お部屋にヒノキの内風呂と露天風呂があり、大風呂も誰もいなくて独り占めでした！しかも源泉かけ流し！チェックイン前に荷物を預かっていただいた時の対応が神でした！冬は渡月橋の上を渡る風が寒くて、露天風呂から眺めるだけにしました。

素敵なお宿。

お昼間でも人目を気にせず渡月橋を見下ろし源泉掛け流し露天風呂をツツジの香りと相まって堪能しました、また扉を開けて檜風呂に入ると景色を眺められる２つのお風呂が備わっています。夜のお部屋食で肉類苦手な事お伝えしましたら直ぐに対応して下さいました。味も上品でお野菜を見事な包丁さばきと器で目からも楽しませて戴きました。食べ切れない御飯を夜食おにぎり握って下さり有り難いです。お布団の上げ下ろし二人で手早いです。朝御飯を普通ご飯お粥と薬膳粥から選ばせて戴きました。静かでくつろげる素敵な滞在と成りました、心に残るきめ細やかな接客ありがとうございます。

食事が残念

スタッフの方のサービス、気遣いは、この地区では最高に良かったです。
残念だったのは食事でした。
懐石料理（部屋食）でしたが、京都の懐石料理としては残念。
出汁の深さが無く、関西風（？）の味でした。
料理長さん、もう少し見直しをお願いします。
スタッフの方たちのサービスは非常に素晴らしいのに残念です。

とても静かで奇麗で素敵な所でした、ただ、泊まるだけと言う感じがです。ロビーのソフォーの所とか机でのんびりしていてもお茶の飲む所もなく、Hotelに慣れているのかノーサービスと言う感じがしました。

観光地でありながら静かな落ち着いたお宿

嵐山からすぐにも関わらず非常に静かなお宿でした。
担当の方もお若いながら一生懸命さと笑顔に非常に好感がもてました。
こちらのリクエストにもすぐにご対応いただき、気持ちの良い宿泊となりました。
朝ごはんもお庭を見ながら静かに美味しくいただけました。
また是非伺いたいお宿でした。

中国からの団体客のキャンセルがあったそうで、静かに過ごせました。
大浴場も貸切状態でした。
ちなみに部屋風呂も檜（かな？）風呂で綺麗でした。

嵐山を静かに堪能できます

館内どこにも埃ひとつ無い清潔さからも、おもてなしの心が伝わって来ます。
日本の風情を静かに味わいたい方におすすめします。
嵐山の一等地の宿にふさわしく、宿の方々のきめ細かい応対に心休まる思いがしました。
かけ流しの露天風呂もよいです。それに加えて感嘆したのは部屋のひのき風呂でした。
庭も美しいです。

嵐山 嵐月の感想

敷布団に血液と思われるシミがあったり、敷布団一枚で、かなり薄いのが寝心地としては、不満足。部屋がフロントの隣というのもプライベートの観点から居心地が悪い。空いてる他の部屋に案内すべき。満室では無かったことを知っていたので残念。部屋のお風呂場は、とても良かったです。

個人の主観では。

学生以来の京都旅行を友人と計画し、二泊目のお宿をこちらにしました。
総合評価を４とさせて頂きましたがほぼ５にしたいくらいの４です(笑)
ただすっごく満足！と大きく声を大にしては言えないので４にしました。
お値段がこちらの旅館ではお安かったので景観があまりよくないお部屋だったことと、（宿入ってフロントすぐのお部屋ってなんかがっかりですので…）夜遅くに出かけたい場合門限があるようだったことと布団をしまいに来てくださるのですがぎりぎりまで寝ていたいタイプなので30分も早く支度しておかないといけないのが個人的にはうーん…となってしまいました。
1泊目のお宿が夜食サービスや大きい温泉などあり、気温が寒くて外に出るのが億劫だったのでお夜食かおやつが買えるスペースがあったらよかったなぁ…と思ってしまいました。
コンビニまで結構遠いので…。
スタッフの方々はとても親切で素敵な方々でしたので性格？によると思います。
あげたどの点も受けとり方によって良さにもなりますので。
設備は1泊目の方が魅力的でしたが食事は朝食のみのプランでしたがとてもおいしくて、京都で食べた中で一番おいしかったです。ありがとうございました。

