ニオイが気になりました

家族で宿泊なんですが、娘家族と息子家族、3家族、一部屋だけ離れてしまい、少し大変でした。
部屋はタバコのニオイが気になりました。

良いお宿です

旅行サイトなどでの口コミはあまり良くなかったので、正直不安でしたが、想像以上に良かったです。
接客も丁寧で良い思い出になりました。

桧の香るお風呂でした。
宿の方も温かく迎えてもらい、お部屋も広々、アメニティも揃って食事も海の幸を美味しく頂きました。伊勢のゆっくりした時間を満喫できました。

楽しめます。

写真で見るのとは違って本物のほうが断然よかったです。嵐が来ていましたが、次の日はカラッと晴れ、海も楽しめました。次回は直接電話予約をして
海の見える部屋をお願いします。お風呂も改装中でしたがすごくよかったです。

アットホームなお宿♪

ご主人が出して下さるサンセットクルーズは…夕日が沈むまでゆっくり…と。気分良いまま、すぐに夕食が食べられて幸せでした。奥さんも…きちんと顔と名前を覚えてて下さって、温かかったです。とてもいい旅行になりました。

檜と海の香りに溢れた手作り感いっぱいの宿

リワードを利用して家族四名一泊山側部屋でお世話になりました。湾に面した宿で、幹線道路から対向不能の坂道をずーっと降りた先にありました。ほんとに静かで、ぼーっとゆっくりしたい人は癒される要素盛り沢山です。特に檜づくしの大浴場は最高でした。別棟なのでお風呂も食事も下駄をはいて中庭を移動します。夜は、一人でお風呂に行くのは、ちょっと怖いくらいに静かでした。料理は、朝食はお重に入った手作り満載で美味しかったです。夕食は、品数と量は多かったですし、美味しいですが、このエリアの特産のカキやサザエ、伊勢海老、新鮮な刺身などのようなものはないです。お刺身は少々、小さなカニや貝、アオサはありました。料理旅館と思うとがっかりするかもしれません。温かい家庭的なもてなしです。食事処の隣の広いデッキにはブランコや卓球台などがあり、木で出来ていて、とても素敵な空間で、かわいいワンちゃんもいて癒されました。
苦言としては、コインランドリーが壊れていて使えないと言われたことと、23キロの大型スーツケースを持って、ひどく急で狭い長い階段を部屋まで搬出入するのが大変でした。特にその階段の下りは怖くて、身の危険を感じました。あちこちに節電を呼び掛けるステッカーがありましたが、せめて荷物を搬出入する時くらいは、業務用？のエレベーターを使えるようにしてほしいです。
部屋は、和室が3部屋つながってて、とても広くてゆったり出来ました。

素晴らしい朝日、ホスピタリティ、ご飯

最寄駅からは遠いですが送迎してもらえます。朝ごはんを食べながらの朝日は感動的な美しさでしたし、宿の方もとても親切で観光の相談に乗ってくれました。犬好きの方なら看板犬のマドレーヌちゃんに癒されます！！ご飯もとっても美味しかった！またリピートしたいです。

元真珠の養殖をおこなっていた家が旅館に変わったそうですが、オーナーが外国生活経験者なので、日本旅館ではあるが、細かいところに、洋風の匂いが感じられた。たとえば、木のブランコ、木の卓球台、など。

露天風呂から眺める海の景色は最高です。

素晴らしいサービス

素晴らしいサービスでした。直前の予約だったので部屋は山側で海が見えないところでした。入り江に入っていく道が狭くて本当にこの先にホテルがあるの？って感じましたが、非日常感があり悪くはありませんでした。部屋は隣の声が聞こえるのが残念でした。忘れ物を差出人払いで送っていただき感謝です（着払いと思ってました）。

やる気が感じられない

ご飯が時間通りに用意されてなかったり、お茶が来てもコップが無かったりと、せめて、サービスがもっと充実していれば良かった。食事も、BBQ用のアスパラが凍ったり、肉が硬かったりと、残念だった。

A wonderful and unique place. Difficult to say what we preferred best: the fantastic view, the delicious and sophisticated food prepared by a first-class chef, the hospitable and gentle owners and their staff, the excursions that could be easily made from the hotel (also by boat!)....

Great food and a place to get away from it all

This hotel is on a quiet inlet of the bay away from the day to bustle of the nearby village. A great place to go for downtime, with excellent food.

Wonderful

Quiet
Far away to the centre
The dog is very lovely and she always wait for guest to open the glass door !!!
The staff is helpful and nice even they cannot speak English so well (but communicable), and a staff is from Taiwan (but do not know the situation of her, maybe just holding working visa to start a temp. Job in Japan)
Highly recommended but please do not drive to there if your driving skill is not good enough

Very unique hotel in Shima

Its not only a room but a suite, very comfy beds, very nice sea view as well. Good quality & delicious breakfast & dinner. Eventhough the location is a bit far away from the city center & Ugata train station but pick up service to and fro the train station could be arranged in advance. Would like to come to Shima once more and for sure would stay in this hotel again.

