お値段も安くお風呂もすべて好きな時間に貸切無料で、入れたのでとてもよかったです。小さい子がいたので、神経質な方はお掃除などいきとどいてないことを気になるかもです。遊んで寝るだけで利用したのでこの料金でなにも言うことはなかったです。

お風呂が貸切で入れるのは良いが、お湯が熱すぎて小さい子どもには入れなかった。水でうめてよいということだったが、それでもあまり下がらず…。室内の浴場に入ったが、温泉の匂いなのかわからないが少し臭くて、清潔感があまり感じられなかった。
部屋は広々していて良かった。浴衣や鏡など、貸し出し用品があって良かったが、トランプはカードが揃っていなくて遊べなかった。
夜、宿の向かい側が居酒屋なので、1時半ころまで外から声がした。
全体的に少し残念な印象を受けた。

コロナでも検温、消毒を徹底してくださってます。

無料駐車場がホテルから歩いて3分のところに5台分ありました。
翌日チェックアウト後に箱根湯本に食事と買い物の為に行く際もそのまま駐めさせてくださいましたのでとても助かりました。
長時間は無理だとは思いますが、おみやげを買いに行く程度でしたら許可してくださると思いますので聞いてみてください。

貸し切りの内湯が2箇所、外湯がホテル外に歩いて1、2分のところで2箇所ありました。
外湯はお湯がぬるめですので寒い日はホテル内の内湯(かなり熱め)でしっかり温まってからがおすすめです。8時〜15時のメンテナンス時間以外は空いていれば入り放題です。

お部屋は冬はこたつをつけてくれているようです。暖かくてまったりできました。

畳はとてもいい匂いでしたが、小さな虫がいたりするので苦手な方はご注意ください。
壁はかなり薄いです。
ふすま一枚、格子戸一枚隔てて廊下ですので同じ階のお部屋の声はかなり聞こえます。
トイレが部屋外で男性は1階だけ、女性は1階と2階にあります。

お部屋ですが、今年のゴールデンウィークにリフォームしたと言うことで、畳の良い香りがしてとても綺麗です。
お手洗いは共用で、こちらもリフォーム済みで綺麗。
お風呂はリフォームはされておらず、昔のままです。ホテル内にある室内のお風呂と、ホテルの外に露天があるのですが、露天は清潔さはあまり…という感じでした。ただ基本的には貸切なので、どちらものんびり入れて良かったです。
お食事は女性向けで可愛らしく、美味しかったです。

（新規オープン）スタンダードAのシングル布団3組のお部屋に泊まりました。お部屋の写真は昔ながらの和室で少し不安でしたが、実際は新しい畳と綺麗な新しい家具（冷蔵庫や洗面台等）があり、とっても快適に過ごすことができました。口コミや部屋の名前を見て、最近リニューアルしたのかな？と思いました。(^^)
お風呂は2つあり、空いてるタイミングで入って、内側から鍵をかけるタイプでした。2人で泊まったので2人っきりでお風呂に浸かることができ、とても良かったです。お風呂は清潔とゆうよりは、味がある感じでした。お湯は少しぬるめでしたが、じっくり浸かるにはちょうど良かったです！
フロントのスタッフさんの方に写真をお願いしましたが、快く撮ってくださいました。
浴衣やタオル等も自由に使え、夜には夜食用にポットを出してありました。
新しいお部屋もサービスも満足でした！また泊まります(^^)

コスパはいいです。

コスパはいいと思います。料理を当日午前中に追加して快く対応して頂けました。部屋まで料理を運んでくれて味も満足でした。
値段相応かも知れませんが、部屋にトイレがなく共同トイレなので夜中にトイレによく行く高齢者は不便です。また温泉の壁と天井がコケ？で汚れていたのが残念です。温泉が綺麗でこの値段なら非常にコスパがいい旅館だと思います。

従業員さんの対応はすごく良かったが部屋もあまりキレイではなくとにかくガッカリの一言。

除虫対策が徹底的にされていない

今回は6人部屋に泊まりました。宿の場所が大平台駅から徒歩すぐで、近くに売店もあって立地がとても良かった。スタッフの方々は説明などを丁寧にしてくれて、とてもわかりやすかったので不自由はありませんでした。しかし、思いもよらなかったのは、夜になると部屋に虫が大量に出てきてしまって、退治するのに時間がかかって、夜も心配してちゃんと休めなかった。
ゴキブリが一匹だけならまだマシだったけど、最初は五匹が続々と出てきて、友達が退治してくれましたが、その後に耐えきれずにフロントに連絡をしてゴキジェットで退治してもらった途端、また五匹くらい出てきてしまって、スタッフが去った後もまだ出てきました。宿が山の中だからこのようなことは仕方ないだと思うが、建物が古いため、なおさら虫の出入りを徹底的に管理するべきだと思う。