「おもてなし」を感じされる旅館

ちょっとした用事で外に出る時も玄関まで見送っていただけるなど、非常に細やかな気配りが感じられる旅館でした。
観光客がごった返す通りから徒歩で3分程度外れており、部屋数も15部屋くらいで少ないため、静かでゆっくりとできます。

嵐山を見ながら部屋付き露天風呂につかる、これ贅沢なり。

部屋付き露天風呂も部屋のお風呂も常時お湯を出しっ放しで、いつでも楽しめる感が楽しい。就寝時は、湯量が多い分音が気になるタイプには寝付きに障るかも。露天風呂はつかりながら嵐山の四季を堪能出来そうな見晴らしが最高。風呂が深めで冬でも寒くない。一日中、入っていたいと思った。
タクシーで旅館まで行ったのですが、車までお出迎え、到着に合せてお部屋にお茶の支度をしてくれていた。
お料理は、季節感、年間行事の特色を取り入れられており、目でも楽しむことが出来た。

まず、桂川沿いの静かな最高のロケーション。掛け流しの温泉、料理も非常に美味しかったです。ホテルの皆さんの対応も気が利いてかつ控えめでよかったです。ありがとうございます

最高のひと時を過ごせました。

仲居さんをはじめ、おもてなしが細部に至るまで行き届いている素晴らしい旅館でした。朝食を頂きましたが、種類が多く、何から食べようか迷うくらいで、大変満足でした。
紅葉シーズンの連休中での宿泊ということで、若干お値段ははりましたが、それでも心から泊まって良かったと思っております。
また嵐山を伺うことがありましたら、ぜひ利用させて頂きたく思います。
本当にありがとうございました。

快適な接客と美味しい食事

せっかくの嵐山観光なので良い宿に泊まってみたいと思い、こちらの旅館に宿泊させて頂きました。
接客、内装、食事どれもが素晴らしく楽しい時間が過ごせました。

アプローチには非常に高級感がありますが、
門をくぐるとすぐにスタッフの方が笑顔で出迎えて下さるため、
気後れすることなく入館出来ます。
また、嵐山観光の案内も丁寧で、鵜飼見学のチケットを宿で手配して頂ける等、
観光の手間を省くありがたいサポートもあります。
生憎お伺いした日は雨でしたが、
チェックアウト時にビニール傘を頂く事が出来、非常に助かりました。

(ホテルの設備及びコンディション 評価４)
ロビーのソファーが非常に快適で、荷物預けの際のちょっとした休憩にありがたかったです。
2Fの欄干等、細部にユニークな造りがあるため、館内を見ているだけでも楽しむ事が出来ます。
唯一、早い時間帯の露天の湯音が低かった点が残念でしたが、
夜にもう一度入浴した際には改善されていました。

客室の清潔さについて、気になる点は全くありませんでした。

(部屋の快適度 評価４)
特別豪華な設えというわけではありませんが、
清潔感にあふれ、座椅子等も使い易くリラックスできます。
出来れば座椅子用以外に座布団もしくはクッションがもう一組あると、
体勢を崩したい時に楽だと感じました。

(食事 評価５)
夕朝(+到着時の茶菓子)共に大満足でした。
抹茶で和えた鱧のお吸い物やあけびの天ぷらとゴマダレ等、
美味しいだけでなく、創意工夫のなされた食事で話も盛り上がりました。
食事目当てだけでもまた伺いたいです。

とても静かで落ち着いた宿でした

露天風呂つきの部屋を利用しましたが、建物も綺麗でとても落ち着いた雰囲気のなかでゆったり過ごせました。食事もとても美味しく、満足できました。

The hotel is beautiful and in a gorgeous area of Kyoto. It is walking distance to the shopping area, Monkey Park, and Bamboo forest. The staff was very caring and helpful. The rooms were so clean and comfortable. I loved my stay there and will definitely go back.

