優點是地點方便。走路到清水寺或衹園只要10分鐘左右，往衹園方向約200米有家小超市。馬路對面有全家超商。公車站牌很近(10米左右)，去遠一點的比如金銀閣寺或二條城都方便。地鐵稍遠(走10分鐘路程)，但去稻荷大社坐地鐵不用轉車。去嵐山可坐公車到河原四條轉近鐵過去也很快。
最大缺點是隔音不好。雖然是新造房，房間設備都很新，但因為是鋼骨＋木板鋪造，所以走路重一點就會感到震動，樓上有住人時如果不幸遇到習慣腳跟著地的，會一直聽到咚咚聲，若有小孩就更慘了。另外附近晚餐餐廳選擇少，除非花大價錢吃懷石，或者辛苦點走到河原四條(約20分鐘)才會比較多選擇。我們住10天結果有7天都是超市或超商便當。雖然房間有IH爐和平底鍋深鍋，可沒碗盤只有杯具，也沒油鹽醬醋，自炊不用想。頂多煮水煮蛋，泡麵或微波爐熱便當。另外沒有餐桌，只有照片中的靠牆長桌。旁邊一塊空置也許是給人加床用，但對我們兩人住就完全浪費了。
還有就是客服對接不順。我們追加了兩次訂房(7＋2＋1)，和旅館方溝通不換房和清掃、補住宿稅等問題時，兩次都出現我和客服中心談好，但旅館這邊櫃台人員搞不清楚或是二次手續的狀況(我按客服要求上午換房卡＋補住宿稅，下午櫃檯換人又來換卡＋收錢)，如果不是我會日文，這些狀況處理起來會很麻煩。(客服中心可講中文，但旅館櫃檯只有會日文和英文的)
另外要注意的是check in和住宿的旅館是兩個地方，不過可以事先預訂接駁車不用自己扛行李過去。3天內行程推薦可住，再長要能忍受隔音才建議住這。

Good location, not great room

Good location, but felt a bit worn down and a bit dirty (might be cause of the worn down’ness). We got a room turning towards the road, and the isolation is not great. Staff were pleasant.

We had a good stay at hotel. Family of 4 needed two couch/bed conversions for kids which were a little uncomfortable for kids but they coped. Otherwise room was fine for what we needed. It had a washer and drying room in bathroom which came in hand to wash and dry clothes. Family mart across road was also convenient and walking distance to many local attractions like the shopping streets and Kiyomizu-dera.

Hotel is fine, walking distance to Gion. But there is a big fire station right next to it so you will get fire trucks siren noise 24x7 and especially it's disturbing and loud at night. Also the metro train station is quite a walk.

I recently stayed at Sakura Hotel and had a wonderful experience. The location was perfect, just a short walk from major attractions, which made exploring the area so easy. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making check-in a easy and always ready to help with any questions.

The room was clean, spacious, and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed and great amenities.

Overall, I would highly recommend Sakura to anyone looking for a pleasant stay. I’m definitely looking forward to returning in the future!

Staff were super helpful and courteous. Very convenient to Kiyomizu-dera and other Higashiyama-Gion temples, shrines, shopping, and Maikoya geisha tea house. Bit noisy (fire station next door), furniture a bit stained and worn, but wonderful at the price. Small kitchenette poorly stocked (now bowls?).

Lovely, clean hotel and friendly staff, they were very welcoming and I rate them highly. Unfortunately the only small negative is that our room was facing onto a big main busy road and so we did not sleep much due to the noise.

Lovely rooms with simple in-room kitchen facility & laundry. Very clean and felt very safe/secure. Friendly check in. This is a small hotel - the Sakura chain has been very reliable and economical for our family. Location on a busier street, but we were facing away - no sound issues at all. Location has wonderful access to temples, Gion (10 min walk). About a 15-20 min walk to Hanamikoji St. Highly recommend for families.

Super nice hotel staff, lovely traditional accommodations, close to Yasaka Pagoda, polite taxi drivers, walking distance to bus stations and convenience stores. Our family enjoyed our stay in this hotel. We’ll definitely come back to stay here if we are in Kyoto.

Having an English speaking hotel desk worker was very helpful for me. The room had many household amenities that I haven't had in other similarly priced hotels elsewhere in Japan. Such as washer/dryer, electric stove top, microwave, heated bathing room. The double room felt relatively roomy. The small balcony was nice to open and look out of. The hotel is only 4 floors so I never had to wait for the elevator. It's close to Gion and temples, so I had several tourist excursions that started right from the hotel with no public transit involved.

For negatives, the location was a bit loud. The road the hotel is on is rather busy, which causes some loud noises. There is a fire station nearby. There are several busy bus stops near the hotel making the sidewalk crowded at times. It's a bit of a long walk from the subway stations, 15 to 20 minutes.

Un hôtel correct, chambre petite et simple ( idéal pour un couple), kitchenette sans intérêt ni utilité ( ne pas penser faire la cuisine ici). Une communication difficile avec l’hôtel. Malgré la route à côté, nous avions une chambre calme. L’emplacement est cependant très bien pour visiter Kyoto ( des zones d’intérêt et célèbre à proximité et à distance de marche : market de street food, temple, rue typique de Kyoto….)après le métro est à 15 mn.

We enjoyed the location of the property. Though it is on a busy main road, it is literally a less than 5-minute walk to the really charming, beautiful nooks and crannies of Kyoto’s best streets and neighborhoods. The hotel is situated in Higashiyama, which is where many of the most iconic temples and shrines are located in good concentration. Bus 206 is a 1-minute walk and gets you to and from Kyoto Station in about 20 minutes. Other bus lines are nearby and another train line is about 10 minutes of walking. We also used Uber (which operates through a local taxi service called MK- easy to sport their heart shaped logo medallions on top of the car roofs) when we didn’t want to deal with the weather. Phuong, one of the front desk receptionists, was wonderful and so cheerful and always able to assist with our needs. Other staff also pleasant. We used Google Translate to communicate with staff, who are there part of the day (not overnight). Our narrow room was small but serviceable for 2. We loved having a washing machine inside the room and free laundry pods. The shower area can be closed off and a wall setting on the control pad outside the bathroom (the yellow button) turns the shower room into a literally dryer for clothes. It was extremely effective! Having a full kitchen was also great (fridge, 2-burner cooktop, microwave).

Great value. Close to major tourist areas in Kyoto. Great for a long stay because of kitchen washing machine, refrigerator and microwave. Not much communication with staff because there are times when no one is at the hotel.

Very clean, spacious (especially after Tokyo), and great location! 15min walk to "downtown" where most of the restaurants are, close to temples, and 5m from geisha district. A bit confusing initially on whether we needed to check in at the sister location, (only if arriving certain times, otherwise there is someone at this reception too), but otherwise great! A great bonus was the washing machine and drying area in the bathroom! We had a wonderful stay,Thank you!

Clean, large room with kitchen, close to sights

We love this hotel so much, clean, large room, close to the sights, and a kitchen if you want to make you light meal. We definitely go back again.
We went there by driving, and we found 5 minutes walk away a overnight carpark "Japan Garage" which is good.
