ASAI 京都四条

駅からそれほど遠くはなく、静かな場所にあります。周りには昔からの問屋があり昔ながらの京都を感じられます。
タイの会社が経営しているホテルですが、客室は畳ベッドになっている部屋もあり、クールジャパンって感じです。
一階にはレストランもあり、タイ料理が楽しめます。
ここのタイ料理が今回の滞在の中で一番おいしかった。
京都にいながら、タイを感じられる面白い宿だと思います。
受付はセルフチェックインみたいな機械があったけど、なぜか使いませんでした。
フロントらしきものはありましたが、どちらというとホテルというよりユースホステルの受付みたいな感じでした。
若いスタッフの態度はあまりよくないので、ホテルで働いているという自覚をもって、もう少し勉強する必要があります。
できたら、フロントの位置をもっとフロントらしくするとか、事務所内部がお客さんに見えないようにするとかの配慮が必要かと思います。
それ以外はよかったです。

立地がいいのに静かで、部屋が機能的なところが気に入っています。今回は地下の部屋でしたが、明かり取りの窓があり、十分な明るさでした。タイ料理の朝食もよかったです。2度目の宿泊でしたが、次も泊まりたいと思います。

事前に良く調べれば良かったのですが、風呂が無いのはガッカリでした😅安くて朝食付きはありがたかったです。ホテルは綺麗でした。清潔感あるホテルです。
スタッフも気持ちいい人達でした。

何もかもコンパクトにおさめられていて、機能的でした。無駄なものは一切ないという感じで、すっきりとしていました。コンセントもたくさんあったのもよかったです。
しかし、テレビが途中で途切れたことと、シャワーブースが狭すぎたのが難点でした。朝食やレストランのメニューも増えたらと思います。

We really enjoyed our stay at ASAI Kyoto Shijo hotel, it was our first time in Kyoto and the location was great! Really easy to get around yet at a quiet and peaceful area. The rooms were small yet functional and very very clean! The staff went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay, and even at checkout the lobby manager carried our luggage all the way to the taxi. I’ve never experienced such kind service at any hotel.
Highly recommend and will definitely stay again next time we’re in Kyoto.

This stay was magical! My wife and I chose this destination as part of our honey moon! Upon arrival, we were greeted with warm and friendly staff! We made it point to sign up for a membership which including discounts for food + drinks! Our rooms were great. The food was amazing. We spent our days site seeing and enjoying local attractions. One subtly but awesome details was coming back to complimentary waters etc. Can’t recommend ASAI Shijo enough!

A cool, trendy ‘hangout’ hotel close to pretty much everything in Kyoto, with some great places nearby to eat and drink. Breakfast was a very limited menu, which, after four days, was a bit repetitive… and we were surprised to not have any tea or coffee in the room - just a kettle and mugs.

Sauberes, modernes und sehr großes Zimmer für japanische Verhältnisse | Personal war sehr zuvorkommend | Gepäck konnte trotz früher Anreise dort abgestellt werden | WiFi hat einwandfrei funktioniert | Frühstück war a la Carte und es konnte zwischen 6 Optionen gewählt werden. Nur eine Option war westlich (Toast, Butter, Marmelade, Eier nach Wahl, gebackene Kartoffeln und Tomaten sowie einen gemischten Salat). Leider gab es kein frisches Obst und Joghurt. Tee, Kaffee und Orangensaft standen zur Verfügung.

The rooms could be a little cleaner, we were in the basement floor and heard the people moving chairs during breakfast time and the people in the neighboring rooms. Breakfast consisted of several set menus with mostly Thai and Japanese breakfast options. About 5-10 min walk to the next subway station.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon, and it one of nicest hotel we've ever stayed at.

The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, and every detail of the hotel was beautifully designed. We especially appreciated the restaurant and bar in the hotel lobby.

We truly wish we had stayed longer and highly, highly recommend this hotel. We’ll definitely be back!

The check-in procedure was arduous and took well over 20 minutes. It wasn’t clear whether or not there was an isolated issue with the self serve machines - but this was the last thing we needed after a long journey. Other than this the hotel was excellent and the Thai restaurant was one of our faves

We had dinner a couple times at the hotel and it was pretty good. Ordering Kaprow both times. Enjoyed an evening with a live DJ. Music and ambience was superb.

Bed comfort was excellent. Room was cozy but equipped with everything we needed. Warm was quiet and clean.

Such a lovely place to stay!! The staff were kind and helpful, and the rooms were clean and beautiful. The neighborhood it’s in is pretty and peaceful, but within walkable distance to bustling places like Gion. Kyoto Station is also only a short subway ride away.

Met our needs perfectly and was so nice to be able to walk wherever we wanted to go. Space was a little small but cosy and had everything we needed. Bed was super comfy and the bathroom worked well!

Restaurant is nice and the bar is excellent.
Suggestions for improvement...the shiwer doors are not placws right. Thw loor shoukd open outward. The handles shoukd be outside.

There needs to be a qheelchair ramp to the entrance od rhe hotel for those with mobikity issues.

Modern, clean Hotel! Comfy beds and really good air conditioning. The rooms are big and offer everything you need. The service is top. Would definitely recommend it to my friends. The hotel has a restaurant and offers a variety of activities. We didn’t use any of it, but the food smelled really nice. Convenience stores and restaurants are all around the place! Really nice hotel in Kyoto 10/10

Overall the experience was positive. The room was clean, the staff was kind, and the atmosphere felt good. The downside to this experience was the location was just a bit further than all the main attractions in Kyoto but not so far that it wasn’t manageable. The room and bathroom were nice but somewhat small. There weren’t really many amenities at this hotel as compared to others but still it was a good experience. I would recommend staying here again.

In a quiet part of Kyoto, a little further away from most restaurants but still walkable. Rooms are pretty spacious compared to other Japanese hotels. Room itself is clean and comfortable, I would recommend and stay here again.

Overall a great little hotel in a very convenient area in Kyoto. Right outside the door is a beautiful Shrine and also walking distance to great restaurants and transport. The room was clean and well stocked. Like many Japanese rooms it is very compact, so small luggage is recommended. They have an onsite restaurant where we ate breakfast which was nice and good value at around $10 AUD The staff were attentive and helpful, A great base for a few days in Kyoto

We loved staying here! The room was very clean and was a good size. Staff came and made the bed and replaced towels every day. There was also free bottle water each day. The location was super close to a lot of great places to see and eat in Kyoto. There seemed to be a lot of activities going on at the hotel and the restaurant also looked very good, although we didn’t eat there. Staff was helpful and accommodating. I’d definitely stay here again.

Had an amazing 5 night stay at Asai. Went during the Golden week but everything went smoothly. Staff were very helpful. Also saw a Saturday Geiko performance which was such a pleasant surprise. The hotel is a walking distance to pretty much everything. Definitely recommend.

The hotel is new and has everything you need to be comfortable and have a good night's sleep. The staff is attentive and very helpful. The hotel restaurant is convenient on days when you don't want to go out to eat. The breakfast doesn't have much variety, but it's enough to start the day with renewed energy. The tolerits smell incredible!

This hotel was one of the best I've ever stayed at! The design of the space is very beautiful and calming, and makes the most of a small area. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and we enjoyed the live dj and Thai dinner. Definitely recommend!
