とても良かったです。部屋からの富士山は最高、部屋の露天からも富士山が望めて贅沢な気分に浸りました。晩ご飯は美味しいけど、食材の選択に？でした。山梨でオマール海老は要らないなとか。朝ごはんもフグなど無駄に高級食材を取り入れなくていい、充分美味しいので地元の食材を使ってくれた方が好感度は高い。

サービス三流、施設は一流、お風呂も部屋も素晴らしかったが、サービスは残念な結果に。海外のお得意様をもてなすために宿泊。夜に空腹だったため、お得意がフロントに何か食べものがないか聞くと、冷たくないの一言。タクシーを呼んで自分で近くのコンビニまで買いに行けと言われたと、途方に暮れて帰ってきた。外国人にそれは酷でしょう！値段に見合わないサービス！

ぜひお薦めします

部屋から富士山がバッチリ見えて圧巻の景色でした。サービスも清掃も行き届いていて快適に過ごせました。館内や敷地内は広く迷子になるくらい。
食事も美味しくちょうど良い量。夜には和太鼓のショーがあり、一泊では逆にゆっくりできないくらいでした。笑
周りは観光とか無いけど、とても良いホテルだと思いました。
10年の記念旅行でとても良い思い出になりました。

I stayed at Fujisan Bessho Sasa and really enjoyed it. The ryokan is spacious and has a premium, almost luxury feel. We booked a room with a mountain view and a private bath. The view was amazing and the room was spotless. There were lots of free activities too, like a drum performance, a bar with complimentary drinks, and a piano performance. They also offer free yukata. The rooftop public bath was clean and had a great view as well.

The staff were polite and helpful, and the free shuttle made getting to and from the Kawaguchiko Station easier, even though the location is a bit farther from the Station. We also wandered through the garden, which was beautifully maintained. With the kaiseki dinner included, I felt the whole experience was really good value for money.

The experience of this hotel was on a level that cannot fully be written down. The garden was a wonderland of nature with small rest spots that make you feel like you're one with nature and Japanese culture. During our adventures in the garden I have found some time stop items that just bring human and nature together. The massage was an incredible experience making me feel like I was floating in a cloud. The facial experience brought the refreshing feeling of Mt. Fuji rejuvenating my skin. The dinner created a mixture of traditional Japanese culture with a modern twist creating a unique experience. Then came the performances of the power of the Japanese drums. This is where you can feel and hear culture together as one showing the power of Japan on their culture. The second performance of the violinists and pianoist was as elegant as Japan itself. The osens from private, public, and outdoor osen was a relaxing stay bringing the warmth of Japan. This memory with my girlfriend will be a memory I will never forget and cherish forever.

I had a wonderful stay with my young teenage daughter. It waas one of our most memorable experiences during our first visit to Japan. We loved our room - Asumi A Western Room with Open Air Bath and a view of the majestic Mt Fuji. The grounds were beautiful. Dinner was great and we loved dining in our room. Breakfast was ok. Staff was very friendly and the customer service was top notch. During our stay, my daughter accidentally left her rings in one of the bathrooms in our room and didn’t realize it until much later. To our surprise, the hotel contacted us, letting us know they had found the rings. Not only did they hold onto them safely, but they also went the extra mile and arranged to have the rings sent to the next hotel we were staying at. Their honesty, care, and willingness to help made a lasting impression on us. We already can't wait to return in December and experience their hospitality again. Highly recommend!

For people who wants to take bus to Fuji mountain, please check the schedule with the front desk. We did not check and found that the schedule was different from the website. You need to plan the shuttle well so that you don't miss the bus, or just take a taxi in order to take the bus. We ended up waiting for 45 minutes in the bus stop.

It could be helpful for the hotel to print out the bus schedule for the guests, as English communication sometimes is slow and could discourage guests from asking questions.

Otherwise, the stay was fantastic!

Words can not describe the amazing wonderful experience we had. From the Hotel pick up, to the hospitality of the employees. Ohh my god. The staff make you feel like royalty. It was definitely an experience. The breakfast buffet was the best that I've ever had! Quality food, after Breakfast we walked the gardens. Oh And the in room dinner presentation was so unique and delicious. We also saw a Taiko drum performance and had bingo which I won 1st place luxury pillow. I would come back in a heartbeat. Thank you to the staff members for giving us an amazing opportunity to visit.

The outdoor onsen on the 10th floor is the best of this hotel. The room looks old and bad lighting make it worse. I spent more for the corner room to see the Mount Fuji view; however, the weather is bad and end up see nothing. In such case, the extra charge should be void for customer.

The whole experience was excellent. All the staff were attentive and available at all times. The amenities (especially the in-room hot spring) were excellent. The in-room dinner experience was a highlight and the hotel was able to cater to our dietary needs in a creative and tasty way. I would return again in the future.

