ホテルのオーナー御夫妻はとても親切でした。
部屋は静かで自宅にいるみたいに寝やすいです。
お風呂も1人で足を伸ばしてゆっくり入りました。
夜は清水寺のライトアップが見えるし、朝は清水寺を散歩できる贅沢な場所にあります。

寝巻き、歯磨きは有りません

2名１室で宿泊しましたが、案内書を見てびっくり！
布団1枚、冬なのに冷房付き、と書いてあります。
電話をして、そうではない事を確認しました。
寝巻き、歯磨きは有りません。
部屋や浴室は清潔で庭も広く緑に囲まれています。

自分のスタイルに合うなら、良い宿です

オーナーご夫妻は気さくな方々でした。掃除は、自分としては問題ない範囲でした。解ってはいたが、交通の便としては、バスが混む時期は少々難あり（地下鉄まで15分になる）。また、風呂が22：00までで、翌朝は6：00からというのは自分の行動パターンからすると、23：00まで使えるとよりうれしいと思いました（だったらホテルに泊まれですが）。なお、清水寺が近いので、そこを中心とする場合はとても良い位置だと思います。　因みにチェックインは15：00でも可能でした。
Wi-Fiの速度も問題なく利用できて、かつ、TVが無いのは自分の場合はプラスポイント（朝や夜、隣のTVの音を気にしなくてよい）。

安心して休めました。

とても親切で丁寧なオーナー様でした。
最寄りのバス停も丁寧に説明して頂きました。
設備はお手洗いが広く2つあって清潔で嬉しかったです。
お部屋と洗面所は少し埃っぽいかな？という感じでした。
抱っこさせてくれるフレンドリーな猫ちゃんが可愛かったです。

清水寺観光には最適

清水寺に近く徒歩で行けます。
バス停、コンビニも徒歩7、8分の範囲にあり便利。バストイレ、冷蔵庫は共用、浴用タオルは貸してもらえます。ドライヤーあり、テレビなし。駐車場（無料）があるので公共交通機関と車の使い分けにも良いでしょう。周りは住宅街で静かです。

清水寺のほど近く、茶碗坂のあたりの一軒家を使ったゲストハウスです。初見だと場所と見た目が若干わかりにくいので注意が必要ですが、経営されているご夫婦の人柄もよく、清潔で落ち着いた宿だと思います。なお人見知りしない飼い猫を存分に愛でることができるので、猫好きの方は特におすすめです。

きれいに手入れされていて、快適なゲストハウスです。
利用した2ベットの部屋は平均的な日本のビジネスホテルの倍近い広さがあり、くつろげます。
水回り（風呂、洗面所、トイレ）は清潔！　３っつ共に清潔というのは、海外ではなかなか見られない。
ゲストハウスの方々には大変親切に対応いただきました。

素晴らしい

京都にて早朝から観光をしたく選択しました。
ロケーションは清水寺のすぐそばで、茶碗坂を少し入ったところ。
入口の看板が素敵で、すぐにわかります。
中はとてもアットホームな雰囲気。
部屋は天井が高く、狭さを感じませんでした。
バスルームや館内はとても新しくて清潔。
とても親切なご主人と女将さんが旅の良い思い出になりました。

Best location + comfortable space + friendly+ CAT

It is named "guesthouse Yamaato," but, in fact rather than a guest house, it is inn. So, private has been maintained properly. Guest house just because it is loss is to shy away!

◯ best location
Just a short walk up to Kiyomizu Temple! It is located in the back of the Kiyomizu-dera or rather. A few more minutes' walk from convenience stores and supermarkets. The very best location!

◯ clean space
House within is much beautiful than the pictures (new construction of whether the renewal was unclear), House in the cat goods is full in love big cat I rolled up tension.
Although the room was a single room with no reviews and photos to the net, it was a good room. Although it is 10 square meters position, water around there a feeling of opening because there is also a window if there more than three meters ceiling in another.
However, the single room did not have a TV. But, because it is through Wi-Fi, if you have a smart phone or tablet, the necessary information is immediately available.
Bathing is new in shiny. Toilets clean and bidet.
After the free-to-use with a refrigerator in the hallway.

On the day it deviates glasses of screws, but I was consulted and in trouble, husband was please fix looking for a screw substitute. Wife and between fix, was please put out to drink. Thank you very much.

