セキュリティーがしっかりしている。立地がいいので観光しやすい。部屋が綺麗でゆっくり休めるが、外の景色は見られない。朝食は和食で美味しかった。

Hidden gem in Kyoto

Loved our stay here! Fantastic location. It is away from the very busy street but close enough to all the main attractions. The hotel was nice and clean. Beds were comfortable. The rooms are more spacious than your typical Japan hotel. Our flight was very delayed and we were worried that we wouldn’t be able to check in, based on the hotels strict no check in after midnight policy. We were very grateful that staff waited for us to check in.

It is perfect f you don't mind the hotel music all night while you are sleeping.
The staff was very helpful and responsive when I asked them to cut it down for the night.

Staff was friendly and helpful. They helped us with the local laundry service they advertise in the lobby. The location is phenomenal. Walking to everything is so easy and there are beautiful spots all around.

Great little hotel in the old Kyoto. Large, clean and very comfortable rooms. In walking distance to list of restaurants, temples and a quick walk to the train. Staff are warm and helpful. No restaurant or bar onsite as advertised , looks like there may have been one next door at some stage. The hotel is near a few sex hotels that seem to start getting busy around 9 pm, but this didn’t affect our stay. Just thought I’d mention it, so others are aware. We would book this hotel again, if we return to Kyoto.

Good hotel to rest

Great place to stay for NYE. Near temples and a short 15 mins walk to the main strip in Kyoto. There are a few love hotels around so maybe not a family area. Also a good 10-15 mins walk to the popular Gion Edo strip that leads to the most photographed temples

Probably one of our favourite hotel rooms from our Japan trip! We were very pleasantly surprised by the size. It was a good amount of space; much bigger than some of the rooms we’ve stayed in here. It was very clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly. Would have appreciated laundry facilities as well but small price to pay for a great stay.

Me gustó mucho el hotel, lo único que no me gustó es que el check out es a las 10 am, me parece demasiado temprano y te dejan claro que si te tardas te cobrarán por hora. Fuera de eso me encantó.

Gion U-Bell hotel Kyoto

Good location,with easy access to main street shopping and public transport. Next to an important temple. Lovely stay.

The property was in the old charming part of the Gion area which I loved. But the room was musty & dusty. I had to continually use allergy meds and asthma inhaler. They also did not offer luggage shipping options. Which really helps out solo travelers with luggage.

This is a great, small hotel in an excellent location. Rooms are large (for Japanese standards), have good amenities, and are clean. The bed was quite hard and it hurt my back a bit, and this is coming from someone who likes firm mattresses. There are no other hotel facilities to speak of, but if you want a clean, comfortable and stylish room in the centre of Gion, I recommend this hotel.

The staff are lovely and very helpful. The room was clean and spacious. Very quiet room with only 3 rooms per floor. The location is perfect and most attractions are walkable. We would stay here again without hesitation.

I stayed in this hotel for about two weeks, which is probably far longer than the typical business hotel guest. Despite this, the staff kept the room clean and well stocked with towels, and were very friendly. The location was perfect and had easy access to all 3 major convenience stores and was just minutes away from the historical parts of Gion.

Love the area !!

Simple and easy stay. Front desk people were super sweet and helpful. They don’t have laundry facilities. The area is nice close to a cute street.

Great Hotel!

We picked the Gion U-Bell somewhat blindly, but we were very happy with the attentiveness of the staff, the cleanliness and space is the hotel room for the three of us. It was great to come and rest after a full day of visiting the sights in Kyoto to refresh before going out for dinner.

Je le savais et j’allais sortir de la chambre à 10h mais je n’ai pas du tout apprécié cette façon de faire

The hotel is compact but clean, efficient and has good amenities. It’s in great location, although it was a little difficult to find at first because the signage is small and Google Maps sends me to the wrong location. Important to pay attention to the photo; otherwise, you may walk by a couple of times. Tip: look for that Tully Coffee shop on the corner and the hotel is across from a Lawson.

Fantastic hotel in Gion

We absolutely loved our stay at the Kyoto Gion U-BELL Hotel. The location was perfect, and we were able to walk to almost everything in town without having to take public transit. The hotel room itself was clean and spacious (water pressure was great), and the surrounding area as well as the building was nice and quiet. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Kyoto!

Shiny new hotel in a great location

Hotel is an extremely convenient location, and it's VERY new. Everything is clean and nice and in great condition. Staff were friendly and helpful. There's no vending machine on-site, but there's a Lawson literally across the street which has tons of options. Overall, I think for quality and location this is a great value. The room also had both a desk and a loveseat while not feeling cramped. I'd highly recommend.
