スタッフさんの対応がとても良かったです。8室ほどのこぢんまりとした宿でしたが、ほとんどのお客さんがインバウンドだったこともあってか、レストラも静かで良かったです。残念なのは駐車場が少し狭い点と玄関が地味すぎな点です。

箱根の親孝行

急な坂の途中にある宿で、車で行くにはとても行きづらい場所だった。施設はとても綺麗にしていて、オーナーさんもとても人柄の良さそうな方、お料理も美味しかったです。ただ、外国のホテルサイトに掲載しているのか、外国人が異様に多かったので、あまり落ち着かなかった。ホテルのための施設というよりも、別荘を改装したようなかんじだった。

ごはんの美味しい宿

こじんまりとしたホテルですが、アットホーム、帰国子女？かわかりませんが、スタッフさんの笑顔がいいですね。夜ごはんは、豚しゃぶ、焼きタラバ、天ぷらなど日本酒に良くあいました。朝食はお粥と干物など朝からこんなに！と言うくらい沢山で、美味しかったです。風呂は小さめですが、白濁色の掛け流しで、内風呂と露天を交互に楽しみました。朝の1人風呂最高でした。強羅全体がそうなのですが、ホテル前も急坂なので、徒歩だと大変ですね。

親切な宿です。

従業員の方はみな親切でした。料理もたくさんで十分です。お風呂は貸し切りも無料です。翌日大涌谷へ行くのにロープウェイで行きたかったので駐車のお願いも快く受けてくれました。
周りは急坂だらけなので、散歩や散策は不向きです。

布団のシーツには他人の体毛と思われるものも付いていて、衛生的ではありませんでした。

温泉がよくて癒されました

のんびりして日頃の疲れを癒すことができました。食事も良かったけれど、温泉旅館はよいお湯が何よりのご馳走。この旅館に限らないけれど、日本の旅館はチェックアウトが早いのが玉に瑕。１２時といわないまでも、せめて１１時にならないのかしら。いごこちがよかったかだけに、そう思いました。

静かな箱根のホテル

雨の日の訪問となりましたが部屋も露天風呂も綺麗で、ゆったりとした時間を過ごせました。
お料理も美味しいものばかりでしたし、個人的には卓球ができたのも良かったです。

小ぢんまりとした旅館で、リラックスできました。宿の方も親切でした。料理も味・量共に満足です。

Der Ryokan ist eine gute Wahl, wenn man Hakone erkunden möchte. Die Unterkunft sieht von Außen zwar nicht nach einem klassischen Ryokan aus bietet aber ansonsten den gleichen besonderen Service. Das Frühstück und Abendessen besteht aus mehreren Gängen die wirklich sehr sättigend und vielfältig sind. Während unserers Aufenthalts gab es immer andere Gerichte. Die Getränke beim Essen kosten extra, wobei Wasser wahrscheinlich kostenlos wäre. Der Onsen war sehr schön und das Wasser stammt von den lokalen Quellen auf dem Berg Owakudani. Es ist trüblich weiß aufgrund der Mineralien des Wassers. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und gemütlich. Das Personal war stets freundlich und hilfsbereit.

I enjoyed my two night stay and my only regret is that I didn't arrive before 6:30pm the 1st night for a wonderful dinner like the one I had on the 2nd night. Location is walking distance from the Gora Train station yet far enough away to feel secluded.

The property is a charming ryoken with simple amenities that is nestled in the mountains with beautiful views from the room. We slept comfortably on futons in our traditional tatami rooms.The kaiseki meals were amazing so didn't miss out on that experience. They have a private onsen during the evening that you can reserve and a men's and women's bath available . We enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff who spoke English.

We were a little nervous at first about visiting a ryokan as we wanted to do things correctly and were unsure on how everything worked, but as soon as we arrived all the staff put us at ease and talked us through hows things worked at every stage. We had a great stay, amazing rooms and views and the food was incredible. Brilliant service, thank you so much for making us feel so welcome.

Staff were lovely and the food was amazing. The onsens were lovely to relax after breakfast and dinner. I also really liked the midcentury modern architecture and styling, even if some guests might think it's outdated. We had a great time and hope to come back again!

가성비 너무 좋아요! 석식 조식 훌륭합니다. 비행기 연착 때문에 레스토랑 마감시간에 도착했는데도 석식 차려주셨어요. 온천도 프라이빗 한번 공용탕 한번 했는데, 공용탕도 거의 사람이 안겹쳐요. 왕추천입니다! 고라역에서 걸어갈만 해요!