My wife and I LOVED staying here! We were lucky and Mr Fuji came out from behind the clouds for sunset and I watched it from the roof onsen. The next morning my wife got up for sunrise on the roof onsen. There are unobstructed views of Fuji from up there and 3 different temperature pools (the higher up the pool the higher the temperature).

We also enjoyed our private onsen in our room together and the lovely meal the hotel prepared for us.

The many lounges, the tea room, the amazing service, and the expansive garden with the onsen for feet made this a truly unique and amazing experience!

I would love to return again someday!

Fantastisk upplevelse! God mat och jättevackra faciliteter. Vi hade så mycket att se och göra att vi knappt hann med vårt egna lilla onsen på vår balkong (med mt fuji utsikt). Helt klart en magisk upplevelse. Detta var mitt andra besök och jag hoppas på ett tredje i framriden.

This property was an amazing escape from the bustling cities in Japan. The staff was attentive and welcoming. Our dinner was great and the dinner service was top notch. Our room included access to a great breakfast buffet, as well as a drink in the wine lounge, and snacks/treats in another lounge. The garden and tea service were wonderful as well. My husband enjoyed the rooftop onsen during sunrise (as the sun peeked over Mt. Fuji) - sadly, I wasn't able to check it out since the women-only time was in the evening and we had dinner at that time.

Our only complaint was the lack of information readily available about getting to the property. When we arrived, after a rather stressful bus ride, local bus ride, and then a difficult walk, we inquired about how to get to the Shinkansen the following day and learned about a shuttle that we wish we had known about sooner.

5/5 stars. The staff were incredibly friendly. The rooms and the private onsen in our room was absolutely amazing. I was afraid because my partner and I had tattoos that we would be treated differently, but instead they made us feel welcome and special! I will be definitely be coming back to this place the next time I'm in Japan. Also, the garden was stunning. If you can find the Mt. Fuji viewing gazebo, you can get some really awesome pictures of Mt. Fuji.

Staff was very nice, attentive, and helpful. They even greeted my girlfriend and I at the shuttle entrance. They are also very apologetic that there is a language barrier, although we are the ones who should be apologetic! Loved this stay and will for sure come back.

Overall, I had a great stay at Fuji-san Onsen Bessho SASA. The room was really nice and the private onsen with a view of Fuji-san was great to relax in. The hotel had plenty to do on the property including Green Tea Ceremony, Taiko drum show and exploring the gardens.

The only negatives were that the room inside was a little bit dated and did have a damp/musty smell inside, which made it hard for me to fall asleep. It is also not very walkable, but that is more of a Fujiyoshida issue so I would recommend renting a car to solve that problem.

Overall I would stay here again. The Washoku dinner was amazing!

Inconsistent service; beautiful decor

Incredibly disappointed to pay $700 for one night and be told by the front desk that I can’t store my luggage with them after checking out. The staffer wasn’t even apologetic about it. This left a bad taste in my mouth since there were no lunch options inside the hotel and my wife and I had to carry our luggage to a nearby restaurant in the rain just to have lunch.

The private bath had no temperature control and was too hot.

On the bright side, the meal service lady was amazing and super friendly, and the taiko drummers were awesome, and bingo was a fun touch. The garden is beautiful and the interior decor is an eclectic feast for the eyes.

This is a lovely property with a great garden and very nice public onsens. Lot of great options for food. A few things to be aware of. It is a bit out of town and while the hotel does provide a free shuttle it cannot be pre booked so you have to call and then wait. From kawaguchiko it can take upto 20 mins or more and then another 20 mins or more to get to the hotel so worth keeping in mind. The hotel itself is a bit dated but the common areas are still very nice and clean. My only complaint is that we booked in the more expensive Bessho SASA rooms. We stayed two nights. These rooms are not at all great value for money. The rooms are small for three people with no place for bags once there is a third bed. No bedside tables (no space). The in room dining meant that the only place where we could keep things needed to be cleared out including moving suitcases out of the way! Rooms are on 4th and 5th floor of 10 floor hotel and while they do have views of mt Fuji the higher up rooms have better views. The private onsen is nice but they have other rooms with private onsen. All of this could still be considered not a huge deal but the worse was that our room had a smell of cigarette smoke coming from the vents. The hotel staff smelled it and apologized and gave us an extra room on the ground floor to sleep in but this is hardly ideal. The next day they moved us and while the smell of smoke was a bit less it was still there. At over $1000 per night for a room, this seems poor value

Good Stay for our Honeymoon

Wonderful experience and everything was clean and well prepared for us. We’ve been to other ryokans as well and just reviewing our experiences all together, the food could be better and the aspect of celebrating our honeymoon and having it be special could’ve also been nice. For example, other places set up balloons and take pictures of us and give us a small gift when they knew it was our honeymoon and we chose their accommodation. For this place, there was nothing special they did to celebrate our special moment with us.