人それぞれかと・・・

清水寺にも近く、あちらこちらと観光するにはとても良い場所でした。
ビジネスホテルを探して予約したつもりだったのですが、ペンション仕様の素泊まりでした。トイレ・風呂共同です。部屋にテレビはありませんでした。遅くとも夜１１時までにはお風呂を済ませて下さい、とのことでしたので、実質的に門限が９時半～１０時というところでしょうか。
　せっかくの京都滞在で、祇園も近く、夜の街を見て回たかったため、二泊予約していましたが、一泊目だけお世話になり、二泊目は他のホテルに移りました。
　夜はとても静かです。

ゲストハウスのご夫婦もとても親切で、アットホームな雰囲気で素敵です。
バスルームやトイレも２階に２つずつあり、清潔で混み合うこともありません。
庭園もあり、猫２匹（リズムとポニョ）がとてもかわいいです。
夜に部屋に戻った時にいただける差し入れのお茶とお菓子もうれしいです。
これからも常宿として利用したいと思います。

お家のような居心地

突然の追加にも柔軟に対応していただき、とても助かりました。海外の方が泊まることが多いようで、今回は中国の方が泊まっていました。

清水寺まで非常に近く、まわりは住宅街のようなかんじなのでゆっくり静かに過ごされたいかたにはいいと思います。お風呂笑もゆったりしていて、お部屋もきれいです。お世話になりました。

立地はバスや電車の駅から離れており利便性はあまりよくないが、その分住居環境は静かで落ち着いており、朝は鶯の鳴き声で目覚めるなど最高です。

清水寺から近く、朝早く散歩をして京都の雰囲気を満喫することが出来ました。３泊したうちで朝食は時間が合わず1回しか頼まなかったのですが、とても満足出来るものでした。館内は禁煙でしたが庭に灰皿が置いてあり、そこで喫煙出来たので助かりました。また機会があればお世話になりたいと思います。

二階に鍵つきの部屋が四室あり、お風呂・トイレは共同で二つずつありました。
一人部屋に泊まりましたが、戸建ての少し狭い部屋といった感じで、親戚の家にお泊まりする感覚でした。
施設は、どこも掃除が行き届いていてきれいです。
ゲストハウスの方もとても親切で、帰ってきたときにお茶を用意してくれたりとちょっとした心遣いが嬉しかったです。
次の京都旅行でも是非宿泊したいと思います。

親戚の家に泊まったみたい

お部屋もトイレ・バスも清潔でした。宿泊客が私の他に台湾のご夫婦が1組だけだったので、リーズナブルな料金で快適にゆっくりと滞在できました。オーナーご夫婦も親切で、例えば叔父叔母の家に泊まりに来たような感じでした。ただ、一般的な「ビジネスホテル」と違って「ゲストハウス」という宿泊施設の常備備品が宿泊情報で分からなくて、宿泊必要品をすべて準備してきましたが、フェイスタオルとバスタオルは貸して頂けましたし、バスにはシャンプー・リンス・石鹸が置いてありました。最初から分かっていたら、荷物も少しは少なくて済んだのにと思いました。
朝食は和食を頼みましたが、とても美味しかったです。

普通の一軒家をペンション風に改造されて　アットホームな雰囲気を醸し出しています。食堂前のガーデンもとっても素敵でした。　どちらかというと　ビジネスではなく少人数で中長期滞在向きです。もっとゆっくりできればよかったなと感じています。　また歯ブラシや部屋着がなかったのは残念でした。

落ち着いた佇まいのゲストハウス

私はスクーリングの宿舎として利用しましたが、観光目的の方には良い場所にあると思います。清水寺はすぐ目の前ですし、三十三間堂、国立博物館、知恩院…徒歩圏内に沢山の観光名所があります。そして、なんと言っても玄関やお庭の風情がしっとりとしており、心が落ち着きました。経営していらっしゃるご夫妻も大変に親切で、雨の日の翌朝には、宿泊の皆さんの靴を乾かしていらっしゃるのに感激しました。

とても素敵なゲストハウスです

清水寺まで歩いて数分という好立、地で、リーズナブルなお値段、施設も新しく清潔で、気持ちが良いです。お食事を頂くサロンから見えるお庭の緑が素晴らしい！ とてもやさしいご夫婦が、親身になってお世話してくださいます。朝食には和食をお願いしました。とてもおいしいですよ。
お客さまはほとんど外国人ということで、英語を勉強されてる方なら、とてもいい機会になるのでは？ 私の宿泊時には、アメリカ人家族、フランス人がいらっしゃいました。
立地も便利で、徒歩で建仁寺、木屋町から四条、錦市場まで行き、京都の雰囲気を満喫しました。
次回も是非泊まりたいところです。

Lovely traditional Guesthouse

The elderly couple who run the place were delightful and I would definitely recommend getting the traditional Japanese breakfast. The place was clean and very close to Kiyomizu temple which was convenient. I would not recommend this place for young people out to party as there is an 11pm curfew and rather a quiet atmosphere. However, if you are looking for somewhere peaceful and traditional to stay then this place would be perfect!