The Best Choice during my trip

Excellent hôtel

Cet hôtel présente d'excellentes prestations, le personnel est très agréable et aux petits soins aux moindres requêtes. Petit déjeuner et dîner exceptionnel typique japonnais. Chambre très confortable et spacieuse. Bien équipée. Vue magnifique, je vous conseille virement cet hôtel.

Fremragende ryokan i smukke omgivelser

Jeg havde to overnatninger på denne fantastiske ryokan. Den ligger lige ned til vandet og man kan se ud over hele bugten. Maden var fremragende og baderummene var store og flotte.
Hiogiso ligger ca. 10 minutters kørsel fra den nærmeste station, men personalet kan sørge for at man bliver transporteret frem og tilbage.
Jeg kan varmt anbefale Hiogiso hvis man vil prøve at bo på en traditionel ryokan i smukke omgivelser.

Paradise

by far the best experience we have had to date in Japan, the owner was extremely kind and helpful and made the entire experience marvelous. we stayed for two nights and ate at the restaurant for both. The cooking was comparable to Michelin thee star restaurants and is not to be missed. Our room was upgraded to a suite overlooking the aga bay on both sides and could not have been more comfortable. The Japanese style room was impeccable and extremely comfortable, with a terrace overlooking the bay. The best part was the hospitality of the owner, Takanobu, who was extremely helpful and generous. One night we were the only guests there so we had the onsen all for ourselves. The second night he had a group of 30 people and closed off the onsen to other guests as well, an experience not to be missed. We also took a boat ride the second night and got a tour of the bay. Overall the experience was extremely relaxing and much needed after a week of temple touring in the Kyoto area. If I could give ten stars I would give eleven!

The Real Japan, highly recommended.

This is a traditional Japanese Inn type lodging. The view is spectacular and the environment is very much reminiscent of "old Japan." It's best to order the room with the meal plan because there are no restaurants nearby. The food is typically Japanese and fresh from the area. The hot spring bath is very comfortable and offers a view of the sea. They still cultivate oysters in the making of cultured pearls in the sea. The service is very friendly and they speak some English.

Traumhotel

Wir hatten eine fantastische Zeit dort. Herr und Frau Watanabe sind sehr sehr freundlich, nett und zuvorkommend, das Essen ist ausgesprochen köstlich, das Onsen ist super und unser scönes Zimmer war riesig (Wohn- und Schlafbereich getrennt) mit Blick auf die Meeresbucht.
Die Abholung ist verlässlich und uns wurde jeder Wunsch von den Augen abgelesen.
Ein ausgezeichneter Ort für Erholung von den hektischen Großstädten!

Personligt värdhus, egen brygga i fantasiskt läge!

Väldigt trevligt par som driver hotellet, och mannen kan tala engelska. Väldigt personligt och nyligen renoverat värdshus. Trevligt bad med havsutsikt. Vissa rum har altan vid bryggan. Ägarna har en båt på vilken man kan boka in sig på en fantastisk solnedgångskryssning. Rekommenderar att boka in frukost och middag på värdshuset. Maten är gudomlig! Nära till Ise och andra sevärdheter.

Nice hotel on pearl fishing coat.

Located directly on the Ugata bay (the U in Ugata means cormorants which you will see around the bay). We had a nice surf & turf dyi barbecue with local seafood. The friendliness of Watanabe Takanobo-san was one of the highlights of our holiday - very open minded and interested in the guests. He is also an expert in pearls. The hotel is family oriented (play area for kids on terrace). Helps if you like dogs (we do) because the hotel has 3 of them. Recommend doing a boat trip directly from the hotel. Enjoyed the hot spring baths next to the water. Would like to spend more time in the area but would definitely take a car. Traditional rooms with futon beds. Very relaxing stay.

Wonderful

This was our first (and best) place we stayed in on our 10 day trip to Japan. After some pre-planning accessing the hotel was easy despite it's somewhat remote location: from Nagoya airport we took a speed boat to Matsusaka and then Kintetsu train to Ugata, where we were picked up by the hotel owner. We had a traditional tatami room with a beautiful view over the bay. We made a day trip to Ise temple area by train - owner kindly drove us to the train station and picked us up after the trip. Food was excellent - even breakfasts were like mini-kaiseki dinners. The whole experience was wonderful and authentic.

Awesome Ryokan

This ryokan has a wonderful view overlooking the ocean, the room that we stayed in was quite large with a separate sleeping area, living area and bathroom. The meals, both breakfast and dinner were excellent. The owners were very helpful and picked us up and dropped us off at the train station every day while we were touring around the area. We often stay in ryokans when we visit Japan, and this one would receive my absolute highest rating.

Amazing Views of Ago Bay

Beautiful hotel right on the waters of Ago Bay, with sweeping views from both our room and the indoor / outdoor onsen. Everything is made from gorgeous cypress wood. The ryokan owners and staff were so kind to us - picking us up at the train station, driving us to a lookout point, and sharing their love of Japan. (They can communicate in English too!) We had a wonderful, massive course dinner and lovely bento breakfast filled with local specialties and sea foods. It was so relaxing to sit on the deck and pet their nice dog while watching fishermen check their nets. It takes a bit of time to get here - but once you do you won't want to leave. The only thing we regret is not staying longer... Next time!
