思わぬ経験

ゲストハウスに泊まるのは初めての経験でした。部屋には必要最低限のものしかなく（それなりに充分）、共用スペースが広く取ってあって他の泊まり客との交流の場があるのが興味深いと思いました。このゲストハウスは欧米系の宿泊客が多いとのことでしたが私が泊まった時は他の宿泊客は少なく、もっと多い時に泊まれば交流を楽しめたのにと残念に思いました。機会があれば、又利用したいと思います。後、部屋毎のゴミ箱があればいいのになと思いました。

リーズナブルで学生旅行には丁度良かった。軽い朝食があったのは助かった。従業員さんの対応が良かった。また利用したいと思った。

ゲストハウスで京都のローカルライフ体験

こじんまりしたゲストハウスですが開業間もない様子で施設は最新、またとても清潔に保たれており好印象でした。
リビングルームでの外国人観光客の方たちや、スタッフとの交流はホテルステイとは一味違う旅の思い出になりました。
ロケーションはバス停まで徒歩3分。観光地へはバスでのアクセスが最も便利です。
ただバストイレ共用のゲストハウスでこのお値段は、観光シーズンの京都とは言え少々高めかなと感じました。

スタッフの方がとても親切で、1泊だけでしたがまるで自分の家にいるかのような温かい雰囲気を感じることができました。リビングや寝室、シャワールームや洗面所なども、デザインがかわいらしく、使い心地もよかったです。また機会があったら利用させて頂きたいです！

親切なスタッフ、そして清潔な宿

スタッフのみなさんはとてもフレンドリーでした。さらに施設は新しく綺麗で掃除も行き届いていました。場所もバス停から近く、祇園、京都駅に行くにもバス一本で行けます。

アットホームなゲストハウス

初めてゲストハウスを利用して緊張していましたが、中はとても明るく綺麗で、優しいスタッフさんが丁寧に説明してくれました。夜はゲストさんとスタッフさんとパーティをしてとても楽しい時間を過ごすことができました！また利用したいと思います！

とてもアットホーム

本当にこんなところにあるのだろうかと少し疑いたくなる路地を進む。すると、そこにはオレンジ色の暖かな光がもれ出す一軒の家がある。そう、ゲストハウスである。
中にはいると、まさに絵にかいたようなリビング、何ヵ国もの文化を感じることのできるキッチンをはじめとするアメニティの数々。
数日と言わず、一週間、一ヶ月、いや、一年間でも住みたい！と思わず言葉がもれること間違いなしだ。

シャワーが狭すぎる

シャワールームが大変狭くて不便である。十分なプライバシーが確保されない。シンプルな朝食があり助かる。

客室、洗面所など設備は全て綺麗だった。スタッフの応対もとても親切だった。アメニティも何もないと思っていたが、タオルやシャンプー、ドライヤーなどは用意されており、戦闘に行く際にも貸し出しをしてもらえて助かった。

住宅街のゲストハウス

9月の連休に家族4名で宿泊。部屋は広くロフトがあり、荷物を置いたり子供の遊び場になっていた。スタッフは丁寧に対応してくれ、近くのお好み屋さんの予約までしてくれた。建物は新しく、各設備も整っていた。 連休の京都だったので仕方がないが、ゲストハウスにしては値段が高めだった。 しかし、リピートしてみたいと思う宿だった。

静かな住宅街の温かいゲストハウス

海外の友人との再会旅行で利用しました。「おかえりなさい」と迎えてくれるスタッフの方、自分の家の様にくつろげるリビング、布団を敷いてもゆとりある寝室、そしてとても静か。2階の足音や隣の部屋も気になりません。無料朝食のサービスも嬉しいです。畳初体験の海外の友人もぐっすり寝ることが出来て、畳をとても気に入ってくれました。京都から一駅、バスも電車もアクセス良好、文句なしの宿です。

The staff was really nice and helpful. It was our first time together in Kyoto but they explained all the locations to visit in the city and some nice restaurants. If we have the chance to go back to Kyoto, for sure we will stay there again.

Hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt 😎☀️

Das Zimmer war für 3 Personen geräumig , das Etagenbad und die Toilette waren sauber . Das Frühstück müsste man sich selber richten , war aber alles vorhanden (Toast , Marmelade , Cornflakes ,Kaffee ,Tee ......) , es ist weiter zu empfehlen wenn man günstig ,sauber und ohne viel Schnick Schnack Urlaub machen will .Wir würden wieder kommen .

Value for money.very clean with good facilities.remember it is a hostel and not hotel .bathroom and toilet is common .cleanliness in Japan is top notch and this is reflected in Fujiyata in spite of being hostel .