紅葉の庭は絶品！

清水寺の中の宿泊所の感じ。８９歳の母との利用でしたので、２階の居室で少し気になりましたが、ご夫婦の真摯な心配りが、よく伝わってきて気持ちよい滞在となりました。
ハード面で気になったのは、風呂の温度が４０度で少し低いこと。食事スペースの居間が、、雑然としていること。そこからの秋のこの時期の紅葉、また庭の眺望は優れているのですが・・・。

ゆったり京都宿泊!!

清水寺に近くとても立地がとても良いです。
宿はとてもきれいに掃除されていて、ゆったり静かな時間が流れています。
オーナーさんの気配りもとても暖かく、次にお邪魔した際は、

清水寺すぐの国際色豊かなゲストハウス

清水寺がすぐ側で、オーナーのご夫婦と息子さんがとても丁寧なおもてなしをしてくれました。トイレとお風呂は共同ですが、どちらも２つずつあり、とても清潔でした。窓から見える緑や小鳥の声、清水寺の鐘の音など風情も楽しめました。到着した時に頂いた丁寧に入れてくれたコーヒーも別料金の朝食もとても美味しかったです。宿泊客の90％は外国の方らしくとてもシンプルなお宿ですが、おもてなしは最高でした！次回もぜひ宿泊したいゲストハウスの１つになりました。

こじんまりしたホテルで、ご家族でやっていらっしゃるようでしたが、とても親切にしていただきました。新しくて、きれいです。清水寺に近いので、数日滞在して観光するにはとても良い場所です。ただ、風呂、トイレ別なので、他の泊まり客に気を使います。若い人向けかな。部屋に鏡があると良かったです。

Traditional home in Kyoto

The room was very clean with equaly clean bathrooma on the 2nd floor of the home. We the host was a very kind and gracious and provided ua with hot tea and cookies in the afternoon and juice in the morning. Even though there were other guests on the same floor, the room was quiet and we were able to sleep peacefully. There are many things to see and do within walking distance.

This guest house is run by an older couple (younger than me probably.) They are wonderful hosts. Tea in the evening a nd upon arrival. Juice box the morning you leave. Very close to public transportation. But, if you take a taxi ever during your stay tell the driver it is very near where all the tour buses park. From airport take airport shuttle bus to Kyoto station. Then it is easiest to take bus 100 because it is an express. What googke maps doesn't explain is that it is on the opposite side of the bus terminal information desk at bus depot was very helpful. This guesthouse does have rules on late showering and the doors are locked at 10. But for the right people a great experience. They do have cats but not in guesf area. Modern showers and toilet. Beautiful garden created by man's mother.

A quiet but convenient stay

Yamato is a small guest house with a garden in a quiet street close to a very interesting area.The shared bathrooms were spotless and the beds comfortable.The owners were very nice despite limited English.
No cafes or restaurants nearby but a good bus service at the bottom of the hill going to all areas of Kyoto.

Nice Stay

The guest house is only 10 mins walk to Kiyomizu Temple. They have 4 rooms and we lived in the Japanese room. The owner of this guest house is an old couple. They only can speak very limit English, but very nice. They have 2 free parking lots.

In der Unterkunftsbeschreibung stand nichts davon wie einschränkend die Hausregeln sind. Wir hätten bei Kenntnis davon nicht hier gebucht. In einem Gemeinschaftsbad nur von 6 - 22 Uhr duschen zu können, ist ja noch ok. Dass man aber spätestens 23 Uhr "daheim" zu sein hat, ist ein No Go.
Zumal die Türen teilweise bereits schon 21 Uhr verschlossen wurden.
Das Haus ist sehr hellhörig. So wurde man abwechselnd vom Krach der Katzen, der Enkeltochter oder einer Musikerin gestört, die beim Abendessen Violine spielte. Wir hingegen wurden an einem Abend kurz nach 23 Uhr von den Gastgebern ermahnt, dass jetzt "Sleeping Time" wäre, während wir uns ins Zimmerlautstärke unterhielten...
Housekeeping war laut Beschreibung "limited": heißt hier konkret, dass der Müll erst nach dem dritten Tag geleert wurde.
Der beworbene Garten war für uns nicht nutzbar.

