お部屋は狭いなりに快適でした。前のお客さんの髪の毛が落ちていたり、連泊の際に浴衣が畳まれただけで変わっていなかったり、ゴミ箱がきちんとセットされていなかったり、と細かいところは少し残念でしたが、立地、スタッフ、お風呂、金額総じて良かったです。

スカイツリーを見ながら入れる大浴場

かなり遅い時間のチエックインでしたが気分良くご対応いただけました．
部屋はかなり広めで清潔感もありましたし，スカイツリーを臨む大浴場はとても気持ちが良かったです．
大浴場は最近改築したのか，客室よりもなお綺麗でした．

唯一難点なのが，明け方四時ころからずっと部屋の目の前の電柱にとまったカラスがうるさく全然寝れなかったことです．
その点ご対策いただけますと申し分ありません（が，こればかりは難しいですよね）．

浅草で観光するにはいいホテル

ホテル自体はアクセスが良く、便利。喧噪の通りから１本入るので、静かです。

「露天風呂」は、向かいがマンションなのであまり開放的とはいえません。客室も同じで、向かいがマンション。浴衣でうろうろするのはまだいいですが、着替える時など注意が必要です。

客室のトイレにウォシュレットはついていません。

客室内に栓抜きが常備してあり、趣を感じました。

観光に便利

所用があり、宿泊しました。シングル洋室でしたので、部屋はシンプルですが、必要なものは揃っています。ベッドのスプリングが弱くなっていましたが、眠りを妨げる感じまでではありません。トイレはドアを閉めると圧迫感があります。1人なので、ドアを開けたままであれば問題ありません。浴場は大きくはありませんが、あまり入る人がいないので、ゆっくり入ることができました。

Great Ryokan experience in Tokyo

We've stayed on Ryokan Asakusa Shigetsu only 2 nights, but it was wonderful our stay. You can really experience the Ryokan style in the middle of Tokyo. The neighborhood is great, with many things to do and eat. The staff was great! So nice and thoughtful. We were afraid if it would be really Ryokan experience, but we were not disappointed.

総合的には良かったと思います。小さな冷蔵庫もあり、ケトル、お茶、ドライヤー、浴衣、歯ブラシ、ファブリーズ、エチケットブラシなどがおいてありました。
ただ、夜11:00を過ぎてチェックインだったのですが、フロアーの電気が真っ暗で、自分の携帯のトーチを使って、部屋を確認して鍵を開けました。小さい電気でもついていると良いと思いました。

連泊がオススメです。

連休の2日間、宿泊させていただきました。
チェックインの時間前に、荷物預かりをして頂けて助かりました。かなり早めに到着してしまったので、チェックインの時間まで荷物を抱えるハメになりそうだと憂いていたため、このサービスは地味に助かりました。
共有のお風呂はちょっとぬるかったのと、風呂にぬめりけがあったので、初日は利用させていただきましたが、翌日は近くにある浅草温泉に行きました。
温泉が近いのも、ここの魅力の一つだと思います。
寝具などは普通のビジネスホテルといった感じでしたが、清潔感があり、過ごしやすかったです。
少し乾燥しているので、加湿器を置いてもらうか、自前で用意が必要かもしれません。

街中なのに静かで寛げました。思ったより小さな建物でしたが、風情のある外観。チェックイン前に荷物を預けられたので、とても助かりました。目の前がすぐ浅草寺なので、早起きすれば、ゆったりお参りできますよ。

立地は最高です

浅草出張の際に2泊いたしました。旅館の方のホスピタリティは満足行くものでした。1泊9000円程度の料金でした。部屋は非常に狭く、窓からも何も見えず、で部屋の快適度は不満を感じてしまいました。旅館の6階の浴場は良かったのですが、湯船に髪の毛が浮いていたのは残念でした。仲見世からすぐの立地で浅草観光を楽しむのにはもってこいですので、総合的には満足しています。また機会があればお邪魔したいと思います。

I stayed here recently, and honestly—this place delivered everything.
The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, the room was beautiful and spotless, and all the facilities were top-tier. The on-site onsen was such a highlight too; it gave me that real, cozy ryokan vibe without even leaving the hotel. I absolutely loved it.

The location was super convenient as well, making everything easy and stress-free.

I’m 100% coming back on my next trip. This hotel is now officially on my “must-stay-again” list.

We really loved this hotel. The onsen was lovely. The staff were fantastic going above and beyond to make us comfortable. The room was clean. The amenities were fantastic. The coffe in the lobby was very good. The location was great for being in the heart of everything. I would highly recommend this hotel if you want a traditional Japanese experience.

This was such a charming and relaxing stay. My son and I were looking for a slow arrival into Tokyo, with culture since it was his first time. We loved it! The hotel service was amazing, it was located in such a beautiful part of Asakusa and close to pretty restaurants and shops!