Grosse déception

Attention à ne pas vous laisser avoir comme moi par la description de cet hébergement.
Déjà il ne s’agit pas d’un hôtel mais d’une auberge de jeunesse. Vous aurez bien un espace individuel mais qui se limite à un matelas de 2cm d’épaisseur sur 8m2 de tatami.
Et c’est tout, tout le reste est partagé : les toilettes, les douches (deux pour neuf chambres, il faut attendre son tour) et même les poubelles.
Le petit déjeuner est bien inclus, il consiste à se préparer des toasts à la confiture avant d’aller faire sa vaisselle dans la cuisine.
L’annonce de la « consigne à bagages » est mensongère : vous laissez votre valise dans le couloir sans surveillance malgré tout le passage (pas très rassurant).
Entre 20h et 8h du matin pas de personnel, les clients sont seuls maîtres à bord. Le reste du temps, pas davantage de service : les chambres ne seront pas rangées durant votre séjour et vous gardez la même serviette tout le long.
Le seul personnel vu en 4 jours était limite désagréable lors du check-in.
Les logements sont mal insonorisés, d’où des règles absurdes comme l’interdiction de se doucher avant 7h ou de faire une lessive après 19h.
Pour finir, l’auberge est dans un quartier sans intérêt et perdue au milieu d’un lotissement résidentiel. Ne comptez pas arriver à la retrouver sans Google Maps et une bonne migraine.
Il est compliqué de se loger bon marché à Kyoto mais je suis sûr qu’il y a des hôtels capsules mieux placés et avec un meilleur rapport qualité prix

Great hostel in Kyoto

I had a great short stay at Fujitaya.

The day (Sunday) we arrived in Kyoto, they held a takoyaki party in which you could partake (for a small fee) together with other guests and employees. Which was fun.

The room was comfortable and the facilities clean.

The only negative I can think of was that the walls in the room were thin enough to hear other guests snoring.

Great, affordable, comfortable

The staff were amazing amd helpful. We had a lovely stay. Facilities were clean. Breakfast was cereal, rice, bananas and toast which was better than all the other hostels we stayed at. They had bikes we could rent to get around. It is easily connected to the city centre by bus. There are convenience stores close by and a few eating options that the staff will show you where they are on the map.

Perfekt boende för vistelse i Kyoto!

Otroligt trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Fräscha badrum och duschar. Enkel frukost och möjlighet att använda köket för att laga mat. Enkelt men trevligt traditionellt japanskt rum.
Skulle absolut bo där igen om jag åker till Kyoto!

Zentrales Ryokan mit sehr freundlichem Personal

Bei der Ankunft haben wir nach dem Ablegen der Schuhe zur Begrüßung Tee und Schokolade angeboten bekommen.
Das Ryokan ist in einer kleinen ruhigen Straße und mit einer Station Entfernung vom Zentralen Bahnhof sehr gut zu erreichen. Das Personal außergewöhnlich nett.
Die Gemeinschaftsräume und die Küche sind schön. Es gibt gratis Eis, Reis und ein einfaches Frühstück.

Wir fühlten uns dort wie zuhause, das Personal war super nett und kompetent. Alles war gepflegt und sauber. Wir könnten problemlos in ein ruhigeres Zimmer wechseln und eine Nacht dazubuchen.

A lovely friendly place - warm feeling and good atmosphere. Room good size and well thought out with lighting and AC. Quiet neighbourhood with some interesting local eateries which can be recommended by staff.
Breakfast is basic uk style - cornflakes and toast which you make yourself.

Perfect, easy, simple stay in Kyoto, all you need!

We had a two bed room in this central, very nicely located hostel. The breakfast offers all you need, cereals, fruits, Miso Soup, Toast, jam, tea and coffee. The staff is really, really nice and helpful. You'll find the hostel closely related to a bus stop – and you should go for the day tickets. Busses run all the time, 10:30h and get you everywhere.
The hotel offers handwritten maps & recommendations and some start vocabulary of Japanese, very sweet and useful! The rooms and the shared bathrooms are super clean, all heatable and we slept really really good. There is a wall of guide books & travel planners for Kyoto, from all countries (and the typical ones like Lonely Planet etc.). You'll find (bus) maps and Kyoto infos everywhere in the public space. We really loved our stay in Kyoto and were welcomed more than cordially. You can cook, bring your own food, use the fridge and have a chat with the other guests or watch some Japanese cartoons in the evening if you want to. Thanks so much to the Fujitaya team! Hopefully we get the chance to come back soon.