Amazing service and fab for families

I stayed with my two kids 9 and 13 and they loved it. Amazing place with lovely people that staff it, we enjoyed being able to book the private onsen for half hour on the first night and although we couldn’t book it for the second (no times suitable as we had a early morning check out) we got to try their public onsen which was great too. The food is fabulous if you are up for trying different things but I would say it’s a lot of food so don’t eat too much for lunch! Both my kids have peanut allergy and one is also allergic to shrimp, they were very accommodating just let them know when you book in. Dinner is at 6pm and breakfast served at 8am, don’t sleep in otherwise they’ll call you at 8.10am to call you to come down! I thoroughly recommend this place 😊

很好的溫泉酒店，值得推介！

雖然是一所家庭式溫泉酒店，地方不太大，但服務和整潔度都令人滿意，而且有服務員懂得用普通話溝通，一泊兩食的食物也很好吃，份量相當充足。雖然入住的酒店房沒有浴室，但去公眾浴室的路程亦很方便，另外可以免費使用半小時私人風呂，也是一個很好的體驗！缺點的話，只是溫泉池比較細，不過由於房間不多，其實是可以接受的！

Excellent little ryokan

The hotel was a bit of a trek to get to from Gora station, especially with kids and a lot of luggage. We certainly got a good workout heading there. (The website says to get off at a different stop for an easier walk but because of the typhoon in October, the cable car was damaged so we had to take a replacement bus which brought us to Gora.). However, once we got there, we loved the place. We were travelling with 3 families and it was perfect. The Onsen facilities were wonderful, and the access to a private half hour slot for the Onsen was a great bonus. The tatami beds were so comfortable and both the dinner and breakfast offered high quality food in abundance. The service was excellent in every way. Overall, it was a relaxing and fun stay and we all agreed that we would stay there again in the future.

Our stay at lalaca was excellent. The staff is very friendly. The outdoor onsen was awesome and the 30 minute private slot for each room at the onsen is an excellent idea. The dinner and breakfast were great with a large variety of different foods. Its a very scenic location. We really enjoyed our stay!!

The place was clean, quiet and with a traditional charm but a bit outdated. The rooms were huge by Japan standards (for 2 people) and the Onsen area was clean as well but a bit outdated and simple. Breakfast & dinner were delicious but not amazing. Overall a pleasing experience.

Que du bonheur!

Excellent sejour dans le Ryokan Lalaca. Le personnel est au petit soin pour rendre le séjour le meilleur possible. Les Onsen sont un véritable délice et il est possible de réserver une demi heure en famille dans un onsen extérieur dédié. Le Ryokan est situé près de la gare de Gora et donc accessible assez facilement.

Small Ryokan

First of all, this is small ryokan only 7 rooms. People called it dated accommodation but it's just the way we like it. We don't want brand new ryokan, we want something old but clean and well maintained.

How to get there?
From Hakone Yumoto Station take Hakone Tozan Train, you can bring your big luggages inside just fine. Drop at Gora Station then take Hakone Tozan Cable Car. Take the cable car and get out on OH 58 Koen-Shimo. Go downstair a little bit, there is a T section right in front. Go right and walk about 100 metres, take right on 2nd intersection. It's going down hill about 20-30 metres. Or just use google map. This is the best way and shortest way if you carry big luggages with you like us. You don't need to carry your luggages up hill 40 degree up, it's very challenging.

Onsen
They actually have 3 baths, 2 baths are public men and women, they switched them at certain time. As usual you notice it from the blue and pink flag. There is another one which is private onsen in which you book early when you check in and you have 30 minutes of private onsen. It's semi outdoor but without shower so you, first, take a show in the public onsen and then get inside the private onsen. A little bit ackward but it's alright.

On this particular onsen, the water is whitish due to strong content of sulfur. I guess it's near owakudani.

Food
Absolutely fantastic, it's art and delicious. Come empty, it's big dinner and breakfast. Try Yumesho and Hakone Beer.

Serene stay at this boutique styl hot spring hotel

The hotel is very close to Koen Shimo cable car station (less than 5 min walk). Food was amazing (traditional Japanese banqurt style dinner and breakfast included), and service was very attractive throughout my stay. They are very caring to my 8 month old son too. The view of the mountain outside of the lobby n room is spectacular and peaceful. The onsen are perfect and bonus that we get to book the outdoor onsen as private for 30 min each day. Very serene to soak in their onsen and that is definitely the best amenity of this onsen ryokan. They only have 8 to 9 rooms so service is very personal and enthusiastic!