ユーモアの溢れる宿泊地です。

料理は美味しかったです。ただ肝心の温泉と接客態度に難ありでした。温度が36℃しかない温泉なんてあるんですね。清潔感も損なわれておりました。お風呂に浸かった際につい笑ってしまいました。ユーモア性を求めるのならおススメしたいです。また、従業員から館外にある温泉に案内されたのですが、その際にその従業員はタバコをふかしておりました。最悪です。ただでさえマナー違反の歩きタバコなのに、接客中にそれをする良識のなさに驚きを隠しきれませんでした。
日本の宿泊地ならどこもしっかりしているだろうという慢心を見事に打ち砕いてくれる素晴らしい旅館でした。今後はレビューを参考にします。

鄙びた温泉宿♨️

鄙びた温泉宿の言葉が似合う古〜い小さな旅館。廊下は鶯張り？笑。風呂は温泉の岩を家族風呂として使えるのは良い。トイレは共用、しかも1階は男子トイレのみ、2階は女子トイレのみで少し不便。襖はシミだらけ、布団もシミだらけ。唯一の救いは食事が美味しい。部屋食。気兼ね無く行けるから又行こうかな。

使い方によって評価が別れる宿？

基本的に、古い旅館を素泊まり客向けに改装したホテルだと思います。素泊まりで安く泊まるには手軽で便利。多くを期待する人はガッカリ、といったところでしょうか。お風呂は、小さめの温泉を空いている時を見計らって、鍵をかけて入るシステム。システムを理解すると、小さいながら掛け流しの良いお風呂でした。古いけれど、風呂自体は清潔感もありました。外湯の露天風呂もありますが、こちらは、清潔感という意味ではびみょうでした。そんな宿なので、食事はケータリングかと思いきや、厨房で作られた暖かくて美味しい食事でした。朝食は、ダイエット中の娘が、三杯おかわりしました！

割り切れば快適な宿

部屋や施設の状態は良いとは言えず、共用部分との間仕切りは襖一枚なので音は聞こえる、というレベルではなく、うるさいのですが、価格を考えれば納得のレベルかと思います。お食事は特別感こそありませんが、品目の数とお米の美味しさには大満足でした。

ご飯がとてもおいしかったです。

夕食、朝食ともに、とても美味しかったです。
部屋で食べることができるので、移動の手間が省けます。
宿の方々はとても親切で優しい方々ばかりでした。

二階建ての小さめの建物なので、窓から見える物は少ないです。
温泉ですが、同じ建物の中に２つと、周辺の同じグループの旅館にある温泉に自由に貸切で入れます。
ただ、雨だったので出るのが億劫になってしまい、結局同じ建物にある一カ所しか利用しませんでした。

女性用の貸し出しの浴衣は、色もデザインもかわいかったです。
ただ、よく旅館においてある簡単なタイプのものではなく、
普通の浴衣だったので、帯の結び方が分からないと大変かもしれません。

古い施設に流行りの外観と効率的なオペレーションを導入したのだと想像しますが、細部までは行き届いていないようです。

場所と値段を考えれば悪くはないのかもしれませんが、風呂場に蜘蛛の巣があったりコンセントが通電してなかったりで、玄関のイメージと落差があります。

The location was a bit off the main city and main shops. Either have to take a taxi, train or bus to go around from here. The customer service was not very welcoming or friendly. Also the room was not clean at all. The sink in the room had so many stains and spots on it, plus the sleeping mats provided in the room had many stains on them and they were not cleaned. For a japanese ryokan during covid time where people are taking very high measures this is absolutely unacceptable. We only stayed for a night and was not happy. The only good thing was the outdoor private hot springs which were off the property and had to walk a bit to get to them, but it was nice to have the whole hot spring to your self and plus it was 24 hours.

The hotel was much worse thane expected. There are only shared bathrooms with only one shower for the whole building, no hot water in bathrooms or rooms, and thin walls where you can hear all your neighbors. There's not much around the area either.

We had high hopes for Manten. Unfortunately, these hopes were not warranted. The room we were put in was the only one on property without a sitting area (every room was open during the morning, so you can see what other accommodations looked like). We had to move furniture to put down our futons and then make the beds. Our tables were not moved back during the day, so we would come home to tea on the upturned table (on top of another, for space) next to our unmade futons. I believe there was service for dinner and breakfast, but was never able to confirm or order either, as we didn’t see anyone to ask until our final morning there. The cleaning staff we did run into were very friendly. The onsen on property and off were nice. For the price, however, I would not go back.

The property has 2 indoor onsens and 2 outdoor onsens. The outdoor ones are accessed by walking down the street. The meals are at a set time and very Japanese. The food was very good. The rooms are like what life would have been like in Japan in the past. They do have aircon, fridges and a small TV. Don't be expecting hotel standards. It's more like a step up from camping. We liked it, but would not like to stay more than one night. There is no sign in English out side the property. Using Google translate for the sign out side it is called stairs to the stars?