Beautiful and clear hostel

Th staff is friendly and helpful. She provide us information on how to go around in Kyoto. The room is small but clean. I love the cosy living room where people can sit around to chat . They also have a small kitchen with all the cooking equipment. They also provide a small breakfast , like bread n coffee..

Great location for exploring Kyoto

We got moved to their newer property called Fujitaya BnB 15 minutes walk from Nishioji Station. If you have big luggages, I recommend taking the bus. The property is beautifully decorated and kept very clean. Breakfast is self-served ( toast, cereal, eggs and ham are provided including coffee, tea and hot cocoa). Staff are friendly and speak very good English. I would stay at Fujitaya again if I visit Kyoto again.

Amazing!

Amazing stay (at Fujitaya BnB)!! Friendliest staff ever, who never grew tired of all our questions and nothing was ever too much to ask. Futons surprisingly comfortable and everything VERY CLEAN. This is important to me, as I normally stay at hotels, but this was even better. Clean, friendly, good location. We rented bikes and went all over Tokyo.
I enjoyed yoga as well and just basically loved everything!

전반적으로 매우 만족합니다!
게스트하우스 주인도 서비스도 친절하고 일본어를 못해도 영어를 조금 할 줄 아신다면 이용하는데 큰 어려움은 없을 듯 합니다. 단, 위치가 주택가안에 있기때문에 처음에 찾기가 조금 힘들었습니다. 그래도 근처에 버스정류장이 있기때문에 관광지로 가는 것은 큰 문제가 없었습니다. 잘 지내다 갑니다 :D

very nice small hotel

The hotel's location is convenient, but when you first arrive at Kyoto, it might take some efforts to find it. The closest crossroad is Gojo & Omiya, it might be good to print the address in Japanese to show to the taxi driver.

The staffs are super friendly and helpful. The rooms and bathrooms are small, but clean and well equipped.

Friendly, clean, homey hostel

This was a very pleasant place to stay. It is in a delightful quiet and charming neighborhood of tiny streets, old homes, small shops, even small hidden shrines and so quiet, but close to major streets. We rented bicycles and were able to explore many sites. The hosts are very gracious, welcoming, and helpful!
We were very comfortable and felt at home during our stay.

Good hostel

New hostel. Room is large and comfortable. You share bathrooms and toilets but it is cleaned regularly.
Staffs are friendly and would give you all necessary informations.
Bus stop is nearby and just a short trip to Kyoyo station.

Great value in a quiet neighborhood

We stayed in this little hostel for two days in last month. The area is charming, quiet local residential area. The hostel is designed as a family house with about 10 bedrooms, a full kitchen and a living room. It has at least 2 showers and 2 toilets plus 3 sinks in the 2nd floor where the most of the bedrooms are located.

The staffs are all young ladies who can speak English pretty well. They had been in US as exchange students. They made our stay very pleasant by helping us with nice suggestions on buses, restaurants, attractions and trains.

If you don't mind to take a little walk everyday from the hostel to bus or subway stations, this is a nice place for a change from the noisy touristy area. We found this is perfect for us.

On the night of Christmas Eve, the staffs held a party in the hotel and they had fun with their guests and friends. One of the participants in the party is the architect who designed this hostel. I got a chance to meet and talked to him.

Things need improvement, in my personal opinion: I had hard time to find the light switch in the kitchen when I need to see things in there early morning. Suggesting staff to mark the switch location clearly and let guest know about it. Also the temperature in the 2nd floor hallway was on the cold side for winter. May be add an additional heater in there would help.

Overall, great value in a quiet neighborhood.

숙소 굉장히 깔끔해요! 주택가에 위치해있어서 조용하기도 하구요! 숙소 근처에 버스정류장 있어서 교토역도, 가와라마치역도 쉽게 갈 수 있어요! 숙소에서 자전거도 빌려줍니당

Super highly recommend for staying in Kyoto

- Everything is same as the photos & description shown, or even better! Stylish, clean and tidy, spacious!
- The host are really nice and helpful. Though it is really a bit difficult to find, you can just ask the taxi driver to call them and they will give really clear instruction to direct you
- The common area is super cozy and comfortable. My friend and I would always stay there for awhile before sleep.
- It may not be the cheapest hostel you could find in Kyoto, but it is definitely worth staying! I will come back next time for sure!