Stayed for one night at Lalaca and wished we could have stayed longer. The ryokan is located about two blocks away from Gora and Koen-Shimo Station. Room and hot springs are clean and provide all the necessary ammenities (soap, shampoo, toothbrush) plus more, with skin care lines provided in room for both males and females. The traditional dinner and breakfast were tasty and filling, enjoyed with a nice view of the mountains and in a comfortable yukata. There is also luggage service available to send your luggage to/from Hakone-Yumamoto Station. Most importantly, the staff is warm, welcoming and extremely accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

Expérience à vivre

Nous avons séjourné 1 nuit dans cet établissement et j'ai ADORE !
Je commencerai ici avec le seul point négatif : il est assez loin en transport des sites comme Hakone Jinja, le bateau pirate etc. Cependant il est à 10min à pied de la gare de Gora ce qui est appréciable !
Le personnel fût très accueillant et parle assez bien anglais.
Nous sommes allés nous promener l'après midi, puis nous sommes revenu vers 17h45 car le repas commence à 18h/18h15, j'aurai aimé pouvoir venir un peu plus tard mais bon tant pis !
Pendant que nous mangeons un vrai repas de roi, le personnel part installer les futons dans la chambre. Pour en revenir au repas, avant de commencer votre séjour, le personnel vous envoie un mail afin de savoir si vous avez des allergies, ou des aliments que vous n'aimez pas et j'ai beaucoup apprécié cette intention. Le repas est vraiment copieux et très, très, très bon ! Petit conseil, ne mangez pas avant ! Le petit déjeuner est tout aussi excellent !
Nous avons aussi pu vivre l'expérience Onsen + douche public. Bien qu'au début j'étais réticente à me laver en public, finalement on se rend compte assez vite que pour eux c'est "normal' et personne ne vous regarde ! Vous n'avez donc pas à vous sentir gêné !
Pour en revenir aux futons ils sont vraiment agréables, surtout pour mon dos fragile et c'est la meilleure nuit que j'ai passé au Japon ! Je rajouterai une chose pour ceux qui se pose la question, les wc sont dans la chambre :)

가이세키가 맛있었고~ 직원들이 매우 친절 하였습니다.
탕이 크지는 않았지만 온천물도 좋고 9팀만 이용하는 작은 료칸이라 조용하고 좋았습니다~1월에라 살짝 방이 추웠고 물은 아주 뜨거워서 아주 어린아이는 한겨울에는 가지 않는것이 좋을거 같습니다. 대중교통으로 가기 좀 멀기때문에 짐이 많거나 아이가 있으시면 렌트를 추천드립니다. 휴식에 적합한, 가격대비 훌륭한 곳인것 같습니다

Nice ryokan in Gora

Nice little spot that’s well located near cable car/rope way and other local sites. Kazu and his staff were very friendly and attentive. Our room was large and comfortable. Both dinner and breakfast were amazing and very generous servings. Onsen was nice, particularly the outdoor bath. Good views and vibes all around.

Japanisches erlebnis

Relativ wenige Zimmer, dafür schöner Onsen, auch ein privater Bereich zu zweit. Sehr freundliches Personal. Mobiliar etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Vom Bahnhof zum Hotel geht der Weg recht steil bergauf, das ist mit Gepäck mühsam. Hilfreich wäre ein Shuttlebus wie bei anderen Hotels gesehen. Sehr feines Dinner!

Lovely Lalaca Honeymoon

Our stay at Lalaca was the highlight of our honeymoon. From the minute you step through the door it’s a relaxing paradise. Dinner there was one of the best of the entire trip; it was 7 courses long! Breakfast was also a treat, but the highlight was the private onsen! You get 30 minutes to yourself in their naturally occurring onsen with the best view. The rooms are amazing and the staff couldn’t have been nicer. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Simply amazing. Staying at Lalaca was the one part of our budget trip to Japan that we splurged on and we are so glad we did. Some highlights below:

- LOCATION: Unlike other listings that we saw around the Hakone area, Lalaca is located in Gora, which is where the famous Hakone Tazon Cablecar to Hakone Ropeway starts. In the morning we were able to catch the cablecar before the rush of people since we didn't have to ride the Hakone Tazon Railway into town (45 min trip one-way). The Open Air Museum and Gora Park are also within walking distance of Lalaca, which are must-sees if you are in the area.

