could enjoy the stay at the japanese style suit room. The service was good and the room was comfortable. But we had to use the stairs not the elevator whenever we went to the room and outside because there was no elevator in the lobby floor.

Great staff and service. I requested the room 401 . Initially it was not available for my visit but the team eventually was able to let me stay in that room. Room design is amazing and have every thing we need. It has some small wear and tear that I wished the hotel was able to maintain better.

Hotel location is very convenient. It is right next to the palace. Also close to subway station and Nishiki market.

We had daily breakfast at the hotel restaurant and it is the best breakfast I have ever had. Very tasty and great presentation.

Definitely would want to come again!

The room was amazing! It was large, had a walk in closet, separate toilet room and bath room, a small living room area and many types of drinks in the refrigerator. The king bed was also larger than most and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was walking distance to buses and the train station along with the Imperial Palace area. There were plenty of restaurants in the area.

We LOVED our stay at The Screen. The room was a wonderful size, beautifully decorated, with a sliding door separating the bed from the couch area. The staff was incredibly helpful and thoughtful- we felt like they personalized our stay with origami in the bedroom and a note on our breakfast platters the final day. The area was amazing! Close to the park and buses, only a 10 minute walk from the metro line, and 15 minutes from amazing shopping and dining options. 10/10 would stay there again!!

Great amenities (nice breakfast daily, drinks in the mini fridge replenished with every room cleaning, a wide range of toiletries in the bathroom) but taking a star off for the bathroom. Lots of dark mildew on the tiles and grout mostly in the bathroom but also kind of near the sink, likely because the vent in the bathroom wasn’t working. We notified the staff after the first night and they said they’d look into it but not sure if anything was done after we left, it likely just needs a full bathroom deep clean scrub. I ended up just buying bathroom slippers to wear in the shower. Would have been 5 stars if the bathroom was clean.

Good stay, for the price it was a great find. The room was nice but needed maintenance in terms of paint/carpet other than that it was very clean. It has a nice very view, our favorite part was the location. It was a walkable distance to many things in Kyoto. Nishiki Market is one notable space and Kawaramachi-dori Street. Easy access to bus stations and train stations. Would recommend.

We stayed in 304 the black room. Love the space and bathtub was fabulous. Slight flaw in design in the bathroom as the tiles in front of the sink were too and a bit of a tripping hazard. The solution for us was to fold the bath mat in half and lay it that part of the floor.

Breakfast was great, and they accommodated our vegetarian requests.

Located just across from the Kyoto garden our stay at the Screen was pleasant. The concierge spoke great English and was very helpful when we needed to make reservations. We stayed in the designer suite which was probably one of the largest hotel rooms I’ve ever stayed in. We ate breakfast there every day except for the one day we were getting up very early to go to the Fushimi Inari Taisha. We let them know that we wouldn’t be needing breakfast and they offered to make us sandwiches instead to take with us. I’m not sure if this is a common thing in Japan but I thought it was so nice and accommodating. I really appreciated it. It’s a little far from train stations so if that’s important to you keep that in mind but if u don’t mind a walk go for it. I didn’t think it was too far to walk.

Fantastic service and a beautiful space!

The Screen is an amazing hotel! Our room was very beautiful and well-designed. The breakfast was incredibly delicious and the staff thoughtfully accommodated all of our dietary restrictions. Everyone we interacted with was very kind and attentive. The desk staff even gave us dry umbrellas when we came in with wet ones. Fantastic service!! It is very well-located as well. We will stay here again for sure!

What a beautiful boutique hotel. Very unique rooms, love the decor. Really felt authentic Japanese with modern flare. Loved the amenities, the breakfast was amazing and the staff is very attentive. A bit of a walk from the closest train station but overall I would stay here again.

Nice stay in Kyoto

The Screen is a small boutique hotel with each room with a different design/theme. Great welcome at check-in by staff & was shown around the hotel with amenities explained & also shown to room. Welcome drink provided. The Screen is very plush & situated in a quiet area of Kyoto. The room was large with king bed, lounge, bath, shower. Tea & coffee making facilities in room or in central area near reception. Had an 6 night stay at The Screen with Kyoto my base for daily sightseeing. Access to public transport , bus or train/subway , is walkable. There are a number of dining options in the area. The Screen has its own restaurant & cafe. Ate at the restaurant one night , the food was delicious & the service was top rate. The staff at The Screen were friendly & professional. Would recommend The Screen for a stay in Kyoto.