Such a wonderful and welcoming stay

Fujitaya is a wonderful place, we are so glad we booked this guest house in Kyoto. The major highlight of this place is the hospitality - they really listened to us, paid attention to detail and enriched our stay by a mile. When we arrived we were welcomed with tea and chocolates, sat down and they took the time to advise us on sight seeing in Kyoto- lots of tips and answered all our questions! The room is nice, pretty basic as you sleep Japanese style on the floor which we knew about in advance, but there is AC and a remote controlled dimmer light. The showers are great and shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are provided. It's extremely clean and nice and quiet. We stayed 3 nights and got to know some of the other guests during our stay. Masa (owner of Fujitaya) decided to throw a party on our last night which was so much fun. We learnt how to make Takoyaki - and they made a vegetarian batter for us which was really kind of them and it was so tasty. We also did sake tasting and some sweet potato vodka (can't remember the name!). One of the other staff who works there called Rena was delightful - she heard us saying that we have come to Japan to celebrate our first year wedding anniversary and so on check out she wrote us the sweetest card and gave us a present which we later discovered were 2 pairs of black and gold chopsticks which was so thoughtful! They really made us feel part of their family at Fujitaya and let us even have breakfast there (even though it's not officia

아주 깨끗하고 편안했어요.

직원이 정말 친절하고, 버스노선이 참 좋아요. 깨끗하고 예쁘고 관리도 잘 되는 곳이네요. 단, 처음 갈때 교토역에서 택시타고 갈껄 그랬다는 후회 많이 했어요. 처음에만 택시 한번하고 가면, 그후로는 직원들이 버스 노선 잘 알려줄거예요. 딸하고 둘이서 짐가방 끌고 걸어갔다가 진짜 힘들었어요.
그래도 이정도 숙소를 이가격에 얻은건 진짜 행운인것 같아요. 교토는 버스(one-day pass)로 관광하기 좋은 곳이니 지하철역에서 좀 떨어져 있는게 큰 단점은 안되더라구요. 정말 추천합니다.

깔끔하고 친절한, 그리고 합리적인 가격의 후지타야

다다미 3인실을 이용했고, 깔끔하고 청결한 방과 다소 좁지만 큰 불편함이 없는 샤워부스, 그리고 친절한 직원들. 공용으로 사용할 수 있는 거실 공간은 상당히 편안했다.

Superbe séjour au calme et proche de tou transport

Notre séjour a été fantastique. L'ensemble du staff était vraiment incroyable: très prévenant et toujours présent pour nous aider. A l'arrivée, ils nous ont fourni une carte de la ville et indiqué les sites à visiter ainsi que les options de transports optimales.
Le logement et les sanitaires étaient impeccables, la chambre était plutôt petite mais très bien aménagée et lumineuse.
La pièce commune spacieuse et une cuisine aménagée et en libre service avec tout ce qu'il faut.
Ils louent même des vélos.
20 min de la Kyoto Station à pieds. 7 min de la station JR et 3 des bus.
Super séjour, ne pas hésiter !

Nice hostel!

Nice stay with Fujitama. The sfaffs are nice, friendly and helpful. There is no language barrier as their english is unexpectedly fluent. It may be hard to find its location for the first time, google map can help:)

Cozy, quiet, and clean

I took my parents to Kyoto with the hope that we will have opportunity to speak to some other travelers or locals in English and perhaps learn a little Japanese along the way. We enjoyed our stay very much and found the staff warm and welcoming. The rooms are spotless as are the shared bathrooms. The best part has to be the staff, both ladies went above and beyond their expected roles and treated us like friends. We will definitely return!

Fujitaya

Unique guesthouse/hostel with very welcoming team. Tatami mat rooms with roll out bedding. Shared toilet and shower facilities but very clean and not too busy. A little out of the way but easy to reach town on train or bus.

Highly recommended!! More than we expected!!!!

This place was amazing- a little tricky to find but that's the only bad thing.
We have never had such an amazing, friendly welcome anywhere before when checking in. We were earlier than expected, but were shown to our room anyway.
Our hosts were truly amazing in helping us get our bearings & had the cutest wee maps to help show our location, & even wrote bus #'s on our map so we knew what to catch.
The facilities were spotless & welcoming.
The communal lounge was fantastic, & the girls were always friendly & willing to chat. Another plus - it was only a couple of minutes walk to the buses that took you everywhere.
It's not often you find a place as amazing as this, so I'm glad our family did, I just wish I could rate it higher.

Clean, cute little personal hostel..

Quiet and relaxing. Small but perfectly well kept. Was made to really feel at home here with fantastic help from the team from letting us know the best places to visit for our short trip to the small things like a cup of ice tea as we comfortably sat to fill in sign in forms. Would reccomend.
