ホテルフォルツァ京都四条河原町

思ったより部屋は狭かった。バスルームは浴槽があり、トイレと洗面台と別で良かった。
ホテルはオシャレな内装で、ロビーも涼しく快適だが、ロビー近くのトイレの匂いがきついのと、あまり綺麗ではないのと、一階がとにかく暑いのが残念。
利便性はバッチリだった。

山鉾巡行を見るために

祇園祭の山鉾巡行をベッドに座りながら見ることができました。電話で部屋を確約していただき、追加料金を払いましたが、身体が不自由な高齢者も無理なく祇園祭を楽しむ事ができました。

立地は便利で施設もきれいです。チェックインがセルフですが、機械が正常作動せず、結局スタッフが対応し余計時間がかかる、といったことはありました。部屋にもよるのかもしれませんが、四条通りに面した部屋は暴走族の爆音などで夜中もそれなりにうるさいです。

ここ数年、この時期に京都旅行に行っています。
京都駅内や周辺に宿泊していましたが、初めて四条河原町の当ホテルを利用しました。

色々な場所に行くにも便利だし、市街地は賑やかだけど、ホテル内はとても綺麗でとても良かったです。
welcomeお酒サービスも嬉しかったです。
フロント周辺の共用スペースが使いやすく、そこでお酒や無料のコーヒーサービスを頂きました。

入口のサインがあまり主張していないけど、わかりやすくおしゃれでとても気に入りました。
お部屋も余計なモノはなく◎。

一つ要望としては、備え付けのソファとテーブルは良いですが、2人だとお部屋で2人で朝食をとった時に、小さな椅子が一つあると食べやすいかな、と思います。スペースの関係で置くのが難しければ折りたたみ椅子でもあればと思いました。
それ以外満足です。

また来年も早めに予約して利用したいと思います。

部屋ではなく、フロントのあるフロアの共有トイレを使用しましたところ、びっくりするくらい汚いものでした。その前に使用された客の使い方だったのかもしれませんが、残念でした。

また連泊していたこともあり、こちらも悪かったのですが、タオル等々を電話にて替えていただくようにお願いしました。が、バスタオルのみで、フェイスタオルやバスマットはなく残念でした。部屋のクリーニングはしていただかなくともその辺りは替えての物をいただきたかったです。

室内はホコリぽい。
浴室はシンクはなくシャワーのみ、小さな子連れには少し不便である。
部屋には水は1人一本用意されている。
受付隣のラウンジではコーヒー、お酒も1人一杯無料で飲める。
立地としてはとても便利であった。

風呂場が広くてきれい。
部屋が狭い。窓ガラスが透明でないので、外が見えないのは圧迫感がある。朝食が良かったですが、コーヒーは不味かったのは残念でした。

交通便利な四条通りで河原町と烏丸の間と言う抜群のロケーションで、自分で歩き回れる観光者にとても良い拠点を提供している。京都駅へも地下鉄2駅でつながり、域外との機動性に恵まれている。

ロビーにあるコーヒーマシンが一台しかなく、渋滞が起こっていました。

バス・トイレが別になっており、シャワーも快適でした。

客室スペースの大部分がベッドで、二人でお茶を飲むには不便かもしれません。そのため、ロビーラウンジにはダイニングスペースがあるようです。

すぐ近くにお粥専門店があり、朝７時から朝粥が楽しめます。

It is very central with many shops around including the Nintendo one right next door. The rooms are small for two people but it is expected when located in the city center. Overall, it was a good location.

Bed was a little uncomfortable , particularly the pillows.
First room had frosted windows and felt claustrophobic, asked to move and the next room was much better with a view of the street .

Great hotel, quite in the center - bus stop is closeby and train station is below. Staff are very super helpful. Breakfast is good as well with local dishes like eel also served.

Hotel offers free sake drinks for two everyday and also arranges for luggage transport with Yamato- super convenient!

Our family of 4 stayed here for 2 nights. The room was spacious and clean, we enjoyed the free coffee and tea downstairs and the hotel is in a great location. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Kyoto.

Nice and clean property. Decent amenities. A lot of shopping and restaurants in the area. Really conveniently that the B1 leads to the subway. It would be nicer to have more laundry machines and a bigger laundry and ice area. It would also be convenient if we could place our dirty towels and trash outside and get new ones every day without having to get an entire room cleaning. Overall, great property to stay at!

Chambre trop petite

Attention au détails de votre chambre.
J ai réservé pour 4 personnes (2 adultes et 2 enfants) et je n'ai pas fait attention mais je me suis retrouvé avec une chambre à 2 lits 1 place... option pas possible normalement en France mais a priori au Japon ça passe.
En plus, petit déjeuner que pour 2 personnes sinon supplément à rajouter.
Sinon la situation géographique est idéale, sur avenue commerçante la plus chic (de la ville) et à 2 pas de Gion. Idéal pour se promener le soir.