Eclectic hotel with 13 gorgeous rooms and a delectable restaurant. It’s opposite the imperial palace but the subway/metro is a bit of a walk. Having said that it was a short walk to ippudo and the buses to other places I was keen on like philosophers walk etc.

Wonderful modern hotel in Kyoto

We had a great experience at the Screen. We were traveling with friends, and each of our rooms had a very unique design. Each had a large jacuzzi bath. The front desk was quite helpful, especially with restaurant reservations. The Japanese breakfast was delicious and well-portioned.

Clearly the hotel is a wedding venue, as there was chapel seating on the top floor and a large rooftop deck for a reception.

We had a fantastic stay at the Screen. The hotel was a short walk to Nishiki Market but on a nice quiet street away from the busy area. The room was very large and well designed.
The best part of our stay was the hotel staff that were very kind and went out of their way to make sure that we enjoyed our stay.
We would definitely return to the Screen for any future trips to Kyoto.

I stayed in February 2025. The Screen is a unique boutique hotel situated in a quieter part of Kyoto but still within walking distance to attractions like Gion. There are also some great restaurants and cafes nearby. From what I understand, the hotel offers 13 rooms, each designed by a different designer. I was in the orange room, which was super spacious with room for a king bed, a separate lounge/living area (complete with orange leather couch), full wall vanity and desk area, a full closet and bathroom. Despite the spaciousness, I found a couple things to be unusual within the room itself - firstly, I don't believe there was a built in ventilation fan in the bathroom and the staff asked me to use the dehumidifier unit supplied in the bathroom. Odd for a modern hotel but it wasn't a big deal. There was also what I perceived to be an odd electrical anomaly (or a ghost, if you prefer ;)) but the vanity light would flicker now and then for the briefest moment at random times. I also noticed that some of the surfaces in the room could use a little bit of a refresh with chipped paint and wallpaper starting to peel. Other than that, my stay was pleasant and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I left my watch behind as well and they notified me immediately. They also arranged to have it delivered to my next hotel. Overall, The Screen is a fine place to stay, with very helpful staff and plenty of space, which is a nice departure from more cramped accommodations.

Ottimo boutique hotel

Hotel piccolo ma con camere molto ampie.
Noi eravamo in 3 ed avevamo una camera standard grandissima, con un ampio salottino, camera ampia, bagno grande con doccia e vasca jacuzzi, cabina armadio ampia.
Accoglienza perfetta, la signora ci ha mostrato la camera e offerto un drink e cioccolatini. Piagiami e biancheria letto e bagno di ottima qualità.
Colazione molto buona, abbiamo anche fatto il pranzo di Natale ed una cena ed abbiamo mangiato benissimo (ristorante aperto anche al pubblico).
Hotel non molto vicino alla metro, ma vicino ad una fermata autobus.
Comunque si arriva in un quarto d'ora alla zona piu cemtrale, zona tramquilla e sicura.

Oppdagelsetur og bursdag i Kyoto

Vi hadde ett fantastisk opphold hos dere. Fra første stund følte vi oss veldig velkomne og vi følte hele tiden der ønsket å gjøre det lille ekstra for oss. Også tusentakk for måten dere ordnet for bursdag. Det satt vi veldig pris på.

Rommet var stort, moderne og flott. Det inneholdt walkin closet, adskilt bad og toalet. Badet hadde badekar med bobler, god dusjplass og generell god plass. Toalettet var moderne og teknologisk smart. Senga var stor og god.

Personallet var vennlige både i resepsjon og i restaurant.

Beliggenheten til hotellet var også bra, ligger enkelt til med to togstasjoner i begge rettnigene med 10/15 mins avstander til hovedområder i Kyoto.

Vi anbefaler alle som reiser til Kyoto dette hoteller. Som kanskje var vår beste hotell opplevelse noen sinne.

Great value. Cool style.

A unique hotel in a great part of Kyoto. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was top quality!