- FACILITIES/STAFF: We're unsure why a lot of the reviews comment on the dated facilities and interiors. Everything was extremely clean and beautiful. As a traditional ryokan, we were glad that they kept the more traditional interiors instead of upgrading it to look like some of the more modern/sleek ryokans that we saw in different listings. The staff were so attentive and as there are only 8 guest rooms, it was always quiet and peaceful. I also lost my Hakone Free Pass somewhere in the lobby and the staff put it aside for me at the reception desk for me to find the next morning. I was sure I had lost it!

- FOOD: As stated by all the previous reviews, the food was amazing. Even though everything came in tiny dishes (and beautifully presented) in the end we were actually struggling to finish the last few bites.

Excellent riokan à tous points de vue.

Un océan de verdure très proche de Tokyo incluant de belles vues sur le Fujiyama, des fumetolles soufrees vues du téléphérique et bien sûr un temple . Lalaca est très bien situé, spacieux et les chambres ont une belle vue sur la montagne. Repas (japonais ) excellents. Évidemment onsen disponibles dont certains utilisables en famille.

A traditional experience in the beautiful mountains. We enjoyed a substantial 6-7 course dinner of Japanese cuisine which was included in the overnight price. The osen baths were clean and relaxing, there was wifi, a tv and complimentary tea and snacks in the room. The only downside was the uphill walk from the train station (no transfer from the hotel). The staff were excellent and we would recommend all our friends to stay here!

Excellent ryokan close to centre of Hakone Gora

Only stayed only one night, but was great experience
Excellent multi-course traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast.
Able to book Onsen for private use for 30 mins (per room) in the evening after dinner.
Very serene atmosphere
Very helpful and welcoming staff.

Close to GORA, so easy to access cablecar (funicular railway) and then onto the ropeway (cablecar).
You can do the circuit around GORA on GORA 2 day Gora Free pass in just one day if you start mid-morning. Best option is cablecar, ropeway, boat trip, and then back reverse (boat, ropeway, cablecar), but you can complete circuit faster by bus.(cablecar, ropeway, boat trip, bus back to GORA station). The boat trip starting from ropeway end misses out the Tori by lake, so better to reverse steps. hotel, cablecar, ropeway, boat trip there and back, ropeway, cablecar, hotel).
Nice walk through gardens of Hakone Museum of Art moss garden and then through GORA Park, if you go up cablecar one stop from hotel and walk back downhill to hotel.

A comfortable, warm stay at Lalaca

Comfortable stay at a family-run inn with many warm and friendly staff who made us feel at home. Food was beautifully presented and a lot of attention to detail, flavour and colour. Location was great, near to Gora station and instructions on website was good enough to help us find our way. We enjoyed the onsen, which did not incur extra charges, and it had a great view with the Xmas decorations up. We left with our stomachs full and well rested.

Lovely stay

Excellent stay at Lalaca. We stayed for 2 nights. You can book the private outdoor onsen once per night, super relaxing. The hotel is very clean and cosy as there aren't a huge number of rooms. Food was amazing with tradition kaiseki dinner served each night. Breakfast was also excellent! The staff are very friendly and accommodating. On the day we checked out staff offered to drive us to the train station as it was raining. Would recommend this place to anyone visiting Hakone!

가성비 좋은 료칸입니다.

깨끗하고, 직원분들 거의 영어가능하시고, 엄청 친절하십니다~

다만, 7시이후에 전세탕은 노천탕만 인가봅니다. 7시이후에도 대욕탕은 그냥 쓸수 있는거였나본데, 저희는 예약한 시간까지 마냥 기다리기만 해서 좀 피곤했었습니다.

탕이 생각보다 조금 작고, 동네목욕탕 같긴 했어요. 그래도 물이 너무너무 좋고, 탕도 깨끗했어요.

Good Ryokan, great experiance

The Lalaca rayokan has a good location, near Gora station and offers easy access to and from the rayokan. The staff attitude was great and very helpful, The Japanese food offered during dinner and breakfast was rich, interesting and delicious. The public onsen was great experience and the outdoor onsen offered private bath for me and my wife. The onsen was well equipped and spoiling.
However, the facade of the room and the dining room both looked a bit "tired" .

It was nice and cozy place. My family all enjoyed staying here. As this is a little place it was quiet and peaceful, but the hot spring was not that big and diverse. However, only 7 rooms of customers were staying and never crowded. Overall I satisfied with staying at Lalaca.