The facility smelled a bit musty and could stand updating. However, price and location were right, and it was a rare occasion to have meals served to us in our room, as at traditional ryokan. The supper was an exceptional value. Our room was vintage traditional Japanese.
Bathrooms were modern and clean although not attached to room. Although there were some miscommunications which caused a rocky check-in, staff provided excellent service during our stay. Futons were indeed thin, but we had enough to use two apiece.

淡淡竹香的小旅館

大平台附近雖然沒有甚麼可以逛的,但是很寧靜,距離箱根湯本站開車只要10幾分鐘,民宿主人三代同堂製作的餐食很好吃,泡湯可以鎖門很像個人浴池,房間內沒有廁所比較不便但是有洗手台,早餐最早只有8:20,晚餐最晚到18:50,很舒服且傳統的體驗。

Wouldn't book here again

The rooms were quite nice, but the nature of the walls (thin paper) were such that the manners of our neighbours had a large impact on our experience. On our first night, a couple talked loudly well past midnight, followed by several minutes of *ahem* passion. Drunk people stumbled up the stairs - very loud when you're lying on a mat of the floor.

The staff weren't overly warm or helpful. Their English is limited.

According to one site, you can organise food from the kitchen if you order it before 7:00. We tried to organise dinner at 6:00, but were told "it's impossible".

The onsen was dirty. Very dirty. There is established mould on the ceiling, the walls and floating in the water. I am not a fussy "clean freak" by any means, but it was unpleasant to be in. These are also the only washing facilities available. And if the doors are locked you have no other options.

The location is a bit more remote. There is a bus stop and train station very close, so it is reasonably easy to get around, but if you want more restaurant choices, you might be better off staying in a larger area.

Overall, it was nice to experience something a little more removed and traditional, but I wouldn't recommend this Roman. I would do a bit more research and find one that is cleaner with better service.

Go somewhere else

We came for vacation. The room had water stains on the walls, the beds and pillows were paper thin. We know futons are generally thin but these beds were terrible. The food looked good but we only ate about half. My husband found a hair in his food which made us lose our appetites. The staff were very friendly but we just did not like the room. We were so glad we had our own ac unit because the entire place was balmy and hot.

3 night stay at Manten no Hoshi

Clean room and beddings, though the room was a little small and the walls are kinda thin, but still great value overall for the price.
Nice touch providing red paste bun every night after housekeeping with the fresh set of toiletries and towel + sleep yukata.
Would recommend to take the breakfast set or buy breakfast beforehand each night, as there are no open eating places nearby until 10am, due to being in the rural area.
Also consider bringing multi-plug adaptors, as the room do not have many free plugs.
Do note that toilets and onsens are shared (but the two onsens are lockable for privacy) though availability wasn't an issue during time of stay.

用這價格去住這洒店，一點也不值得。評價只值二星，食物算是最好的。但溫泉也太簡陋。房間內質素真的很差。

房內沒有洗手間，非常殘舊。房內的洗手盆是40年前的，地上還有蟑螂 出現。我每年都會去日本兩三次，這算是很差的經驗。如這質素最少要減三分一的價錢。已在網上看客人的評論，怎可能會覺得算不錯。真的大為失望及質疑網上的評論是否失實？我覺得有關公司應該去查看是否在網上查查所說的內容及洒店設施是否真實再給予的星是否正確。

Cheap and it shows

For the area the price is reasonable but this comes with some things to be aware of. The place itself is a little run down and parts look quite worn and dirty. For most people, it's passable but if you need to make sure the place is clean I wouldn't recommend it. There are two onsen in the building which can be used as private ones as they have a lock on the door. They are nice but again, show signs of age. Due to having traditional rooms, the walls are also very thin which isn't ideal when you have particularly noisy neighbours as we did. It is convenient to the station however and easy to get around the surrounding areas.

日式古老旅館

位置靠近大平台站，職員很nice。但如果是要求高和愛整潔的人可能會不太適應。淋浴地方比較舊和不整潔，室外溫泉晚上去非常黑和恐怖，感覺也不太整潔，浸了一會兒就上水了。洗手間是共用的，男廁就一樓，如果住二樓就會非常不便。