The good stuff: location was excellent, staff was very friendly: our luggage was brought to our room while we were out sightseeing, the dinner service was excellent. The little sitting area was picturesque and lovely to sit in.

The bad stuff: we booked a room with an outdoor onsen as it overlooked the mountains and rivers. However, it is not very private as there are people walking the streets right in front of the onsen so you have to pull the shades and hide your view. The room next to us had an onsen as well right behind the. Bamboo wall and we could hear every word they said. The light was burnt out in the bathroom and we couldn’t see very well. Also in the pictures it looked like there was a small platform for the beds. There isn’t. Only one pillow was provided as well.

The caution: this was our first stay (and probably last) in a ryokan. For $1000 a night we felt like we were camping. There is no place to rest during the day. After a long hot day of sightseeing, a shower and a rest before dinner is ideal. However your bed isn’t placed out until after dinner. For breakfast they have to come and put your bed away and the latest they will do that is at 8:30 am. We should have declined breakfast and slept in as there are great places in town to eat. There was no place to hang the hand held shower to stand up. You have to sit and shower.

We should have been more discerning in our search for a ryokan. Hope this review helps someone else.

We had an amazing time during our stay. The service was impeccable and personalized. We had a kaiseki dinner and breakfast, both of which were a great way of learning more about Japanese culture. I definitely recommend spending a little more to get the dinner. They also provided us a celebratory dish since this was our honeymoon trip!


We also got the room with a half open- air hot spring bath which was particularly relaxing to soak in after a busy day of walking. I will love to come back to stay again in the future!

Most amazing relaxing luxurious experience on a vacation ever. The staff are very gracious and attentive. The views from our apartment and our dining room were peaceful and gorgeous. We enjoyed our private outdoor bathing to sooth our hiking and standing feet/bodies. The location is beautiful, perfectly located near attractions to be reached on foot - bamboo forest, kimono forest, seeing monkeys and the scenery all around is spectacular. I would love to go there an annual retreat for us and next time enjoy the rickshaw rides and biking. The food was amazing and uniquely prepared and presented. Come hungry as it is 8 to 9 courses. You won’t leave hungry. The rooms in our apartment were very spacious and delightful. The place is immaculately clean. We were provided with comfy attractive Yukata to wear and can wear to dining room. Definitely a place to make memories as the experience was incredible and pampering. The in room amenities and food were also outstanding. Highly recommend- already told family to put this on their next vacation list. Especially good areas for cyclists and viewing Sakura in spring.

퍼블릭목욕탕은 굳이 이용안하셔도됩니다

제방의 욕조 옆 창문은 페이크이었고
히노끼탕은 부분히노끼인거 같습니다
화장실 분리되어있고
샤워실,히노끼탕 이용시 공기가 차갑게하려고 한의도인거같은데 단순 샤워만할땐 추워요 ㅜㅜ
온도 조절이 전 못찾아서

한국인이 많이 오는거 같아요
조식도 메뉴가 다양하게 좋았습니다

Staff went far beyond what we expected. Every single person was always accommodating and helpful.
The room was magnificent. In hindsight I think a regular tub would have been enough. The huge ceramic outside tub was beautiful, but being from California and drought conditions I felt guilty filling up the huge tub every night. Also eloquent, but if you are seniors, or have any hip/back complaints, there were multiple stairs inside our room. Although shallow, two up at entry. Two down for living room and one up for futon area.
We had breakfasts which were eloquently prepared. But beware that they are geared for the Japanese taste (as would/should be expected) so various fishes/seafood and vegetables maybe a bit foreign. Even the ‘western’ breakfast was not typical of the US. On the second morning we were served spaghetti with 2 kinds of fish, cold Japanese rolled eggs, and the ubiquitous salad, and of course rolls/bread.

