とても丁寧な対応をして頂きました。
駅からは少し離れていますが、東大寺や興福寺など観光地へのアクセスが良好です。
夕食を食べる場所を決めかねていたのですが、ホテルの方のアドバイスに従ったところかなり満足できるものとなりました。奈良公園周辺について相談があればしてみるといいかもですね！
朝食もとても美味しく朝から満足度の高い時間を過ごすことができました。
ホテル展望台は景色もよく、また子供が過ごせる場もありました。
部屋も清潔感が高くとても良かったです。
ぜひまた機会があれば利用したいですね。

ホテルの従業員の皆さんの対応は大変素晴らしかったです。非常に気持ちよく滞在することができました。非常に清潔感はありましたが、施設が古くなってきています。大浴場はビジネスホテルの大浴場と同じ程度と考えた方がいいと思います。比較的若いスタッフが心地よくもてなしてくれて、丁寧に声もかけてくださり、楽しい奈良の旅となりました。

駐車場料金について詳細あると良い。奈良公園近くらしく、鹿のインテリアや和風デコに和みました。部屋のお茶セットにインスタントコーヒーがあると嬉しい、大浴場外のドリンクコーナーで無料で飲めましたが部屋でも飲めれば。屋上テラスが素敵。朝食豪華で給仕さんの説明があり感動しました。普通は夕食にお品書き説明があるので。

大満足

義理母義理おば、夫と私の四人で通常タイプの部屋に二泊。
奈良へ到着したのが午前でしたが、快く荷物を預かってくださり、午後の観光や飲食店の説明をしてくれました。
とにかくスタッフの方皆さんが親切です。

観光スポットから近く、義理母もおばも喜んでおりました。

準温泉ですが温まりました。浴場はきれいです。アメニティもそろっております。温度も適温でした。

朝食はたっぷり出てきます。完食するのに時間がかかりました（笑）おかずの種類がたくさんあってバランスのいい和食です。

コーヒーなどが無料で飲めるスペースが一階にあり、何度か利用させていただきました(•‿•)

一人2泊で33000円でしたが、かなりのコスパです。評価が高いのがわかりました。

奈良公園に近く非常に便利。ホテルは小規模もサービスはおもてなしが徹底されており、気持ちの良い宿泊が出来た。
また、宿泊は2泊であったが、異なる食事が用意され気遣いが非常にやかった。

誕生日にある意味サプライズ

旦那の誕生日記念に宿泊。
一歳半の息子を連れていましたがシャボン玉をプレゼントしてくださったり、食事の時は子ども用のスタイまであったり、子連れでもとても快適に過ごすことができました。
スタッフの方たちの対応もとても素晴らしかったです。
大浴場は結構狭いなぁと思いましたがこのコロナ禍のため宿泊客も少なかったおかげかほぼ貸切状態だったのであまり気になりませんでした。
清潔さも素晴らしかったです。

ただ一つだけ残念だったのは、旦那へのサプライズとして用意していたバースデープレートですがまさかの名前が間違えられていて、スタッフの方々も旦那の名前でお祝いしてくれましたがそれも間違えていて…
プラス料金を払っているので名前を間違えられたのは正直悲しかったですが皆様のおもてなしの心は伝わってきましたし名前間違ってますとは言えず…
後で旦那と笑い話になりました笑
ある意味良い思い出にはなりましたができたら送ったメッセージをダブルチェックするなどしてもらえると嬉しかったなと思います。

施設のあちらこちらに鹿のデザインや装飾が散りばめられ、モダンなホテルなのに、奈良に滞在していると感じさせてくれる宿。スタッフのきめ細かい気配りやサービスも嬉しかったです。岩風呂は十分な広さで快適。お料理もたいへん美味しく頂きました。飛鳥鍋や蘇（古代の乳製品）等味わえたのも良かったです。大仏殿までのアクセスが抜群なので、奈良市内を観光する際にはまた利用したいと思いました。

気持ちよい宿です

当日数十分前のネットからの予約でしたが気持ち良く対応いただきました。スタッフの方皆さんにこやかで親切で、お料理は2食ともとても美味しく、目的の東大寺にも近いので本当にここにして良かったねと母と話してました。惜しむらくはお風呂での海外からのお客さんのマナーです。ごちゃごちゃするのを避けていられるのかもしれませんが注意書き、もしくはチェックイン時に、騒がないとかびしゃびしゃのまま歩かないなどお話してくれたらなと思いました。

スタッフさんのサービス精神★最高

両親と三人、一泊でお邪魔しました。
あいにくの雨でしたが、東大寺、国立博物館、興福寺と観光スポットから徒歩県内にあり、観光を楽しめました。
クチコミにもありましたが、チェックインしてからのスタッフさんの観光案内がとても良かった！クチコミを信用して、奈良到着と同時にこちらに伺って色々と情報を仕入れておけばよかったです。
朝ごはんの前に行った、朝の東大寺とてもよかったです。
奈良は見所がたくさんありますので、今度は一泊でなくもっとゆっくり来たいです。
テラスのお風呂もよかったです。

