御徒町は初めて利用しました。
ホテル自体は綺麗でしたがエレベータが一機しかないのにホテルのスタッフも利用しているので待ち時間が長い。
部屋の清掃を頼んだけど…使用したグラスはそのまま新しい物はなし、お水の補充もなしでした。
後、会員はチェックアウトが1時間遅いのに通常の時間で処理されていて部屋に電話があった。

1秒チェックインができなかったので15時くらいからチェックインまでに1時間以上待った。アプリ以外で予約しても1秒チェックイン端末が使えるようになるとよい。混んでいるときは荷物一時預かり等対応してもらい時間を有効に使いたかった。

Cleaning staff can be quite loud, yelling in the hallway. Also the first room they put me in was so hot all the time because the thermostats was only operational in heat mode. Thankfully they switched me to a different room afterwards.

Great spot - some train noise as it's nearby the JR rail, but that's just white noise and very convenient for transportation. Hotel is clean, has everything you might need, and staff is friendly. The only suggestion I could make is to have more elevators (only one for the whole hotel, and while it is generally a bit slow given all the floors, at 10am checkout it is wildly congested, took about 5-10 min to finally catch it with room for us).

Detta hotell är belägen nära järnvägen (ringbanan) - man kan ta sig till sina destinationer snabbt, men det hörs i rummet när tåg passerar (uppehåll ca. 0:30-05:00).

The tv cast was nice, amenities were great, distance was not an issue, a lot of food and shopping options nearby under 10 min walk. There were a couple of things I did not enjoy during my stay. One has nothing to do with the hotel, but my neighbor on the first 3 or so night. At several intervals from 9pm to midnight or 6am next day, I’d hear screaming or yelling constantly. The walls are thin. The next couple things are about the hotel itself. They’re trying to be sustainable I understand, but having one elevator with 14 floors does not help at all. The elevator systems seems a little off too. I was on the fourth floor, going down to the first floor always took a long time. If someone on the 14th floor presses it, even after I press it, it’ll go up to the 14th floor first and will start picking up people on the way down. If it’s full by the time it gets to my floor, I have to wait till it gets down to the first floor. And then repeat. There was a time I waited 3 times with the elevator passing my floor before I could get out of the hotel. It was a terrible experience. Another thing is I like having ventilation in the room, I get hot easily. I like to have cool air moving throughout the room. However the hotel controls the temp of whether it’ll be on cool or heat. And as customers we can only control the temp degree and fan power. For the longest time, I did not turn on any fan because it was on heat and I stayed there for almost 2 weeks.

This APA Hotel is new and tastefully decorated. We booked a twin deluxe room and it was spacious with comfortable beds, a large TV and beautiful bathroom.
What we didn’t like was the restaurant attached to the hotel - it is very basic and doesn’t complement the hotel. To enable us to order food we had to download an app and provide our personal information. We resented that invasion of our privacy so we could simply order a meal. They weren’t interested in taking an order in person, the good old fashioned way. We walked out and went elsewhere where we could get straightforward service.

I have stayed here twice this year, but this stay was disappointing. The air conditioning couldn’t be individually controlled at night, and during my 7-day stay, at least 3 nights were affected due to room temperature issues, which disrupted my sleep. I suggest addressing this issue for future improvement!

Hotel name doesn’t appear on Google Maps, so our taxi driver had difficulty finding it. Phone number on booking reservation connected to a different APA hotel. However, check-in was smooth and easy on arrival.

Rooms were small, which meant that it got warm really easily. Air Con is a must, the windows do not open.

Cleaning was done every third day of our stay. The only issue we had was during of one of those cleaning days, our room was still being cleaned at 1pm. This was a slight inconvenience as it was a warm and humid day, and we wanted to recuperate in our room.

It’s close to train stations, and it’s located in a quiet street away from the noise of the surrounding cities. As long as you’re okay with hearing trains pass by your window, this is a good starting point for exploring Tokyo.

First set of nights in Japan/Tokyo

Overall good stay in Ueno for the first couple nights to get acclimated to Tokyo. Ueno is very convenient when it comes to transportation since it links with both the Skyliner/JR lines/Local lines.
