Bug bites complain dismissed

Unfortunately this hotel rates very poorly due to poor hygienic conditions and negligence concerning their guests. I got bug bites during the night while sleeping at the hotel. I showered before going to bed without any sorts of bug bites. At around 3 AM, I woke up itching and my legs were covered with bug bites, after that I was up waiting for the morning. I informed the staff and later as I had already checked out, I was contacted by the manager via email. They asked for pictures and I sent them. Finally I got a letter telling me that their inspection shows no sign of bedbugs. The hotel did not take any responsibility, they asked for pictures to verify my complaint but finally they dismissed what had happened.

まず、とにかく綺麗なホテルです。
サービスも行き届いていて、私は値段以上に感じました。
目の前が大通りですが、客室は静かで、車の走行音等は気になりません。

個人的にウォーターサーバーのサービスが好きでした。よく水を飲むので、部屋の分が無くなるといつも電話したりロビーでお願いして、持ってきていただくのが申し訳なかったので・・自分でロビー階に降りて自由に補充できるのは嬉しかったです。

疲れていたので、夜は定食をオーダーし
弁当スタイルのものを部屋でいただきました。
外で食べるよりはやや割高ですが、美味しいお味噌汁を静かな部屋で飲むのはとてもリラックスできます。ルームサービスと比較すると、出来上がった弁当を取りに行くのは多少手間かもしれませんが、ホテルの値段を思えばそれも充分許容範囲です。
朝食はビュッフェ形式で、どちらかというと和に傾向したラインナップ。私はサラダとパンをいただきましたが、パンのクオリティが高くて驚きました。唯一、バターナイフの用意がなかったことが残念でしたが、私が見つけられなかっただけかもしれません。

翌日、チェックアウトまで時間があったので朝の散歩がてら建仁寺まで歩きました。10分程度で着くので良い距離感です。
周辺は商業的にあまり賑やかなエリアではありませんが、移動したい場合は地下鉄の清水五条駅の降り口がすぐ側にありますので、全体的に利便性は良いかと思います。
スタッフの方々の対応もとても素晴らしく、また利用したいホテルのひとつです。

キングベッドルームの部屋に泊まりました。
正直に言うとホテルのクオリティの割に値段が高いと思いました。
従業員の方達の対応や挨拶はとても雰囲気が良かったです。部屋もとても綺麗でした。しかし朝隣の部屋から目覚ましアラームの音や廊下で話してる音も聞こえる。シャンプーボディーソープの泡立ちも悪い。あらゆる所でアジアの客の方達マナーの悪さを感じ、快適ではなかったです。エクスペディアに載ってる写真よりずっと狭いです。トイレも床がタイルとかでは無いため、初めから少し臭った。バスルームにあった椅子と桶は、衛生的や狭さ的にいらないと思いました。正面玄関の入り口が狭いのは何故か気になりました。
最寄りのバス、電車の駅はとても近いので便利。コンビニも小さいスーパーも近くなので寄りやすい。

海外からの観光客が多く、夜まで子供が騒いでいたり、マナーが気になる事が多かった。
スタッフも少ないのか、待たされたり、気になる事が多く感じられた。

清潔感があり、静かでした。
また部屋風呂のシャンプー類が好みの香りで、購入したかったのですが販売されてませんでした。

が、フロント近隣コインパーキングと駐車料金が書かれたmapを頂けます。

Hotel tradicional, no tenía alberca porque tenía los baños tradicionales pero que tienes que estar desnuda, y pues no todos gustamos de eso, estaba haciendo mucho calor y no pudimos refrescarnos, la habitación era como un dormitorio japonés supongo, bonito pero había un sofá que estaba todo manchado y ni me quise sentar ahí. Habitacion ruidosa ya que me dieron el piso 2, se escuchaba todo el ruido de la calle. Cabe mencionar que era una habitación premium.

The highlight of our trip was our stay here, close proximoty to many sites such as Kiyomizu-dera temple & Gion district. Super family friendly, staff was very kind and welcoming.

Traditional Japanese room was very cute, beds very comfortable.
The gym is amazing!! It was the highlight of this hotel for me as well as the staffs willingness to help us with any issues. They helped with Yamato transport as well.

The location is great. The hotel is maintained well. Most of staff are friendly. However, I was struggling the traffic noise every night as my room was at the lower floor and facing the busy road. I asked for a quiet room at the counter specifically. It was very disappointing that the staff still assigned the room with the poorest location to us. I doubted whether it was because I booked the stay through expedia as the third agent. Anyway, I hope at least ear plugs are provided, or staff could be more responsive to customers request.