食事の時にせんとくんと一緒に撮っていただいた写真がすごくよくて、いい思い出になりました。
どうもありがとうございました。

朝食を少し改善してほしい。

サービスや清潔は満足でしたが、トイレが暗いのが少し気になりました。
また到着して部屋に案内された時に鞄が部屋にないのには驚きました。たまたま同じ時間に到着した人と一緒になってしまったようです。
夕食は、質量ともに満足でした。朝食も満足でしたが、普段は食べることのできる納豆、卵かけご飯や牛乳、コーヒーが飲めなかったのは残念でした。

ホテルの方のおもてなしにとても感動しました。チェックイン時にゆず茶、お水取りから帰ってきたら玄関先で葛湯を振る舞ってくださいました。
記念にと写真も撮って下さり、チェックアウトの際プリントアウトしたものをいただきました。
朝食も美味しかったですし、大浴場があるのも魅力的です！今回は東大寺、春日大社、そして近鉄奈良駅あたりを散策しました。歩くのを厭わない方であれば、立地も良いと思います。

チェックインの際、冷たいおしぼりとお茶を出していただきました。大変暑い日でしたのでありがたかったです。周辺の観光名所の行き方の説明、出かける際には、鹿せんべいと子供には、シャボン玉のサービス。お風呂の前には、コーヒーやジュースがいただけるゆったりとした休憩場所、屋上のテラスには、イスとテーブルがあり、夕暮れ時に涼みにいかせてもらいました。唯一、ハンガー等にたまったほこりが気になりましたがお値段を考えると、99.9%満足のお宿でした。

良かったです

中小規模の昭和のホテルでしたが、アップデートされて全体として快適でした。良い部屋にアップグレードしていただいたのですが、大変楽しく快適でした。
ご飯も大変美味しいかったですが、机と椅子がスチールだったのが雰囲気を若干損ねていました。
総じて素晴らしい旅行になりました。ありがとうございました。

おもてなしが良い！

おもてなしが最高で、すごく気持ちよく過ごせた。ご飯も美味しく、部屋もおしゃれ。バルコニーにあるお風呂が素敵。屋上の展望スペースもすごく綺麗で、素敵。Wi-Fiがすこし弱いところと、コンセントが電気が通っていなかったものがあったのが残念。全体的にはすごく満足。

GW直前にぎりぎり予約したのでいたしかたない部分はあるのですが
総合的な判断として少し金額が高いと思いました。
レストランの有り様をもう少し工夫しないと
従業員の顔色が伺えてしまうので不安な思いになります。

立地と従業員さんのホスピタリティー

親子で観光目的で利用させていただきました。東大寺にほど近く、従業員の方の笑顔が印象的な、アットホームなお宿で、概ね気持ちよく過ごさせていただきました。人工温泉だという大浴場も楽しませていただきました。ただ、お部屋で過ごす時間は、隣室や廊下からの話し声や足音などの物音がまる聞こえなのが気になって、心からはくつろげませんでした。２食付きのプランでしたが、お夕食の方は決して不味くはないのですが、これといって美味しいものがなく、印象薄い感じでした。それでも全体として不満に感じないのは、従業員の皆さんの笑顔の接客の賜物だと思います。

Truly Amazing

Hotel New Wakasa lifts the fame of Japanese hospitality to another level.

I have never been so welcomed by a hotel where their offering and servicing is so customer oriented, leaving a very impressive memory from start til checking out

The quality on the catering side was slightly below par but was justified by the price they charged.

All in all, it is a very nice accommodation to relax and the experience was well above expectations

Excellent accommodation. We arranged to have japanese Traditional dinner with 5 of us this time, and also traditional breakfast. They have hotel parking right at the front door and we enjoyed the walking distance (5 mins) to seeing the deer in Nara.

We had a great experience at New Hotel Wakasa and the staff were super helpful. We arrived to Nara early and the hotel was able to hold our luggage for us. During checkout, they were also able to hold our luggage for us (before 3pm) so we could spend one last afternoon in Nara luggage free before leaving the city. The hotel has been renovated and the rooms each have a unique interior design with really high quality finishes and fixtures. We got the breakfast and dinner options at the hotel and the food was great. Finally, the public bath was a great way to end the day. The hotel is a bit further from the main stores and shopping area (10-13min walk) but it is quite close to Nara park area and a few local spots. We would definitely come back in the future!

Best hotel in Nara!

Many people say do Nara as a day trip but we disagree. Nara is a wonderful town full of artisans and cutting edge design and a slower pace of life. The Hotel New Wakasa reflects that spirit and is a top notch Japanese hotel with exceptional service, gorgeous rooms and a wonderful public bath. We can’t say enough about our time there and what wonderful time we had there. Thank you!

