The cleaning lady was nice to us when we arrived. We were pleasantly surprised at how large thev2 bedroom apt was and jm what an incredible location just 3- 5 min walk to hugest don Quixote, shop right outside, and dotonbori sign, very close to stations! It was clean and the even left us a free portable Wi-Fi to use while we were there! We loved it! Thank you!!!

Nice stay

Nice place in the middle of Dotonbori, but inside we were not disturbed by noise. Had all the necessary ammeneties for a family on travel. Really nice to get to wash clothes on the way.

Great location, I love the 2 bedroom setup and the spacious living area. Very close to shops, bars and a Family Mart. Subway station is a short walk away as well.

Easy to find our way back to the hotel because there is a big strawberry on the wall next to the hotel for a Strawberry Mania dessert shop.

The rooms smelled when we checked in, had to plug in the air purifier right away. The towels were so old and smelled damp. The cushions that were in the bedroom smelled. Had to go to the store to buy air freshener for the unit. We sprayed the whole place and turned up the air conditioner. Location was good.

We have a family of 5 and stayed for 10 nights. The neighborhood is very convenient and the apartment is very clean! Close to metro, many shops and restaurants. The only negative is the noise at night because it’s on the busy street but we have no problem because it’s just minimal. We were very tired from the day and fall asleep quickly. Beds are comfortable. Thanks for the complimentary mask and foot patch. They were very helpful!

For a very busy area, it was fairly quiet. Property is ok but a bit on the cheap side for furniture and appliances.

Fantastic location! Doesnt get anymore convenient than this, as it's right above the middle of the action in Dotonbori. With this in mind, it can be a little loud in the evening hours. Property is pretty clean over all and amenities were top notch. One major issue we had with our unit was that it constantly smelled of sewage outside the bedroom living areas. The smell appears to stem from the drains in the shower/ laundry and from the toilet bidet fan when it activates.

We stayed from 10/26/2023 ~ 11/1/2023 (5 full days).
The hotel communicated all the necessary information to us prior to our arrival and the instructions were well written and easy to follow.

As a group of 4, the hotel felt a little small with all our luggage as well. I wouldn’t personally recommend it for more than 5 people.

The other reviews stated that you could hear the noises from the street, and they are right. However, the hotel does supply earplugs and honestly, if you’re traveling right, you should be tired enough at the end of the day that it doesn’t really matter lol
I slept in the living room and I did not hear any noises there.

The location is superb though. Lots of things to do, foods to eat, shopping to be done all within a 10 minute walk radius.

It’s also fairly easy to find (at the time of my stay).
The hotel is right across the Kinryu Ramen Honten and right next to a Strawberry Mania, so you have the big dragon and giant strawberry to look out for.

Overall, we had a positive experience with S-Dotonbori Hotel and would love to check it out again if given the opportunity.

Clean place, complete household items, with Large comfy beds. You can definitely be satisfied with the provision.
Located at the center of Dotonbori, you won't have to worry about food, shopping, and traffic.
The only drawback is the poor sound insulation. You may consider using the earbuds provided.
Overall, a nice stay!
