Really nice people run this place. Convenient to iwatake ski area. Breakfast is delicious and changes every day.

I am already planning to come back to this property for LNY 2026!! It was everything I could have wanted for a quiet and relaxing yet exciting first ski trip to Japan!

The place has this 1980s charm while having modern heating and toilets. Slope side to iwatake! Buses take you to all the other mountains.

The onsen was heaven after a gnarly day on the slopes. The outdoor hot tub was incredible with the fresh snowfall. Breakfast was filling and typical Asian style (as a western living in Asia 12 years it doesn’t bother me) yet had some western items for those that can’t try something new.

My only complaint is that it wasn’t near a lot of restaurants or downtown and if it was heavy snowfall you weren’t going anywhere at night. Also the pillows were very tradition Japanese and extra firm. I’m a softie girl myself but honestly I managed!

Can’t wait to return!

The surrounding is secluded without much to do after skiing. Amenities include ski storage room, washer/dryer and onsen. Go for half board if you have no transport to go around.

The staff provide excellent service to the guests. The dinner is very good, as specially the beef Shabu-shabu.

Bueno si se considera como albergue para esquiadores. Tiene restaurante pero es muy restringido el horario y los alimentos. Muy cercano a la estación de esquí lo que resulta muy conveniente

Allow you to relax after skiing

Very traditional Japanese style hostel. Can see Iwatake ski resort from our room. And the resort is just 2 mins walking distance from the hostel. The onsen and sauna are great. Location is convenient which is very near to other ski resorts. Parking is available with EV charging.

The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Hot meal every morning and just a few minute walk from the ski lift and bus stop to access all of Haluba

Incrível. São todos muito atenciosos, carismáticos e gentis. Estávamos de trem e o proprietário nos levou na estação com muita gentileza. Adoramos e sugerimos que outras famílias venham se hospedar aqui. Com certeza voltaremos.

It was really great that we were the only Caucasian visitors staying at the time, it was a Japanese family run lodge so felt authentic Japanese including sauna, indoor and outdoor onsen and the delicious in house dinner option each night was incredible.

It was good to stay but we pay extra for kids. We thought that 5people can sleep in a room so from the start we didn’t include the kids.

2 min walk to the lift. Traditional Japanese food very good mmmm. Extremely friendly staff. Do not speak English just a heads up. Quieter area. Def recommend Will be back one day

Room is good enough for 4 people.
Room with toilet and shower is preferred, as they are located on a new annex