Nice clean onsen in the room and the public bath.. Convenient parking right next to hotel. Location quite far and not easy to find when walking from shopping area of Nara especially at nite. Would be better if the newly renovated rooms has modern bed instead of Tatami as it is difficult to get up when the bed is on the floor.

Almost luxury ryokan but with a warm touch

It seems like a smaller business. The staff were very polite and helpful. We had a standard room with japanese style breakfast and dinner. Both were good experiencies. Also reserved the private bath which was nice with a good view.
Room was newly renovated and cozy.
Daily activities in Nara combined with the hotel was one of our best days in Japan. Would highly recommend

Unser Aufenthalt in dem Hotel war unser Highlight auf unserer Japanreise. Unser Zimmer war japanisch eingerichtet und hatte eine Terrasse mit Ausblick auf die Berge. Es war wunderschön und sehr sehr sauber. Wir haben einen Jukata bekommen und das Kaiseki Menü war eine tolle Erfahrung. Sehr zu empfehlen!

The staff here is absolutely wonderful. They were so kind and helpful. We had one of the smaller rooms, but still way more spacious than something in Tokyo within our price range. The room and private bath were so beautiful. We ordered the Japanese dinner and breakfast and it is a must if you stay here! You’ll try foods authentic to Nara specifically and the amount you receive is more than plenty. Would highly recommend this stay to anyone even for just one night, as that is what we did to relax in the middle of our busy trip.

This is a nice small boutique hotel with an attentive staff. My family of three, which included my wife and our young adult daughter, had been staying in more western-style hotels in Tokyo and Kyoto with 3 beds. Because of that, I was a little surprised when we arrived here and discovered a tatami room with a table and chairs and no beds or futons. What the staff explained is that when we wished to sleep we should notify them and they would come and remove the table and put down the futons. The process worked well but it did take some getting used to. They do have a very nice breakfast and onsite onsen.

The staff here are absolutely phenomenal. When I dropped off my luggage earlier in the day, they gave me a cup of yuzu tea, a homemade map of the area, crackers for the deer, and made some personalized sightseeing recommendations. After I checked in later that evening, the staff gave me a tour of the facility and made more detailed recommendations about routes, transportation, etc., for my sightseeing plans the next day. The kaiseki dinners and washoku breakfasts were both top-notch. The rooms themselves were slightly dated, even by ryokan standards, but the excellent service from the staff more than made up for it. I will absolutely stay here again if in Nara.

I usually do not leave reviews but I was so impressed with this property. The Japanese style rooms were wonderful, just be prepared to sleep on a futon on the floor. Very comfortable. The staff were exceptional, by far the best service I have had anywhere. I would highly recommend a visit to Nara and if I am ever fortunate enough to make it back would gladly stay at Hotel New Wakasa again.

Excellent hotel with incredible service

The only "disadvantage" is it takes around 20-min walk from JR station to hotel. But you may take the bus, the routes operate every 15 minutes. So I choose walking with a lot of deers along the road.
Here comes the good points:
1. Hot spring is good. The outside bath in room with good scenery. I can see Wakasa Mountain and several mountains when I was enjoying the hotel spring. It was pity that I had to leave at 10 AM so I only enjoyed the bath for 15 minutes after breakfast.
2. The staff in the restaurant are very kind and helpful. Though it was full and the staff are quite busy. they are still passionate with smile.
3. When I check-out, the staff gave me some souvenirs. Also they gave me a postcard with our photo (they took photo for us after dinner). It is so surprised that they did this little warm action. It was really a good memory.
4. All the plates, cups and kitchenware they using are with deers and traditional Japanese pattern (temples, mountain, fish, etc). I like all this kitchenware. The food are also tasty except the pork are too oily. I wish they could add more beef into the menu.
Overall, I will recommend it to you all and it will be definitely an enjoyable and unforgettable experience.

The service from check in was great. We booked our room with breakfast and dinner included and dinner was impressive. They even have a really entertaining magician going around tables to show tricks. Rooms are small and 3 pax is quite tight as we have 3 big luggages. Overall a great stay, just less than satisfactory service from one staff. Otherwise we are happy with this hotel!

We had multiple issues with the hotel management. I clarified months before we arrived that we had three people. The room we paid for sleeps five. The management sent an e-mail acknowledging we had three guests in the room. Then days before we arrived they sent an e-mail acknowledging the three guest and offering us a room in their annex hotel as a free upgrade. I did not want to change rooms. When we arrived to check in they told us it would be an extra $200 for the third person. It took a call to Orbitz to get it straightened out. I do not recommend this hotel. The room was nice, but the hassle was not worth it. Stay in Kyoto and do Nara as a day trip.