We booked this hotel as a rest stop between Tokyo and Kyoto. It exceeded our expectations. The service was impeccable, lots of amenities on site. Dinner and breakfast were great. Felt like like we were at a resort. Highly recommend booking a room with a private onsen, we had one with a view of Mount Fuji and it was serene. I regret not staying here longer.

Poor wine selection & grumpy hostile staff

The rooms were great, but you couldn't get a drink after 10 pm.
The staff were always apologetic about everything but never offered a solution, for example the wine list in the dining room was very poor compared to the Wine Tasting Room we paid extra for.
Why have a wine tasting room and not offer the same wines on the menu for dinner.
At times the staff were almost hostile.
The Karaoke rooms were not open despite not being told about it when we booked the hotel..... a big disappointment.
The outdoor swimming pool was filthy, looked like it hadn't been cleaned for months, I know it was outside but it was a beautiful day. Clean it and get a cover, either that or put fish in it.
The gardens were beautiful and well tended.
The Japanese tea Ladies were very kind and attentive.
The stay was ruined by the poor attitude of the manager when complaining about the wine choice and quality of wines available to purchase on the menu. We were made to pay for the sweet wines that were really pudding wines that were sold as dry white.....ridiculous.
They could do a lot better with the right attitude towards their customers. Would I go back.....not sure, many to chose from so probably unlikely.

What an experience! Definitely worth the money. Our room had an amazing view of Mt Fuji. The kaiseki and breakfast were amazing and delicious. The premises are gigantic with a huge Japanese garden that’s mesmerizing and a great location for unforgettable pics. Highly recommend to spend 1-2 nights there, you won’t regret it. Clearly one of the highlights of our trip.

Wish We’d Stayed Longer

The service was hands-down the best I’ve ever experienced from a hotel. We only stayed one night, but we were still treated well. The lady who served us a traditional Japanese style dinner was very polite and fun. She made us feel at ease. Of course the food tasted phenomenal, especially the Wagyu beef. The Japanese garden is expansive and serene. It even has a foot bath. Both the 10F and the 1F onsens were fantastic. The bedding and pillows were also extremely comfortable. Our room had a private onsen with a view of Fujisan (when the clouds weren’t covering it). I’d say the private onsen was worth it. The staff have varying abilities to speak English, but we had no issues. Solving how to find transportation to the ryokan was a bit difficult for the first time. We took a bus from Tokyo Station, which might be easiest, although you are limited to one checked bag and you need to find the right bus stop. You may want to ship your bags if you have more luggage. If we hadn’t done that, we’d have taken the Fuji Excursion train from Tokyo. Once we made it to Fujisan aka Mt. Fuji Station, though, we simply used the pay phone inside the station to call the hotel to request a pickup shuttle.

We only stayed at Fujisan Onsen Bessho SASA for one night but wish we were able to stay longer. From the moment we arrived the staff was friendly and attentive and the property is beautiful, with great views of Mount Fuji. There are so many amenities on site and with our private onsen we had the opportunity to slow down and relax, just what we needed after the hustle and bustle in Tokyo. Highly recommend!!

BEYOND WORDS

This is by far the best hotel I’ve ever experienced & probably ever will experience in my life. From the property, to the garden, pool, bar, restaurants, AMAZING room, AMAZING staff. Id be honored to stay here again.

HOWEVER, This needs to be said, the address on Hotels.com is incorrect. Idk if this is the hotels fault or the websites fault but make sure you go to the right place. This hotel is located inside the Kaneyamaen hotel building. If you put the address on Hotels.com into google maps it will bring you an hour walk in the wrong direction.

I’ve attached a picture of our view from our room, the breakfast we got at the cafe overlooking the garden, and the free drinks in the lounge right outside our room.

Beautiful gardens in the back; the Onsen was amazing with views of Mount Fuji. Staff was very kind and helpful. Dinner was outstanding with 8 courses. We had a room for 5 with private onsen with a Fuji view and used the 10th floor one as well. Spectacular stay and completely worth the price. Massage chairs are a must do as well as the tea house. Free drinks and snacks in lounge is another plus. Breakfast was a buffet with omelets and Japanese and western breakfast items . They had drum show and piano bar with free drink ticket and they have karaoke rooms that you can rent out . It was far from Kyoto to get there but the hotel helped reserve us a shuttle tour from the Shinkansen station that goes to the mt Fuji museum and it was interesting to learn more about it. Would love to return one day.