Sehr nettes Roykan - auch wenn das Schlafen auf Futons für meinen Rücken etwas zu hart war. Ich rate dazu, vor 21h anzureisen, weil danach kein Personal mehr da ist. Dies führte bei uns dazu, dass wir unser Zimmer nicht fanden und daher in der ersten Nacht notgedrungen in einer Art Speisezimmer geschlafen haben. Der Inhaber hatte zwar einen Zettel an der Rezeption gelassen, mit Stock und Zimmerbezeichnung. Leider hatte er jedoch den 1. Stock mit "2nd floor" bezeichnete und den Zimmernamen (auf japanisch) anders geschrieben als er am Zimmer stand. Für die zweite Nacht haben wir dann aber unser richtiges Zimmer bekommen und als "Entschuldigung" unaufgefordert 500 Yen/Person Nachlass auf das Frühstück erhalten. Das Zimmet war sehr groß, mit eigenem Waschbecken. Die Futons wurden vom Personal morgens vor dem Frühstück weggeräumt und abends wieder "aufgebaut". Japanisches Frühstück gab es für 1.000 Yen/Person und Abendessem für 2.500 Yen/Person (beide Male viel Fisch). Ich fand das Essen lecker; günstig war es jedoch nicht. Das Onsen haben wir kurz ausprobiert. Dafür war es in Ordnun; ansonsten Handbuch ich es nicht besonders toll. Das Roykan ist sehr nahe am Zug und am Bus gelegen. Ich fand es schön, diese ursprüngliche Art des japanischen Lebens einmal kennenzulernen und dafür war dieses Roykan sicherlich gut geeignet.

Very run down hotel

Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt mit privatem Onsen und tollem japanischen Essen. Ab dem Check-in war englischsprachiges Personal da. Können das Ryokan als Ruhepause vom Sightseeing sehr empfehlen!

the hotel is just few minute walk from the train station, there are 2 convenient shops
on the way to the hotel, and 1 home-like restaurant serving very local cuisine.
the staff is very nice and polite, catering well to your request.
but he can speak little english only, mostly japanese.
the room is just like the one shown in the old japanese soap opera,
in which a japanese family spending nights together around the table in a japanese style room
dinner is well served too! very exquisite food

The dinner and breakfast was definetly the highlight of my stay. The staff did not speak much English, but they were super friendly and could figure out what you are trying to communicate to them for the most part. Wifi was strong so that was a plus. Cons: I had to figure out how to set up my own futon, but it wasn’t too difficult. The sink in our room only ran cold water and our room only had one outlet. I had to unplug the tv just to charge my electronics.

만텐 노호시 숙박

가격대비 시설 및 서비스는 만족하였으며, 첫날 아침식사는 기대 이하 였으나, 그 다음부터는 만족 합니다. 온천 시설이 너무 협소하여 불편하였지만, 대체적으로 만족 합니다

Had a bit of trouble finding the hotel as its name was not visible. Very steep steps to get upstairs to our room. Lovely Japanese breakfast served in a private dining room.

窩心舒適的住宿

酒店地方寧靜，交通方便，房間寬敞舒適，景觀漂亮，工作人員態度親切友善，最值得稱讚是小店的食物，精緻好味，有大酒店水準，令人感覺窩心體貼。

Une expérience en auberge traditionnelle japonaise

Un vrai moment de détente après avoir visité Hakone et ses environs. Facilement accessible en bus ou en train. Personnel chaleureux mais qui ne parle très peu l'anglais. L'auberge donne accès à des onsen publics mais aussi privés. Le repas était fantastique.

非常靠近大平台站

從大平台站出口向左邊走在第2個路口左轉然後行六、七步便會見到旅館的門口了，職員很nice，二食也好吃，另外旅館還會提供另一個免費且路程不遠的露天風呂，當時我泡的時候大約晚上7點多沒有客人，感覺就像自己的私人露天風呂，心情覺得非常棒，舒服！

性價比高的溫泉旅館

整體住宿感覺良好, 房間舒適, 又有私人溫泉, 旅館員工也很友善, 旅館位置亦極近車站。美中不足是旅館周邊沒有便利店, 唯一的士多也會在九點關門。

Great location

The seaside walk is relaxing. There is a ropeway nearby to got abird's view. The room has assigned slippers and acupboard for your shoes at the entrance. Selected this location for the ferry to Oshimo Island.

共用浴室和洗手間，一泊兩食，有免費停車，可惜房間有蟑螂

酒店在大平台站附近，也靠近馬路口。我們訂了面積最大的房間，一開始什麼東西都覺得好好喔，雖然沒有自己浴室跟洗手間，比較不方便，但看到晚餐的餐點就覺得不錯了，味道也好，也覺得沒關係了。回到房間雖然要自己鋪床榻，但也是一個體驗的機會，可惜在我們想要拿枕頭時，卻發現在櫃子的邊緣有一隻蟑螂，什麼好的感覺全沒了。第二天離開前，也發現桌上有一隻被壓死的小蟑螂，我真的要哭了。

Nice hotel with friendly staff and great food

Our stay was lovely. The town is quiet and peaceful. Th ryokan is close to the train station. It has its own baths which were amazing. The food for dinner and breakfast is fantastic.
