這房間我十分滿意,唯一有少少意見的是空外溫泉的水, 不能自己控制,所以水量不會太悶7是每日,而且當水冷後不能再整熱,不過我還是每日都使用

Just as the photos showed, the bathtub was fantastic to soak in at the end of the day. The amenities were of high standard. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Loved having the space for our family of 3. Washer dryer was great to use mid trip too.
We used the bus from the train station and it was only about 150m walk to get to Ryoken. Good restaurants nearby and easy walking distance or bus to nishiki markets, shopping area and Gion. A Big thank you to all the staff who were helpful and welcoming during our stay.

It’s a great town house to stay in when visiting Kyoto! It has an outdoor bath outside of the first floor bedroom, which makes for a unique experience. Though since you have to fill it up from empty yourself, the water already becomes lukewarm when it’s full (I visited in the autumn). Otherwise, there’s an indoor bath as well!

It’s definitely spacious for 4 people with a pantry and dining area. There are toilets on both floors, but the shower/bath area is only on the first floor. They provide welcome drink for free, as well, which is very much appreciated. Overall, Rojiyu is definitely a place I would visit in the future if I’m travelling with my family again. For couples, it will unnecessarily big and expensive.

We only stayed here for 1 night and it was amazing. Our suite had a fully equipped kitchen and a washing machine. The bed was extremely comfortable and the washroom was the biggest we've ever stayed in, with 2 sinks, a0p roomy standing shower and a deep soak tub that was quite large. There was even an upstairs area with another room, tea, and another toilet. The onsen itself was right outside the window area so you can just step into it which we loved. We did think it was going to be a bit bigger, nonetheless we thoroughly enjoyed it. It was incredibly relaxing and very comfortable. Highly recommend staying here even for a night just for the luxury experience.

I didn’t expect the room to be that huge. But I was impressed and I loved my stay even if it was one night. I enjoyed the onsen and how relaxing it was. The beds were very comfortable, like sleeping on clouds. Thank you for your hospitality.

A great location to explore Kyoto. We had the Bamboo Room (Take) which was huge, more than enough space for the average family with two bedrooms. The kitchenette was useful, and the washer-dryer in the room was a convenient surprise in the middle of our holiday! The breakfast option is outsourced and whilst convenient there are other options nearby.

From the moment you step into this magical Ryokan, you are greeted with smiles and exceptional customer service. The staff were so helpful in calling around for nail services, storing our luggage early and recommending local eateries as well as sorting out our internet issues promptly. Our family of 5 were very comfortable in our Japanese traditional inn with lots of modern touches. We made use of our private washer and dryer. The garden onsen (not hot spring but hot bath) was fabulous - so calming having a soak and listening to the rain. We would definitely recommend this tranquil oasis.

Traditional style Japanese home

The room is very nice and resemblance of a traditional Japanese home. I really enjoyed it especially since it is in a quiet neighborhood in Kyoto. The only thing is that it is a bit far but you can take a bus (which gets crowded).

Wonderful place to stay, room was lovely and beautiful with lots of high quality amenities provided. Staff were super friendly and helpful! Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to stay in Kyoto, it's just a brief walk from the station :)

Sehr sehr schönes und stylisches Ryokan. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Super großzügig geschnitten auf zwei Etagen. Super tolles Bad und der private Onsen und kleine Garten waren das Highlight. In der Nähe sind Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und eine Bushaltestelle. Super Startpunkt für die Erkundung von Kyoto.

No upstairs internet, no black out blinds so light streams into the room at 5.30am. Can hear loud people in adjoining room upstairs.

Great shower, clean modern layout. Nice staff.

Quite a good place to stay, but the issues above stop it being a 5.

Great stay with excellent customer service! if anyone has trouble turning on the Onsen, the switch to activate the water is above the bathroom light switch (took me 5 minutes to figure it out.

Our unit came with two bedrooms, one full bathroom and an extra toilet/sink, a dining area, refrigerator, microwave, and even a Dyson hairdryer. They provided all the bathroom amenities including shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, face wash, face lotion, body lotion, wash cloths, razor, hair brush, shower caps, q tips, and toothbrushes. It was plenty of space for two adults and two teens. My teens enjoyed using the serene garden tub every night. A delicious traditional Japanese breakfast (which varies slightly daily) was included every morning during our stay. We had very comfortable beds and pillows. Our unit also came with a small all-in-one washer/dryer combo (laundry detergent and fabric softener were provided). Also, slippers and umbrellas were in the unit for our use. Staff were very friendly, informative, and communicated very efficiently via email/messaging and in person. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

A spectacular Ryokan experience in a quiet residential area. The open air bath was amazing. Very comfortable accommodations. Be warned however, there are very steep chairs and the upstairs beds are all very low to the ground or directly on the ground. We would not recommend for elderly or people with mobility issues.

Great little property. Only 4 units. The Sakura unit was HUGE!!! Two spacious bedrooms with two beds in each. The outdoor tub was fantastic!
Very unassuming from the outside but a great find. The staff was great.

The main room was very comfortable, featuring a large bed, washer-dryer, kitchen, and mini-fridge. The bathroom was beautiful and fully equipped, and the Dyson hair dryer was a great touch. The outdoor bathtub was truly relaxing. Upstairs, there was another bathroom, an additional bedroom, and a dining area. The staff was very kind at all times and helped us send our suitcase ahead to Tokyo to make our journey easier. The area where it is located is very quiet, ideal for relaxing.

A little dark, and a little cold

Our stay was somewhat comfortable, but certainly there were parts that we missed. For example, there was no seating area on the first floor, other than the two beds. There also was extremely limited lighting, making the whole suite feel rather dark and cold. I think the overall aesthetic was, in photos, sleek, modern and well done; it just didn’t equate to real life comfort for my family. The hot tub was nice, but, didn’t outweigh the drawbacks, in my opinion. The staff was delightful when they were available, but we checked in much later than we expected (around 10pm) and had a bit of a hard time. That said, they emailed us back right away when we reached out at that time, even though they weren’t at the desk.

This was a beautiful property with very good staff members. However, there is an obvious mold problem in the main bathroom, with a musty smell and back mold around the wooden tub. We had serious allergies, and a strong reaction and I wasn't able to sleep well. They had air filters around the first and second floors but this doesn't do any good. I had alerted the front desk of this problem, she mentioned they will clean it. I think at this point it is not something that can be cleaned but the wooden tub needs to be completely removed to solve the problem. I just want to make this aware so they have this problem fixed.