The onsen is small but you get a view of either the temple or Tokyo Skytree AND it’s tattoo friendly. The rooms were exactly what we were expecting and since we just arrived and didn’t have the “extra baggage” of shopping yet, it was perfectly sized.

Can’t wait to go back and relax!

We are already booking our next trip there!!

I can’t say enough good things about this ryokan! This was our favorite hotel we stayed at in all 3 cities we stayed in Japan. First of all, the location is great. Walking distance to many restaurants, konbini, activities, shopping, temple and more. The staff is exceptionally kind and helpful, on our last day we even had the gentleman working the front desk help find our lost taxi driver and lead him to the hotel on foot in the pouring rain. The front desk workers explain the entire hotel and how the rooms work upon arrival. The rooms are traditional and very clean. The onsen is more of a tub versus a mineral hot spring but still lovely facility that has a TATTOO FRIENDLY onsen bath. The baths aren’t private but there is a sign on the outside indicating whether or not it’s in use and I think people will avoid for that reason because I had it to myself for an hour. They provide traditional tatami robe to wear around the hotel. Free snacks and drinks during certain hours. We really had such a great time here, pricing was so affordable as well. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely stay at the Ryokan Asakusa Shigetsu. It was a peaceful oasis close to a very busy tourist area. The rooms were clean and well provisioned. I highly recommend Ryokan Asakusa Shigetsu.

The Ryokan Asakusa Shigetsu was wonderful. We only stayed one night but I would have loved to be there more. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, very proud of their ryokan. It is in a great Asakusa location for shopping, Senso-ji Temple, and Asakusa station and a great price. The women's bath had an amazing view of the Tokyo Sky Tree lit at night. We stayed in a. Traditional Japanese room and loved the experience. Highly recommend.

Top et bien placé mais sans petit déjeuner

Ce Ryokan en plein coeur d'Asakusa, est un endroit parfait pour faire un break dans ce quartier trépidant.
Des la réception, nous passons dans la dimension de la zénitude.
Nous étions au 3ème étage et même si la chambre donne sur la rue, nous étions au calme.
Une chambre de taille correcte avec des futions.
La salle de bain est de bonne taille avec suffisamment d'espace pour positionné ses affaires.
Tout le nécessaire dont nous avons besoins est mis à disposition près de la réception.
Ainsi, nous ne prenons que ce que nous avons besoin.
Les bains sont séparés entre homme et femme et se situe au 6ème étage. Un système de pancarte permet de valider s'ils sont occupés ou non.
Une buanderie est au rdc (lave linge et sèche linge), ce qui peut causer quelques "embouteillages".
Par contre, plus de petit déjeuner, seuls des snacks sont fournis, avec des jus de pommes, café et thé à disposition.
Cest dommage au vu du tarif des chambres.

Great place to stay. I was initially disappointed to learn after booking that they no longer serve food, but as it turns out there are many great placed to eat nearby. They kindly held our bags for the day and graciously allowed us to pack and reorganize ourselves in the back area before heading to the airport. They extended themselves beyond what was expected in order to help us find an accessible way to the transit. Highly recommend this place, would stay again.

Magnifique séjour , bienveillante équipe

Mon séjour a été très très agréable. Malgré quelques imprévus personnels, l équipe a toujours été présente et aidante à chaque fois. C était vraiment impressionnant et reposant d avoir ce support de leur part. Le ryokan est parfaitement situé sans être bruyant à 1 rue de l alllee très touristique du temple senso-ji et des commerces don quijotte et uni clo où on peut trouver tout ce qu on cherche ( pansement, imperméable…).
Les photos sont vrais !! Le bain d eau chaude est exceptionnel en fin de journée avec la vue sur la skytree Tokyo tower !
J ai passé vraiment un très bon séjour avec un cours de calligraphie que l équipe a réussi à me réserver au dernier moment ! Bravo à tous

Besides the room which looked very beautiful with nice amenities , what is truly outstanding on this property is the staff. They all go above and beyond to help the customers and in my over 30 years of traveling, I have never met such dedicated workers.
First of all when we checked in, we had an issue with our luggage, which was sent from a hotel in Kyoto the day before but unfortunately had not arrived. I was really worried because we had to fly back home the next day. I taked to the staff and they called the shipping company and solicited a search. Two hours later our baggage was all in our room, when we came back from lunch. Then the next day after we checked out they booked a cab for us to Tokyo station as asked the day before and they carried all our luggage to the taxi. Unfortunately once we were on the Narita express my husband realized that he left his phone in the cab. The hotel called me up a minute later letting me know that the cab driver had found our phone and asking me how they could help. I asked if they could ask the cab driver to come to the airport and drop off the phone. And they did. The cab driver rushed to the airport and was happy to return the phone. These are the reason why you should definitely stay at this hotel, without the hotel staff' help I wouldn't have been able to communicate with the cab driver or the luggage shipping company.