We stayed in a room with a private onsen and it was probably the highlight of our entire trip. Everything was conveniently around our stay as well which made it very convenient to walk for food or shopping. The staff was also incredibly helpful and friendly! I recommend this stay 10/10.

This is one of the best places I have ever stayed - business or pleasure. The location was perfect - close to the bridge and to the restaurants - and steps away from the river. The rooms were spacious, so comfortable and we had an ensuite Onzen which was amazing. The team at the Onzen was 5 stars - If I could give more I would. Every need was met - sometimes before we even asked for or realize we needed it. From check in to check out time... they made us feel so special.

We had dinner and breakfast on site, I would highly recommend it!

My only regret - I wish we would have stayed longer.

Our experience at Ryotei Rangetsu was amazing. The service was thoughtful, efficient, and organized, they really thought of everything, allowing us to fully relax our minds. The annex room with a private onsen was wonderful and had a stunning view of the river and mountains. It was also spacious but comfortable, especially the futons that they lay out for sleep. We chose to include the dinner as well, which was delicious and very filling. Overall the stay was 5 stars for us.

We had stayed at the Ryotei Rangetsu for two nights and absolutely loved our stay there! The friendliness, respectfulness and willingness to provide a wonderful experience by the staff is really unmatched. Yamaguchi-San and everyone else there deserve the highest praise.

As for the property itself, it is ideally located in Arashiyama and within walking distance to the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, Tenryu-Ji Temple and all of the shops & restaurants in the area. We had a traditional room with tatami floors and a beautiful view outdoors to our very own garden and the river. Every night the staff would prepare our futon beds, and every morning they would put them away in preparation for our Japanese style breakfasts (which were delicious). Our room also not only had an indoor soaking tub, but it had our own outdoor onsen on our patio as well (which we used on both nights!)

We also opted for one Kaiseki dinner which lasted about 1 1/2 hours on our first night there which was both delicious and was amazingly presented.

Also, a few examples of their excellent customer service was when they wouldn’t let us bring our heavy suitcase back and forth to our room ourselves (they carried it), they would bring our shoes to us whenever we left to go outside, and when we left on a taxi to leave Kyoto, they said goodbye to us and bowed as the taxi was leaving and only when the taxi was out of sight….would they stop bowing.

So yes, I would highly recommend the Ryotei Rangetsu!

A gem of a place

From the first moment we arrived we knew it was a special place. We received a warm welcome, got escorted to our room and give welcome drinks and cookies. Our room was immaculate. We had a beautiful view of the river and our own private Japanese garden and inside and outside onsen bath. We were provided with breakfast and dinner in the kaiseki style in our own room. The food was spectacular very fresh and full of local flavours. The service was impeccable, personal and friendly. The location was perfect for local sightseeing.
We absolutely loved our stay and heartily recommend it.

This ryokan is exceptional! The place is beautiful and we were able to have an outdoor furo as well as a cedar wood furo inside the room.

simply wonderful

We had a magical time at Ryotei Rangetsu. The breakfast was delightful and exquisitely prepared; they accommodated one of our party being vegan. The private outdoor bath attached to our room was wonderful. The staff spoiled us with the epitome of hospitality.

it is located int he most picturesque part of Kyoto-- Just on the river. One can not expect more than that. It far from central districts but it is worth it during very high tourist season.

A wonderful experience

My fiancée and I stayed at a ryokan for the first time, and Ryokan Rangetsu couldn't have been a better experience! We stayed for one night, and when it was time to leave, we wished we had stayed longer. The ryokan is truly beautiful, and the staff is very attentive and friendly. Our room maid, whose name we regrettably cannot remember, was polite and made our visit feel truly special. Our room was spacious, clean and cozy, and the backyard very beautiful. We also enjoyed the outdoor bath a lot! The onsen was nice as well. We didn't have dinner, but the traditional Japanese breakfast was delicious and great experience. The location of the ryokan in Arashiyama is very convenient. All in all, we cannot recommend Ryokan Rangetsu enough, and wish to stay there again.