Bien et idéalement placé

Attention, les grands lits simples qui sont proposés pour dormir avec des enfants de moins de 12 ans sont bien trop petits, contrairement au 5 autres hôtels que nous avons testé durant notre séjour au Japon.

I sent the messages to the hotel and ask for the high floor and nice view when I made reservation in April. Also I asked the hotel which room type can have high floor and nice view. However no reply from the hotel. When I checked in on Jul 13, I found that my room was without any view. If the hotel couldn’t meet my requirements, should let the guest know in advance so we can do other arrangements. The hotel then provided me options; move to lower floor with view or downgrade to another category on the 2nd day. I feel disappointed with this hotel in Kyoto.

Great location. Walkable to Nishiki Market and Gion. Lots of shopping centers nearby and has access to the underground walkway. Our double bed (twin sized) room was a tight squeeze for our family of four (2 kids aged 11 & 9) but we made it work by pushing the two beds together. Breakfast buffet (additional cost) was very convenient and had a great variety). Staff was great in answering questions we had.

Hard to find a better location in Kyoto. Very clean and modern hotel. Felt upscale while the price was reasonable. Only complaint would be the noise in the room at night. Sometimes it sounded like an aquarium or a coffee maker running all night. Low volume but still noticeable.

Check in & out was so quick & easy, especially checking out - you just put your key card into a machine & you’re done. The hotel is in a great area as indicated by the ‘What did you like?’ section above. The rooms were always cleaned & restocked with bottled water, towels, etc.

Kyoto Trip

We had a great stay at Hotel Forza. The rooms were clean and the bathroom was spacious. I loved the shower and bathtub combo. We enjoyed the drink machine with coffee and matcha options. I appreciated the evening free sake was a nice touch. You just asked the front desk for a coin. The front desk was very helpful. They helped with getting a taxi, making dinner reservations and much more. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would come back.

It is really safe around the hotel. I woke up at 3am due to jetlag. I decided to go across the hotel to 7/11. I never felt this safe in the US. We are going back next year. Definitely will be staying with Forza Kyoto. The staff were friendly and helpful.

This is a no frills hotel. You check in via machine. We asked for an extra pillow but they don’t have any. Cleaning service is only 10-1:30.

Nonetheless, the location is excellent, the room is very nice and relatively speaking it’s inexpensive for where and what you get. Would definitely stay again and recommend as long as you aren’t looking for a lot of extras.

Fantastic Stay at Hotel Forza Kyoto Shijo Kawaramachi – Highly Recommend!

We spent five wonderful days in Kyoto in early June and chose Hotel Forza Kyoto Shijo Kawaramachi for its unbeatable location—and it did not disappoint! Nestled in the heart of a vibrant neighborhood, the hotel is steps away from Nishiki Market and surrounded by endless shopping streets. Yet, despite the lively surroundings, our room was peaceful and quiet, offering the perfect retreat after a day of exploring.

The hotel itself has so many thoughtful touches. The lobby, located one level down, provides direct access to the subway, making transportation a breeze. We also loved the full breakfast and relaxing lounge area, but the real standout was the beverage machine with Tsujiri Matcha Latte—so delicious that guests lined up for it (pro tip: grab it early before it runs out!).

Our room was spacious by Japanese standards, and the shower was incredibly comfortable, which was a welcome luxury. We also appreciated the two complimentary bottled waters daily (just ask the friendly lobby staff if you need them in advance).

Hotel Forza truly elevated our Kyoto experience, blending convenience, comfort, and excellent service. We’d highly recommend staying here—you won’t regret it! ;)

Stayed as a family of 3. Room had 3 single beds, and a couch that you cannot open. There is almost no room left for walking in the room (small size). However it was very very clean hotel. Staff was going above and beyond. They are very helpful. Here are pros and cons;
Pros: Location is perfect (great stores, right across 7/11, very close to Nishiki market, walking distance to shops and Gion). Very safe area, close to several public transportation. Bathroom is very clean and functional.
Cons: room size is very small, especially if you have hardcover luggages. Even though light is coming from outside, our room has frosty windows, there is no way to see outside.

Great location. Great room. Breakfast was good. Staff friendly and very helpful. No negatives that come to mind. I used luggage forwarding to/ from this hotel - very handy and worth the cost.

Laundry washer/dryer machine was very handy. There are two on floor 2, and two on floor 3. Never done laundry myself in hotel before, but instructions were ok, and happy with results. A web page tells you how long left for wash cycle so washing can be left while it is running . No need for washing powder as it has its own.

If you are in Kyoto to sightsee (going to Arashiyama, Fushimi Inari, etc.), there may be better locations to reside in but if you are looking to mostly shop, this is a great location.

Great little hotel in a great area. One little complaint is the bed: it’s pretty firm, which is normal for Japan, but along with small, flat pillows it’s a bit uncomfortable even in Japan standards. Rooms are a bit larger than normal though.
