家族4人で利用しました。ホテルだと4人部屋がなかったり、狭苦しい感じだったので、こちらを選びました。リビングスペースがくつろげてとても良かったです。駅側の部屋で窓からは新幹線が見れて楽しかったです。駅近で周りにレストランやショッピングのできるところも多いのに、とても静かで快適でした。ありがとうございました！

ベッドが硬い、隣部屋の音が漏れる、夜中のゴミ収集車がうるさい。トイレが狭く、ドアが薄いので音が漏れてゆっくり出来ない。洗面所には脱衣置き場が無い。狭い。廊下が暗い、部屋までの廊下から他の部屋が丸見えでしたので、夜は子供の教育に良くない。安いビジネスホテルのようだ。

駅から近く、買い物にも困りませんでした。
お風呂も水圧がきちんとあり湯船もゆったりで快適でした。
大人５人でしたが十分な広さでした。
スタッフの方々も親切で、聞いた事への返答もスムーズで良かったです。

Great room layout for family of four.
Mimaru is a great chain for families wanting to stay in one room.
The small kitchen is nice to use when one gets tired of eating out all the time. Local department store groceries start discounting their sushi, meats and salads around 5-7pm. So eating in saves money and you get to eat like a local.

After a long day of travelling, having this right next to Kyoto station was so easy. So close to malls and food too. Rooms were very big compared to Japanese standard. Was lovely to have a nice big comfy dining area to relax in! Highly recommend! The little things like a big clothes hanging thing with hooks so you can dry your clothes easier made this super family friendly.

Our family of 5 absolutely loved our stay. It was a perfect location. Very close to main train station. Only a short ride away to most big attractions in Kyōto. The staff and service were incredible. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend this if you are a family with children or bigger group. It provides a larger space than most other hotels we stayed.

Service was impeccable, I was very happy with the room. My only reason for taking a star off is because the room beside me were up quite late until midnight and I could hear their conversation through my walls which makes me believe the walls are too thin and not well insulated. The hotel has a quiet hours policy but I don't even think they were conversing above a normal conversation level and I could hear them.

Superb experience! Couldn't be better.

Location - Its right opposite Kyoto station/Bus stand and right next to a mall. Rooms were sound proof so nice & quiet.

Service - Amazing top notch service by staff. Very warm & friendly.

It was raining heavily the day that we arrived at Kyoto and our original room had a bit of a musty smell to it. Once we brought it up to the front desk, the manager was so helpful and accommodating and was able to move us to a different room. They even bought us a cake to apologize for the inconvenience which is service we are not typically used to in the US. Throughout our stay, the staff continued to be so helpful - to building us a custom box to fly home with a poster we bought so it didn't get bent or helping us figure out how to ship or bags to Tokyo a few days later. There is also a 711 nearby which was really helpful for food.

I stayed with our family of four (two teenagers) and there was more than enough space for all of us. There was a bunk bed and two twin beds, but you could also set up the kitchen couch as a bed too. The location is perfect. It’s right across the street from Kyoto station and it was easy to get to places in Kyoto as well as day trips to Nara, Uji and Lake Biwa. We were able to walk (about 20 minutes) to some of the major sights as well. There are 7/11s on both sides, so we picked up coffee and snacks from there.

The front desk helped us deal with a dental situation and was amazingly helpful. They saved the trip!

Big room for family trip

The two-room apartment was great for a family trip. Two big tables could accommodate a big family. The cooking utensils provided were just enough to make simple cuisine.

Excellent hotel. The staff were very helpful with reserving restaurants and karaoke. The also made good suggestions and we ate the best meals at good prices with their help.

The room is convenient for a family with two children. I wish that the room had Netflix smart tv. I also wish that there was more privacy between the kids and adults.

The staff were exceptionally helpful and attentive. They really made our stay a fantastic experience. We enjoyed the room and found the beds very comfortable. Easy access to the train station made commuting around the town easy. Would happily stay there again if in Kyoto.

This was a great place to stay with the family. The room was large enough we didn't feel like we were on top of each other. We had a small kitchen to fix meals or heat up something from the 7/11 around the corner. The staff were friendly and helpful. The closeness to Kyoto Station was a big plus. There are so many places to shop and eat nearby.

We had a great stay at the Mimaru Kyoto Station, really enjoyed this line of hotels. The staff was great and the apartments are well suited for families. Great to have a nice quiet place to rest with the kids with space more equivalent to western travelers.

Be prepared for early rises though as the shades behind the windows do not block much light.

Perfect spot for our family

The staff was welcoming and helpful. Rooms were a good size for our family of 4. The bathroom had an unusual smell, but overall it was a great room. Location is perfect with easy access to subway, train and buses. Lots of dinning options in the nearby kyoto station. Highly recommend this hotel.

This was perfect with adjoining connected rooms for our family of 7. It was close to Shinkansen and subway. The room was comfortable and the shower/bath was very large. Service was excellent. Good to have laundry.

Staff were able to communicate pretty well in English. Gave sound advice on attractions to visit. We had the Pokémon room which the kids went crazy with Snorlax and bunk bed. There is a Macdonald at station which is a short walk from hotel.

By the way, my family was waken up by the noise caused by kids singing and shouting from the next room at night between 22:00~23:00. It was too loud. The wall delivers sound as it is.

Very convenient to seven eleven downstairs and train station which made our stay for 5 nights enjoyable. Room was clean and layout was good for our family of four. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Our bullet train got cancelled because of the typhoon, and the staff informed us proactively and presented alternatives.

One advice, don’t book the garden room, it gets no light.

Highly recommended

Had an amazing stay here and would throughly recommend it. It's a great location opposite Kyoto station as well as a few malls all with 10 mins walk.

We booked a room with 1 double, bunk beds and a sofa bed that converted to abed, with a kitchenette. Pretty spacious by Japanese standards and very clean. We had a great view of Kyoto station watching the Shinkansen come in and out.

Want to call out the staff and how incredibly helpful they were. They suggested a better way to use the luggage transfer service for our needs which ended up saving us money, and also helped us when our pre booked taxi was very late. Thankyou Yuko, Ryo and all the staff for the help!

Good family option

Second Mimaru hotel on our family trip and would recommend any Mimaru at this point. The apartment concept is the way to go if you have kids and want to stay on a budget.

The view of the train station is really a plus. Not loud and very interesting watching the shinkansen and local trains come and go.

I took off one star for comfort because the five person room with five people in the summer is a bit tough. The sofa bed is right under the air conditioning vent. So, either that person is cold in the night or everyone else is hot.