Can't ask for more Ryokan

Lovely stay in Ryokan. Very near to the major attractions, walking distance to Senso-ji temple and see the pagoda from the hotel room. Love the stay and clean room. There was a welcome pack for each person in room. The shower facility is modern and new. They also provide free coffee and hot tea/drinks at the lobby. Staff very friendly and explained in details about the room and made us feel very welcomed.

This is the BEST place I have stayed in among my 4 visits to Japan! I will come here again in my next visit! I was able to walk around Sensoji Temple in early mornings and nights. So many dining options. Only need to take 1 train from Narita Airport to hotel that took about 1 hour only. So easy to go to other areas within Tokyo and even Nikko. Staff are all very accommodating and helpful. Rooms are large for Tokyo's accommodation standards. Great amenities! Great onsen experience! I booked this Ryokan more than 6 months in advance...needed 3 rooms and there was only 4 rooms left, so book early, as it's so sought after! Overall, GREAT place to stay in for Tokyo!

료칸은 처음 이용해봤는데, 상당히 만족스러웠음. 아사쿠사 역에서 가깝고 관광지인 센소지가 지척에 있어 관광객이 머물기 좋으며, 숙소 외관, 내관 모두 잘 꾸며져있어 사진 찍기에도 좋음. 탕이 기대했던 것보다 작았지만 피로를 녹이기에는 문제 없었음.

Cute Asakusa Hotel

Cute little hotel right in the heart of Asakusa.
3 blocks from Senso-ji, close to great food and shopping and Ginza line subway.
Nice ofuro (though small) with a view of Sky tower. Only concern was the noise at night.

Great area and great place to stay. The beds are comfortable. Several staff went much out of their ways to help us with a favor totally irrelevant. Good communication in both English and Chinese and they let me stow our luggage there after checkout which helped a lot with our scheduling. I would totally recommend this place.

The staff are wonderfully helpful and friendly, the rooms are cleaned well and provide everything you really need (within a Ryokan setting). The futon is comfortable and the (small) shower hot. My only complaint, the manager informed me that I couldn't have a friend come by the room to visit l, which I felt was unreasonable.

first experience to stay in a ryokan,it was very good and interesting . tatami style and got to experience onsen ,wore the Yukata that was provided .it was a shared onsen but nobody was using it at the time I was there. it could have been better if breakfast was provided. we love the location. so close to the senso ji temple. plenty of restaurants nearby and walking distance from the Asakusa subway statiob

Ryokan Asakusa Shigetsu is and will continue to be my go-to place to stay in Asakusa. The public bath is wonderful, and it's right nearby the places I need to visit. Despite being in the thick of Asakusa, it is quiet and comfortable. I'm sad they aren't doing breakfast anymore, but the reason I can't give 5 stars this time was because of the room - it was truly tiny, and there was no place to use my computer.

This was the first hotel of 12 I stayed in while in Japan. Honestly if we don't even look at the location (Next to Senso-ji). It was a great little room with everything in working order. The public bath on the upper level was beautiful and empty every time I managed to use it. We were here for just 2 nights and it was a highlight of the trip. Very close to everything and fairly spacious for a japanese room. All of the staff were lovely and yukatas were provided. I would gladly stay here again.

This ryokan is an amazing location for tourists. It’s steps away from the beautiful temple. The staff are so friendly and breakfast was delicious. Unfortunately since it is an older building it is very musty. Since we suffer from mold allergies it was uncomfortable for us and we had to leave after one night. But it was a very quaint place.

Very clean and FRIENDLY; close to places of interest, but on a side street so very quiet. Very generous breakfast. The western style room is modest but large enough to be comfortable, and I loved the bath on the sixth floor - very warm and super relaxing.

The establishment is right by the historic Asakusa District, within walking distance from the Senso-Ji temple. If you get up early, it gives you a chance to see the popular landmarks, like the Kaminari Mon (the Thunder Gate with the distinct giant red lantern), before the crowd arrives. The area is full of great Soba shops, Udon shops, izakayas, and tempura places. The staff is the epitome of Japanese hospitality, always considerate, always in a state of readiness to help you. I like to stay in their traditional Japanese rooms and sleep with my face against the tatami mat.

Solo leisure travel for 4 nights

i was a little unsure when booking this but I’m so happy I did. Yes the rooms are a little of the small side but everything else is done very well. The service was good and it has a very good location, easy access to two metro lines as well as the tourist friendly markets and shops. I would happily stay here again, thank you.

Although the location was in the very busy Asakusa, inside the property it actually felt very quiet and zen, from the genkan to the room itself. The hot bath was also a very nice surprise, especially with the view of the Skytree.

The Japanese style breakfast was very generous in portion and the dining area allowed for a meditative atmosphere.