The room is really dark. I had to use a compact mirror by the window to put makeup on. Even the make up mirror was dim. Weird.

There is only a hand held shower. Disappointing not to have an overhead shower like the other Hilton’s.

The restaurant staff is over the top nice and attentive but I wish they served “real” coffee. Vending machines don’t cut it for me and their drip coffee was gross.

The guy who makes the fried eggs was great too.

Good value for the price. The lobby photos look more elegant online than in reality, since luggage storage near the entrance makes it feel a bit messy. It’s a bit inconvenient going down from street level to the lobby and then back through to the elevators, the room was a good size (though only twin beds were available when we booked). The gym and onsen were a nice perk, I didn’t try the food, the location is convenient—on a main street near the touristy geisha area, within walking distance to sights and close to a train station.

Double Tree by Hilton Kyoto Higashiyama was excellent choice, we felt welcome from the moment we walked into the lobby. Very well air conditioned property, and our room was spacious. We stayed only two nights this time, definitely will come back next trip for a longer stay!

Wonderful hotel in heart of Kyoto. The staff were incredibly nice and accomodating. The rooms, while modest (our king room was small, and faced a wall just feet away across a narrow alley; request a front facing room to at least get a street view) was very well appointed and comfortable. The Japanese cultural elements-- floor mats, shower room, onsen bath on main floor-- were great touches.

The hotel was easy to find and access with metro station within 5 minute walking distance. There are convenience stores around and some access to restaurants for simple meals. The staff was helpful and facilities were amazing - super clean room with a spacious bathroom was definitely delightful!

Staff at this site were great. We enjoyed the breakfast and its options. We appreciated the water filling stations that offered sparkling water. Room was comfortable. Trains were walkable from this location but main line was a bit far.

Really good stay. Our family (two adults+two teenagers) stayed in two rooms for 7 nights.
Superb staff from reception to we left.
The location is great - 150m to a subway and within walking distance to a lot of great sights.

The overall hotel stay was wonderful, and the front desk staff was incredible helpful with suggestions. They also offer Yamato luggage service from the front desk but wished I’ve known earlier when I checked in, so I could’ve timed my delivery. Hotel condition was great, and location was great! However, during our stay, we didn’t receive room cleaning on time during any of the day. It was a bit inconvenient especially when we came back to our dirty room to relax a bit and not knowing when the maid would come knocking for cleaning. It was minor, but it was one of the little things. Bar service was slow but breakfast service was amazing.

The hotel is beautiful; the staff amazing; the room was well appointed; and the breakfast buffet was delicious. The bed was a little low so if you have any mobility issues request an accessible room. Would love to come back!

Very convenient, close to many points of interest in South Higashiyama area. The staff was great. Very helpful and friendly. One minus: the layout of the room is such that it’s difficult to comfortably put down two large suitcases and open them easily for daily use.

I loved this stay. The room was spacious, clean, and very updated. The staff was very friendly, attentive, and helpful. I loved the overall experience staying here. It is also very close to a subway station! Breakfast was delicious and included an omelette station! Western and Japanese breakfast options available!

If you are in a budget but want to stay at a nice hotel book this… you would not regret staying here.. rooms are not that big but you are supposed to go out and walk around the city. Now if you are traveling with 4 suit cases then it will be small l. But that shouldn’t be an issue with the hotel l. I would stay here again, every day 100% would recommend

Excellent Staff

The staff here was amazing - everyone was super helpful. I want to specifically thank Joseph, at the front desk, for getting us a restaurant reservation (neither of us speak Japanese, and this restaurant would have been impossible for us without Joseph's help!). The room was smaller than expected based on the photography, but it was fine. Overall, the breakfast and the comfort-level of the room made this hotel seem expensive compared to others we stayed in while in Japan, but it may just be that Kyoto is expensive. It's possible that the onsen here is part of what you're paying for, and we just weren't interested in that for this part of our trip. Location is excellent.

The hotel is very nice, the infrastructure is great, they have public baths but I didnt use them as they have a strict no-tattoo policy. Breakfast is really good, they have both Japanese and Intercontinental food. We got the Tatami Room, which is really great and sets you in the mood for your Kyoto trip! Situation is ideal as well, near Gion. Overrall, would recommend and stay again !

Ett utmärkt hotell för ett bra pris. Väldigt god frukost, mysigt bad och väldigt trevlig personal över lag. Våfflorna på frukosten var så himla goda. De har en bra uppsättning av hantlar på gymmet men de gör ont som fan att greppa med händerna så om du planera att träna under din vistelse bör du ta med dig ett par gymhandskar.