Our stay in the room with the private hot spring bath was more than just a nights stay but an experience on its own. With the room being at the foot of the mountain overlooking the river, theres no shortage of breaktaking scenery. The unbelievable full service dinner and breakfast served and presented on beautiful tableware was artwork. A quiet, private and relaxing experience that made my wife and I feel like royalty. Walking distance from multiple local shops and other activities, Ryotei Rangetsu is one of the reasons we will be returning to Kyoto.

Staying here was one of the absolute highlights of our trip. I can't say enough nice things. The location was good. It was a beautiful property with very nice rooms. The service was absolutely outstanding and the food was amazing. Years of travel have made me slightly picky around hotels and this really exceeded my every expectation. We hope to return in the future!

아라시야마를 천천히 여유롭게 구경하고 즐기기 위해 1박을 하기로 하고 숙소를 찾던 중 발견한 야외 노천탕이 있는 객실의 사진으로 인해 무조건 이곳으로 예약완료!
도게츠 다리가 보이는 아름다운 뷰의 객실도 매우 맘에 들었고, 객실 내부나 지하층에 있는 공용욕실도 매우 깔끔하고 관리가 잘돼어 있어서 좋았습니다.
가이세키 요리가 예전에 일본 타 지역의 료칸에서 묵었을때와 비교해서 너무 퀄리티가 떨어진다는 점이 유일한 단점이었던 것 같습니다.
가장 좋았던 것은 역시나 료칸 직원 모두의 엄청난 친절과 서비스였고 나카이상의 한결같았던 다정함과 친절에 너무 감동했습니다.
꼭 부모님의 모시고 다시 한번 방문해보고싶어요!

The hotel is located in a wonderful location， Just few minutes walk to the Main Street at Arashiyama. Staff provide excellent services and all of them are very helpful. Dinner and breakfast is very healthy and delicious. Rooms and public onsen is very clean. Hotel rate is very reasonable. I am very satisfied with everything in this hotel and I will come back next time when I go to Arashiyama.

This was the best accommodation we have ever stayed at. The staff is better than ANY 5-star hotel I’ve stayed at, they provide very personal and helpful service. Which is likely easy for them as there are only a few rooms in the property. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, all amenities are provided and yes, traditional robes are provided as well during the stay. The nearby attractions like the Bamboo walk and Monkey Park are minutes away by foot. There’s great street food nearby, though they do close by 5-6pm. Overall, would highly highly recommend a stay at Ryotei Rangetsu if you are able to get an available room.

One of the highlights of the trip. An absolute must if you want to stay in a traditional Ryokan. Location was an added bonus to the bamboo forest and monkey park. Staff was top notch!

The staff were I kind and extremely thoughtful. We went out for a walk in the rain. They gave us umbrellas but our shoes still got wet. They put our shoes in a drying compartment so when we came back down to go to dinner, they were warm and dry. Our rooms was large with a beautiful view. I would stay here again!

온천도 좋았고, 개인 욕조도 좋았습니다. 추운 바깥에 있다가 방에 들어왔을 때 느껴지는 따듯함이 감동이었어요. 조식도 정갈하게 좋았고, 직원분들 서비스가 최고였습니다. 제대로 대접받은 느낌입니다. 덕분에 아라시야마에서 좋은 추억 남기고 갑니다.

Ryotei Rangetsu was excellent! The staff were friendly and accommodating. The property was clean, spacious, and the onsen easily accesible and well kept. The location is also excellent. Right outside of the Main Street, on the river, but quiet. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The staffs are very friendly, the food is very good.