Mixed Feelings

We had some difficulty with having our children with us. Basically, they wanted to charge us an extra $90 for a two day stay just because our 4 and 7 year old would be staying with us. It was mass confusion before both parties ultimately agreed to cancel the second night's accommodation. To the credit of the hotel, the bathroom was excellent, the matron of the house was kind, and the guesthouse did bring in an English speaker to help with translation. Finally, the guest house did help me get a refund on the second night by contacting Expedia for me.

Nice location

It is a quiet place to stay and the host has a pretty backyard. The host family is really nice.
If you would like to take a shower at night, make sure you do that before 10 pm. Shower and Bath cannot be used after 10 pm. Also, you can hear noises from next door or the hall way. The host provide tea and some snacks everyday, which is pretty nice.

Great location near Kiyomizu Dera

Lovely home run by a sweet retired couple. House is in a great location near Kiyomizu Dera Temple and there are lots of great shops nearby. The couple only speak a few words of English so if you don’t speak any Japanese you may not have much to discuss with them but they have little flash cards with instructions on how to use all the facilities. Best to get there by taxi. There is a curfew of 11:00 so if you are a night owl and like to stay out past 11, this may not be the best choice for you.

Very good location

The owner of the hotel is a very nice old couple with two cats. We left our luggages a few hours early before the check-in time and all luggages were placed upstairs at our room when we are back after sight seeing.

Moreover the location is excellent. It takes 6 minutes on foot to the famous Kiyomizu-dera so you can imagine that it also close to Gion and other points

We really enjoyed the special care shown by the owner and his wife, even though neither of us possessed the best language skills. From the first showing us where to park and all the things about staying at the guest house, to having tea and treats each evening. Location is great. Just a short walk to a bus stop or walking through eastern Kyoto to all its sights. A personal place to stay.

品味日常優雅的京都好民宿

這是我住過最喜歡的地方，花園美景自然天成，沒刻意的矯飾，婆婆親手縫（好大分前後）斷掉的背包，細膩溫柔的語調讓人想親近，爺爺做事不苟且，從乾淨的寢室浴廁可見
。早晨在花園用早餐，看婆婆整裡花園伴著可愛的灰貓，快下雨時看灰貓與爺爺的對話，知道爺爺雖網評嚴肅，其實不；是那代日本男人的習慣，吃飯，反正早出晚歸先在別地解決，否則附近也有，跟著他們感覺日本的日常就得其意，房間比照片更有韻味，乾淨舒適隔音好，臨別贈我ㄧ罐果汁解渴，二人以微笑祝福親送至門口，最好的地方，我會再來！

靠近清水寺三年坂二年坂的好旅館

雖然沒有早餐但附近三年坂就有INODA咖啡館 ，8點走去清水寺參觀完 9點去INODA吃早餐剛好。山跡旅館的花園很美，主人是一對老夫妻 很親切 有兩隻貓很好玩!

Perfect location, good hospitality

The shower and bathroom were shared, very clean and modern. Everynight i had tea offered. They don't speak english but if you explain What you need they will help you. Very nice people. The place is perfect to go north by foot and visit South Higadhiyama

Next to Kiyomizu-dera

Very nice place to stay, the staff are very kind, the room, toilets and bath were in excelent conditions and clean. I would stay there again if i have the chance.

너무 친절하고 깨끗한 곳

생각보다 방이 굉장히 넓어서 좋았고, 방, 욕실, 화장실 등 너무 깨끗해서 좋았습니다.
또 주인부부께서 굉장히 친절하고 청수사와 기온, 은각사 인근에 위치하여 이동이 편리합니다.
만약 다시 교토에 간다면 또 여기서 머물것 같아요~~

La plus belle expérience humaine de notre voyage

Malgré le fait que cette maison d'hôte soit à 10-15 minutes de tout transport en commun, je tiens à conseiller vivement cet établissement pour plusieurs raisons : La première, l’extrême gentillesse du couple qui tient cette maison ! Un couple de personnes âgées aux petits soins pour vous. Nous sommes arrivés trempés suite à une mini tempête, et ils se sont démenés pour nous réchauffer corps et âmes, nous servir du thé, sécher nos sacs, chaussures, vêtements... on se serait cru chez nos propres grands parents. Toujours prêt à aider même si ils ne comprennent presque pas l'anglais. Un plateau thé/fruit servis tous les soirs quand on rentre... des gens adorables que l'on oubliera jamais, un temps fort de notre voyage. Merci à vous ! En dehors de ça, la maison est spacieuse, la chambre agréable (traditionnelle japonaise), les salles de bains également (2 sdb et 2 toilettes pour 4 chambres), un petit jardin tout mignon, un gentil chat... et n'hésitez pas à vous promener dans les alentours car vous trouverez de belles rues authentiques avec maisons en bois, voir en pierres, les plus belles rues que nous avons vues à Kyoto.

So close to Kiyomizu dera!

It was not the easiest to find because I arrived after dark, but the room was clean and comfortable. The hosts were kind and the best part was that it was so close to Kiyomizu dera. Unlike other temples and shrines in Kyoto, Kiyomizu dera opens at 6 am. I could go there and enjoy before the arrival of the tour buses.

a cozy and convenient and old-style Japanese inn

Steps away from the street leading up to Kiyomizudera, this little guest house offers a distinctly Japanese experience to travelers prepared for it. Tatami mats, futon, Japanese style fixtures and decor -- all are here, as well as a Western-style room or two. The result is an elegance NOT what the hotel star rating measures. This is a minimalist aesthetic: sleep on the floor? sit on a stool when you shower? tailor your schedule to the rhythms of the whole house? It's not for everyone.

The couple who run the guest house are pleasant, kind, and well-versed in running a small inn. Some Japanese language, however, would be a necessity for any guest in the case of unexpected issues!

適合背包客，日式房間整體不錯，舒服！

離清水寺非常近，要行斜路上去的，背包客比較合適，寺的附近很早收，要吃宵夜的話只能到附近的lawson，房東很熱情但只能用簡單英語溝通，不過都沒什麼大問題，他們還請我們吃日式糖水，旅館内有2隻好可愛的貓，可以摸及拍照，房間内沒有浴室，但旅館内有2個很乾淨的，但是只能在晚上10時前使用，行夜街太晚回來的話就沒辦法洗澡

Nice guest house

Everything you need. 4 guest rooms with 2 toilets and 2 showers. Room that we had was spacious. Although the owners didn't speak much English we could still communicate. Nice little touches like getting green tea when we came back in each evening.

Comfortable Home Stay, location is great

Location is perfect to the temples. I stayed two nights and was happy with the room. Clean & neat , with big bathroom which is a surprise.
Friendly house owners. Couples cannot speak English but with simple English instructions. They were sweet to welcome me with tea and Nagako was helpful when I left with heavy rain.
The place is quiet at night. Though I checked in a bit late in the dark, no problem for me to find the place which is near a bus stop. With map in advance is suggested. I recommend who likes HomeStay. I did not have enough time to interact with the house owners, which is sad.

pas mal mais pas pour une semaine entiere

Accueil tres sympa, attention, petite côte rude pour arriver à la guest house, le soir après une journée de visite, ca peut être dur. Le quartier est super, touristique mais riche en visites.
Un peu de poussière dans les parties communes mais bon...
On se sent chez soi dans sa petite cgambre à yamato.

Lovely people, great location & price but unclean

The hotel is very conveniently located, although quite a walk uphill from the nearest station - not great if carrying heavy luggage.

Owners lovely, but English very basic and communicated via pre-written cards. Welcome drink provided and hot drink every evening. Two cats on property but I like cats, so not a problem.

Biggest problem with this room was cleanliness. Not cleaned at all in 5 days was there and bedding dirty when arrived. Got bug bites from bedding. Shared toilets and sink also unclean.

One very small and uncomfortable pillow meant I had to sleep on my cardigan most nights.

Convenient to visit Kiyomizudera

Very close to the Kiyomizudera, and only a few bus stops from Gion and Kyoto. If you want to book this guest house, make sure you google the exact location, it is situated at one alley from the main road to Kiyomizudera.

There are two house rules: no hot water shower after 2200 and the house owner would lock the house door at 2300. If you would return well before 2300, better inform the house couples.

There are altogether 4 rooms which are spacious enough. There are respectively two separated bathrooms and toilets.

Will recommend if you plan a stay near the Kiyomizudera. The house owner couple is very nice.