After we check out, the staff contacted us about an item being left in our room. At the end, the staff delivered the item to our hotel in downtown Kyoto. This shows their hospitality and care to their customers.

100% would revisit.

Warm and helpful staff who shows Japanese hospitality. Great location. Shops and restaurants are just at the corner. Facing the river and hills, great view. Spacious, clean and comfortabletradition Japanese style room. Delicious meals. Nice hot spring bath facilities.

很差勁的體驗。體驗接待的前台衣著不整齊而且沒化妝 太沒禮儀了。房間太小 2人的行李箱打開了就沒位置行走 空調不能調較溫度。公共溫泉只有浴缸的面積 太小太小了 而且室外溫泉的水是冷的 室內溫泉的水是靜止的沒有流動 公共更衣室全地頭髮 完全不能容忍。在公共溫泉沒有飲用水供應 打電話到前台要求 他們說沒有這項服務 太無言了 這麼貴的旅館 拿2枝水都不行。這是我住過最差的旅館。不推薦。

The dinner and breakfast are amazing. Staff are super friendly. The location is perfect as it's close to tourist shops as well as the bamboo forrest. But yet it is quiet and peaceful.

非常值得入住的岚山温泉酒店

特别棒的岚山温泉酒店！首先是位置非常棒，离中心的渡月桥大概150米，隔壁是辨庆，再隔壁就是米其林三星吉兆，离网红咖啡馆%大约10米，步行到天龙寺大约10分钟。总之是非常棒的地理位置。其次，酒店服务很贴心，每次刚要出门，就已经帮你拿好了鞋子。早晨晚餐都在房里用餐，餐食味道也很棒。房间足够大，公共汤池人很少，有室内和半露天两个池子，基本可以算是独享。房里和浴场配的洗浴用品也都很好很齐全。总之非常推荐，下次来岚山度假还会考虑选择

We stayed one night at this place while touring round Japan. We decided to splash out as we wanted to stay at a traditional ryokan. Both breakfast and dinner,was superb and was served by the maid in your room which made it extra special. Bath tub in room was epic and the spa area was perfect to relax. As a gay couple we had no problems as staff were very friendly. Location was perfect as overlooked a big loch and was right next to a great coffee shop and the beautiful arishyama town. Definitely recommend.

Absolutely stunning hotel. The location is right on the water and rooms have a beautiful view. The baths (gender separated and fully nude) were very relaxing. Our room came with a soaking tub, which we loved. Breakfast was very interesting, like nothing we've eaten before--dinner as well. I would highly recommend a night or two at Ryotei Rangetsu.

아라야시마에 다시 놀러가면 또 한번 지내고 싶은 곳

어머니와 여행하면서 1박 하였는데
직원 분들도 친절하시고
조식도 맛있고
크진 않았지만 온천도 좋았어요
사람들이 많이 없어 료칸도 조용하고
응커피와 대나무숲 옆이라 관광하기도 딱이었습니다

정말 너무 좋은 서비스로 기분좋았던 숙소!

젊은직원들이 너무나 친절했던 료칸. 저렴한 방을 선택해, 뷰가 좋지는 않았지만, 핫스프링이 매우 만족스러웠고, 숙소내의 욕조도 매우 좋았다.
시계를 잃어버려 매우 당황했었는데, 직원들이 정말 자기 물건처럼 걱정하며 찾아주어 좋은 추억으로 남을것같다. 폐를 끼친거 같아 미안했다.

좋은기억으로 남을 숙소이며, 도게츠교 강이 바로 눈앞에 보이고 아라비카커피샵이 가까워 좋았다. 역에서 조금 거리가 되어 캐리어를 끄는데 힘들었지만 아라시야마를 온전히 느끼기에 좋은숙소였으며, 전기포트를 빌려주어 좋았다.

아침 조식또한 훌륭했다. 저녁제공은 돈을 추가 지불 해야 했지만, 근처에 맛있는 식당이 많아 부족하지 않았다.
